I know they were testing out many cars such as mercedes, volkswagen, bmw sports cars and ofcourse the mustang, but thought they ruled it out. Maybe they've bought some of these cars for trial to see what the officers think about them in the real world setting. That'd be thinking. Ask the people that'll use them what they think, instead of leaving decisions up to people chained to a desk.

Very nice, and it's not too out there considering they actually considered having the mustang in their HWP fleet to replace Commodore's & Falcons in 2018/19 I think it was ruled out being a coupe among other factors, damn shame, there should be a four door mustang variant, would've made the perfect cop car.

O...oh I looked into tire smoke mods, because the GTA smoke fucking sucks, I understand they scaled back on things to maximise performance, but gee, disappating 3ft from the car is unbelievable. Anyway so I saw this mod "so I smoke right", it looks to be a little improvement but not so much. So @Darkmyre is this possibly something in your field/you could look into when you're not so busy/not working on any other cool shit? I say suck-up-ingly

mmph, I can't wait to hoon the fuck outta this. Those metal bars and soft top are my only issue, I think they belong on like a 4x4 ute, but that's my personal choice. Hard top all the way. I really wish there was a realistic tire smoke mod, where it just mass clouds together and takes a while to clear. It probably exists - but I'm just not looking in the right places. I don't think I need to say anymore about this, the fg's were sexy utes, but everything is better with a holden badge. Edit: I just noticed this, any chance of lowering the front end of this ute? The ride height doesn't match. Minor issue but decreases hektik pointz therefore decreasing horsepower @MooseYTY

Very nice, you're pretty much in Sydney though, and depending on how close to the node you are, you might not have to travel far to the node, and from the node you again don't have to travel far to either the nearest exchange or data centre even. It took me ages to gather the money for my gaming laptop (this one retails for about 2 grand), and it's not even the best. It does a good 40FPS at max settings, but throttles at like 65*C. If anyone's seriously worried about their screenshots looking dodgy, I've not got the best computer, as in it doesn't go hard on 4K with perfect anti aliasing edges, but it's a good 1080P image with decent AA settings. But I'm willing to do some screenshots for people's releases when I get GTA re-installed (I have to rip the iso from the disk on another computer, transfer the ISO's and mount them, but the other PC is being a fuck and freezing mid burn, so it won't be until I can get my hands on an external DVD drive) I would download GTA, but to that I say HA! while still running copper all the way to the exchange, I don't even have Turnbull's Fraudband yet..

Wow this discussion has been expanded heaps since I last got to check. Anyway my laptop came back today, so I can constantly be editing again (really was a mess to deal with on the iPhone's small screen, pics were scewed n shit). So if I've missed something that's happened, announced or been released over the past like 10 or whatever pages since my laptop went away, please reply or inbox me or whatnot. I might temporarily hold off on adding WIP's that are either simple or soon to be released, simply because the WIP section is getting big and it might be hard to keep up. So I'll prioritise big projects or ones that will take ages I think. Anyway, a few things about the things I noticed while scrolling through the last couple of pages - That FG falcon makes me fucking cum, @MooseYTY, I was afraid the FG series, pre-mustang front end would get left behind. I've actually been hoping someone would be keen enough to convert an FG HWP from GTA IV to GTA V, but because everyone's busy working on awesome shit already I kept it to myself. - No, the Australian Army no longer uses the Steyr Aug (it's abit outdated), but they basically use an enhanced version of it now, the f88 I think someone said. It looks the same, but handling is generally better and can be easily taken apart and screwed back together in whatever operations might require that, might be cheaper to build or some shit too, I was reading about it when they first changed to it, but forget most of what the article said about it. Pretty much same gun but modified to be better, slapped a different name on it. I've never seen them use the M4a1 or whatever someone said. But that could be used in some behind the scenes, almost nobody but them gets to see thing. - AussieGamer is right, the VF Commodore HWP is much much much sexier and beefier than the Falcon GT version (even though both are just show cars, unfortunately). - That Hilux K9 car.. I've never seen it in person, but it looks like something I'd want in my game, the Falcon K9 car is good, but everything is better when it's a Hilux. (; - A sprinter model is like ~$200 on Humer3D or whatever that site is from memeory.. So I mean, if enough people chip in, $50 would certainly go a long way, but if even more chip in, it'd be even less per person. But @Macgregor is right, it'd be a complete clusterfuck working out who gets to work on it, all that shit, and also when you're dealing with something a bunch of people have paid for, they might not understand how long the process is and get irate.

Although Defence Jobs Australia keep posting pictures with the old camo, so I'm assuming the camo is only for people touring, and the old blob uniforms are used by recruits or in-country bases/jobs. I'd tell you for sure what the go is with why they're still kind of using the old blobby uniform, but all my mates seem to decide to join the Navy instead.

I've seen the black riot control and our version of "swat" (they might even be the same thing) black 4wd's though. It's just normal GD checkers with black paint isn't it? Edit: I think they might have roof racks n shit too, and little square LED flashing lights on the roof racks or whatever, from really rough, rusty memory.

That code 3 GD falcon blows my mind, I didn't think I'd see it for a while yet. I was waiting forever for these things including Aussie Cops, I send my laptop away and boom almost everything I wanted to come out has been released! That's mad, I love how the fog lights work without the headlights on, is that just a civ model? I'd (one day, there's much bigger priorities) love to have Commodores and Falcons roaming around as civ cars, possibly have some falcon taxis and whatever going on.

I was wondering what everyone runs, CPU/GPU/RAM, what performance they get from it and recommendations for a mobo, and cheap enough ~100MHz-144Hz monitor (I don't need to go as high as 144Hz, but I'd like above 90Hz, budget for a monitor is about ~250/300), asking for 1440p is pushing it at that budget but I feel like if it's not as high as 144Hz it could make it into the budget, if such a 1440p/~100Hz monitor exists (I've only found 1440p/144Hz @$650+) Also recommendations for a good PC store with cheap prices, I've based my pricing off PCCG but I believe somewhere out there, there'd be a cheaper pc shop in Australia I can get my parts from. I'd like to see some screenshots of how your games look as long as your specs if that's not too much. Not urgent - because there's a possibility that the laptop might get repaired instead.

Yeah, mainly in Sydney and there's some closer to me, in Newcastle. I sometimes see them with bullbars too, if it isn't already an option, hint hint (; @bronyrapper These VF's, Camry's and Colorado's are sexy as fuck and make me internally hard, (not physically ofcourse, thatd be weird, but I'm just excited for them all). I'm also really excited for the sports wagon with the low profile lights. Although I sometimes I see the Camry with the Hazard bars like what's on Macgregor's Hilux.. But then again, sometimes I see the Hilux and Colorado with those low profile code 3 type bars instead. When all these cars are released I think it'd be cool to see a variant of the Hilux/Colorado with the code 3 bar, and a Camry variant with the bulkier 'Hazard' (if that's their name) bars.

Funding is different between the states, I think NSW has the most funding between QLD, VIC and NSW, so yeah certainly does depend on where you live and the big cities I'd imagine the big cities are the priority for getting the new cars. My local cop shop uses a mix of camry's, pajero's, paddy wagons for GD's, and Highway Patrol for this area is based in a city about 45 minutes away, they still make it here and make a day of cracking down here a few days a week. Haven't seen a VE in a while now that you mention it. In northern outback NSW like Dubbo and upwards they're still pushing the VE's apart of their HWP fleet. An idea that's just been sparked: I'd like to see a Toyota Camry GD car - QLD use them for Highway Patrol cars, and there's been some detectives roll around in a camry with just dash and rear window lights around this area.

Yeah they slowly get replaced every year or two, but obviously not all at once. Still got VE's here in NSW. My girlfriends uncle retired from the force not too long ago, he was telling me that they basically get the cars for free, so they have no problem buying new ones each year because they get their money back. They buy the cars with absolutely no tax of any sort, may get some sort of minor discount for buying bulk but that's not clear, use it for a year or two and sell it for market value which is pretty much what they bought it for tax free, and the gear from the sold cars goes back onto the new ones. So basically the only money they spend is the money to have the livery's put on and to have someone put the gear in to the new cars. I might change more of those links to the basic ones.. Damnit I really thought I'd changed enough. I wish this site could take more requests, but then that'd obviously make the site vulnerable again. I'm keen as shit to have the VF in my fleet with the FGX. Damn son. Oh man I didn't even see that one! God these VF's are looking awesome. When I compare these I think they look pretty similar/the same except for the lack of the windows, if anything I think the Ambulance is a little longer, or maybe that's just my eyes.
