  1. What Pipeline said but it is possible to use ELS controls with the base game vehicles
  2. Heh. Judging from Twitter, YouTube comments, and GTAForums something tells me the OIV team are going to regret mentioning PS4. Just a sea of 'how do i get this to work on my ps4?!?!?!?'
  3. Joint operation by DOA, LSPD, and FIB's gang unit to apprehend notorious criminal, Franklin Clinton.
  4. Your latest 'patchday' folder will be the one with the highest number. E.g. patchday17ng But I would highly recommend using Albo's modding pack.
  5. Quite the leap to suggest questioning the police means siding with criminals! I do not necessarily disagree with you though! I served as a special constable (volunteer police officer for non-UK users) for a few years and no one bats at an eye at the vast majority of interactions because they are routine and you can assume on the basis of probability the officer is doing everything 'by the book' and what is expected of them, but I think we are losing sight of the original point and perhaps I possibly could have clarified this better in the previous post. So I'll clarify, when I say "people like to hold LEOs to a higher standard" I mean people do not want to see police officers acting on the same level as common gangs. Most reasonable and sane people will not look at GTALawEnforcer's posts and think "I think he 'll make a great police officer" because so far he does not measure up to what expectations people have of police. I.e. understanding the role isn't about revenge or retribution. It's what separates us from 'them'.
  6. It certainty sounds and looks great. I have been dreaming of a police RTS type game for years. Though I will admit the talks of Kickstarter makes me cautiously optimistic. Best of luck with the development though. Hope we'll see more soon.
  7. You seem to be conflating holding LEOs to a higher standard with high standards of training and undying loyalty/respect. It's absurd to suggest one has to automatically presume law enforcement is justified in everything they do to hold them to a higher standard. The reason questions get asked is because people have higher expectations of the police. And don't make the mistake of thinking there's an overlap of people who hold LEOs to a higher standard and those who think they are are inherently bad. Twitter, Tumblr, and other social media outlets do not tend to be representative of the general population. The average person does not care when a shooting is reported, and more often than not they most likely will presume the shooting was justified. But in GTALawEnforce's hypothetical scenario, if the media gets hold of footage of a LEO stood around a bleeding out 'gangbanger' not rendering aid or or "shooting first, let IA ask questions later" then questions are going to be rightfully asked. Part of those higher standards is being able to set aside personal beliefs and getting on with the job. N.b. I do apologise for any grammatical errors, typing this from a phone.
  8. Wait, let me get this straight, your rebuttal is a photo of some handgun certificate that anyone can get and saying you're a security guard at a bar? Hahahaha (x100). I've never seen someone boast about working security before so kudos to you. It is indeed difficult to weed out certain people, and they usually go on to later be fired or end up in the media, but saying you're neither 'crazy' nor 'stupid'? That's a bold claim when you're stupid enough to post such things on a public forum when you want a career in law enforcement. But in all honesty, if you're willing to throw away 'presumption of innocence' or have a desire to see someone 'lying in a puddle of his own blood' then you're really no better than the people you like to criticise. Surprisingly people like to hold members of the law enforcement community to a higher standard than criminals. Imagine that.
  9. I'll be honest, it's quite worrying your profile indicates you wish to work in law enforcement. You're going to give a lot of officers a bad name if you ever do get past the interview stages. Thankfully they tend to be pretty good at weeding out certain types. Helping and rendering aid to people regardless of their attitude, background, or occupation is the job. The person with the 'fuck the police' bumper sticker or the 'gang banger' who got shot in a dispute deserves and will get the same service as a church going middle class mother. Presumption of innocence is a key principle in any civilised and free society.
  10. Christ, could you both be anymore entitled? Lundy isn't obligated to release his/her models. It's easy to see why a lot of the good modellers have stopped releasing stuff when this is how the community acts.

  12. You've quoted me but have yet conveniently skipped over the main part of my post. Interesting. This isn't completely new for North Korea, nor a 'historic event'. I'll say again, see Jong-Il's meetings in 2000 and again in 2007. South Korea have credited Trump for 'opening the door', only time will tell how responsible Trump is for getting Jong-Un to walk through the door. I'm not attempting to deny the U.S' role but don't start celebrating yet, and don't be surprised when this turns out to be a ploy to try and ease economic sanctions.
  13. I think people are letting both their love and hatred of Trump cloud their judgement on this one. Whether Trumps levying nuclear threats helped pressure Kim, no one can say for certain. What we do know for certain however is that this 180 has been since Kim's meeting with Xi Jinping on the 8th which leads me to believe he is likely the driving force behind this. It's also worth nothing this is not unprecedented of North Korea. Kim Jong-Il met with Roh Moo-hyun in 2000 and later in 2007 making the exact same promises - denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula, formal end of the war, etc. Spoilers: It was just an attempt to get economic sanctions lifted. If I were a betting man, I'd guess the same thing is happening here. Sanctions were increased back in November when NK fired missiles over Japan, China has gradually been decreasing aid, and the rumoured destruction of their nuclear testing facility means life is probably starting to get hard for the elites in Pyongyang. We'll see what happens but I wouldn't get too excited yet.
  14. Yeah, I used the auto install & 'brighter emergency lights' from the optional add-ons.

  16. My apologies, I just presumed from the way you worded your original post. But yeah, NaturalVision Remastered & the L.A. Roads mod will make your game look great with no cost to performance.

  21. NaturalVision Remastered, but I imagine if VisualV/Radiance is killing your performance most other visual mods will too.
It's been a long wait but it was worth it! Incredible release and will make a fine permanent edition to my game. Thanks!
