Im extremely excited for this lol.  I didn't think I would be back to checking this page every day again haha.

As for suggestions I always feel weird suggesting things to mod authors since I have no idea how easy/hard something would be to implement but I do think having a hot sheet of peds for every patrol would be neat.

Like a list is populated of peds in the area to be on the lookout for every time the player starts a new patrol.  The player has to keep in mind that these names/faces/outfits are wanted for questioning or for a warrant and during the course of a players patrol they could come across these peds.  I think it just adds some more things to keep on the lookout for and gives the player something to check and a goal to aim for every time they start new patrol.  Even better if you could have locations they frequent as well so the player would actually have to scan for the peds in these specific area.  Just my thoughts of something to implement.  Can't wait to see what you guys ultimately decide to put in here!

I believe I am close to releasing a beta of this, it just needs a little more depth and testing before release.

I am going to try to add a little more randomization/outcomes to each function to make it more unique with differing peds. There are still a few bugs and things I need to adjust but right now all of the features work as intended.

    Current status:
    Observe suspect: 99%
    Field Sobriety Test: 100%
    Miranda Rights: 100%
K9 assistance: 95% (I believe I need to optimize it a little further as it was causing a little fps drop)

I may make a video showcasing the functions soon

This is great news! Glad that you're still developing LSPDFR. Please tell me you'll be fixing several of the annoying bugs in 0.3 such as the U-turning traffic on freeways, the AI arrest bug (where if the AI arrests someone and you walk away you get units turning up on scene for the suspect and then they just abandon their cars) and the stopping/arresting civ bug (where it glitches out and you can no longer stop or arrest someone without aiming a gun at them). Also the use of character customization built into LSPDFR is great! Especially as some people have problems getting EUP working for them. So hats off you guys! Can't wait to see what else you have planned for this update.

I have implemented a work around for this already, you select the ped for FST then they are frozen in place. You then move to a location that is suitable for them to walk safely, then face the direction you want them to walk and press a key. Currently, the ped is then teleported in front of you and they perform the test. I am looking into using an alternative to teleporting though for immersion purposes

I did check on part picker. But considering free shipping, general warranty and pre-isntalled W10, it doesnt really seem a bad idea. Plus the case looks great.

I thought exatcly the same @onebad97cobra. Those damn cryptominers screwed the GPU market over the few past months. Its a sure thing if you buy this PC when parts hit a very high price. Both consumer and store are protected

Actually, in the US we have something called the 5th Amendment. You do not have to talk to investigators here, regardless of whether you are a cop or not. However, you are right in the fact that you would likely be in a cell by now (that is unless you went home on bail).

    Hey all,
I was browsing through plugings looking for something to assist me in my patrols like a cruise control. I downloaded it and put it in game but wasn't very satisfied with it. I had an idea for another plugin.
What I was thinking is still along the lines of cruise control, but it's more of a "speed limiter" - you set the speed (like you would for cruise control) and your car will accelerate up to that speed but not over. I think this would really help with staying with the flow of traffic in game. It seems like it would be easier than cruise control as you don't have to try and hit that speed then press to activate, or just turn it on and page up/page down repeatedly as traffic slows/accelerates.
I am by no means a developer, I'm just curious if anyone else would find something like this useful. Maybe if we get some support rolling for it we'll get a dev to make it. :)
Is there something like this already out there?
Thanks guys, any feedback is appreciated.

What a major victory for every member of the GTA modding community that kept backing the OpenIV team. Very grateful to everybody who signed the petition, left a negative Steam review and covered this in news articles.

Most unfortunately, we've also seen people leave, call all single player modding (including scripting) illegal, say you'd get lawyers at your door if you continued to use OpenIV, say they'd switch their gameplay to FiveM to "abide by Take Two's wishes" (Take Two took down FiveM months ago and hasn't given permission to continue its development) and a load of other absurdities. Excuses and claims which are no more than a steaming pile of old baloney!
I felt obliged to do an impromptu stream to bust all these ridiculous lies and to thank those that stuck by the single player modding community and OpenIV. You should really consider throwing OpenIV a donation for their thousands of hours of work and to support them in all the stress they've been having over unwarranted legal fears - without the OpenIV developers, you'd be stuck with default vehicles, peds, visuals and textures.

Furthermore, major thanks to @t0y for creating and promoting his game-changing petition which accumulated over 80k signatures.

    Keep modding!

    Uhhhmmm, quite bluntly. No.

Not only are DDoS attacks illegal, they are extremely stupid. We all don't like this idiotic move by Take-Two, doesn't mean we should devalue our point by partaking in illegal activities against the normal Grand Theft Auto Online users. Additionally, we do not allow any content to be shared here if the author does not want it to, in this case the distribution of OpenIV has been ceased so as such distribution of said software is forbidden on this site.

I didn't say you can't do it, I just said do it in private. Re-uploading files of a discontinued modification or program without the consent of the original creator is against our community guidelines. It doesn't matter what it is.

I just realized that I find it quite challenging to drive at speed and also apply my 2nd siren tone as I go through traffic lights (which is what it's for).

I know there are mods out there for managing sirens, but it would be really great to have a mod which is able to switch the siren tone whenever I am approaching and passing through a traffic light or junction etc.

Does anyone know whether this is possible to do?

    Thanks.

It would be interesting if forum members from other countries tell their country's attitude towards police. As far as I can tell what you're describing is definitely not only an American issues, and I wonder if any country succeeded in reforms you're describing.

I have nothing but respect for those US LEOs I met and interacted while I was in the States, but the scope of authority American police has surprises me. So much depends on the personality of a LEO.

But I guess that discussion is completely unrelated :/

Everything I was taught about the TBL was that it originated in 1966 in California during a time when the Black Panther Party was attacking police stations and ambushing officers and encouraging the hateful rhetoric  towards law enforcement.
Later it signified I am one of you so don't pull me over just like the legendary CHP 10-99 plates/badges.
But I do agree that now it has become a trend with many people using it as a front to make money selling worthless trinkets/stickers at a huge mark up playing on people's emotions due to current events.
I have turned away many gifts related to the TBL and various similar organisations (decals/shirts/hats/etc.) because now it has become synonymous to a target many of my colleagues have had windows busted and their vehicles vandalised because of it.
