I'm edging towards i5 6600K and possibly a RX 480 8GB, but it's hard to tell how it actually goes because of the shitfight between the fanboys. Releasing the RX 4xx and the GTX 10xx series so close together was a fucking horrible decision from a consumer trying to find real info view. Even every video review on YT seems to tip differently to each side, one video has the RX better, the next has the 1060 on top.. From what I can basically gather, the chain of gaming horsepower now goes (descending) 1080 > 980Ti > 1070 > 1060 (VERY marginally with the RX) > RX 480 (marginally with the R9)> R9 390X >GTX 980 > 970 etc AMD seem to be better for the dollars, 1060 is the same price but no SLi among other cons compared to RX, and I'm abit ... Ehhhhh about dropping $650-700 on a card hard to decide big shit storm among fanboys @Darkmyre @SkillfulCorpse Don't suppose you guys bought ArmA 3 in the last sale, I'm interested to see how that goes on the AMD CPUs, one combined with a real good card and one with a more dated, good but not as good card, it's meant to be a real CPU heavy game.

Oh nice, didn't see the AMD CPU bundled with a GTX coming, what GPU were you running pre-release of the 1070? Im really hnnngg about the pricing of nVidia's GPU's

The only point of that event I criticise is placing the sniper behind 2 panes of glass, and (allegedy) one of them was meant to be bulletproof, so whenever he had a shot, he couldn't take it anyway. Agreed though, military technology is advancing at a scary rate, you'd think perhaps they'd sink some money into making something useful for real world situations like this. 600th post, but also that video addresses the thigh holster? ---------------- A very good read, ex-HWP actually cars go for fucking cheap as shit considering their age and odometer, 17k for an 2013 Xr6 Turbo that's not even hit 100k? Where and when do the shit these auctions happen, I need in. Given.. They've been thrashed, but atleast you know they've been regularly serviced. http://www.motormag.com.au/news/1607/buying-a-highway-patrol-car/

I suggest you read into the inquest on why that happened, why the police did what they did, and how it panned out the way it did. I don't think you realise this, because "waiting out the front" is all the news showed, but there was actually a lot more going on behind the scenes, so the inquest is now showing, a lot of difficult decisions made.

Ah far out, I've had to re install everything and I've forgotten nearly all the mods I had, especially one real useful one Anyone know the name of this character menu mod, the menu is pink, up the top instead of the side like other character menu mods and I think the default key is F8?

That SA logic though haha Being well trained won't stop a really determined person from putting a bullet in you. While Southern Australia, along with WA and NT aren't really real big targets, unpredictable shit happens and it's as simple as that.

You've been watching too much Hollywood. For examples sake, the exact same reason they shot Harambe the Gorilla instead of tranquilizing him. Things like that are actually slow acting in reality, and there's many issues with using this thing to force people to go to sleep who don't want to, or intend to cause harm. By the time it starts working (slowly), the terrorist (or gorrilla) has time to realise it's being forced to sleep, panic, and cause damage. When you're talking about a gas with the ability to send a human to sleep, it can also go two ways a) be non-effective - in which case this might also agitate the situation b) the risk of over dosing and permanently going to sleep instead of a nice little "nap" While not squashing people's ideas, because ideas and brainstorming is how systems improve I really wish people would stop using fictional hollywood logic and apply it to criticize our police or army.

(facepalm) The only thing that's changed is the "ask questions first and shoot later" procedure to "shoot first, ask questions later" in terrorist events. They no longer negotiate with terrorists, because it's been made clear no amount of negotiating will stop them from doing what they went there to do. I feel like I saw something about Vicpol cops can't travel alone, but you still see ranking NSW cops travelling alone so that's not changed for us yet.

This probably doesn't help because those darn Victorians don't usually go with the flow, they like to be hipster and do their own thing (banter), I'm thinking they'd be the same on this though, but in NSW they wear what looks to be some sort of Kevlar shoulder/upper arm pad (on the left arm I believe) with the normal NSW police badge on it, and the commander wears the same pad but in red and says commander down the side of it, I think. I may be wrong because I've never paid close attention to it but I've seen their uniform briefly every now and then on the news from raids and stuff. Edit: Anyway I was wrong, Victoria don't like doing what NSW does at all. I hope you can see it but where the NSW bagde would sit in the middle of the arm they have a big pocket, and then above that pocket sits like an arch kind of badge, I haven't found a picture where I can tell what it says, probably "Special Operations Group" Those image are probably big for someone on a PC, I can't adjust the size of them on my phone. heres some images of the NSW arm pad I was talking about, although one guy wears it in his left, and the other on his right.

If you've re installed both LSPDFR and RagePlugin Hook it's safe to say it's not those Google how to make exceptions for specified programs in whatever anti virus you run, and google how to make exceptions in Windows firewall obviously somethings changed, and it can happen for no reason, my bet is the AV has updated its database (because it can do this automatically on startup without you knowing) and now sees Ragehook as a threat or some sort of spammy application, although I would imagine youd get this big warning message when trying to open it if it thought it was malware. It's easier for you to google how to make an exception than to explain it here myself. Explore that, and if it doesn't work I'm all out of ideas and the tech help forums would be of more assistance.

If it's the AV, you should be able to make exceptions for specified programs, same with windows firewall I think. The firewall could be blocking it too, it's weird in the way that sometimes it chooses to change what it likes and dislikes randomly. Easier and quicker to try re-downloading ragehook again and re installing it though, then explore the other options.

Yesssss, exactly the info I read about and forgot when this whole thing started Interesting that they fail the mustang on the brakes test if it was a stock mustang - because they don't use stock brake drums in the current Holden and fords. Yonks ago they asked Holden and ford to put bigger, better brake drums in their cars so they could safely stop on a dime during pursuits and not burn through brake pads as much. I would've assumed they could've just asked Ford to do the same again with the mustang.

There's a few highways/freeways in NSW that are separated by grass, tall hedges and mostly trees n stuff. One I can think of is heading up towards central coast way.
