Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
I found a decent one for $750, actually. That fucking surprised me
-
Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
Yes you do. Any alienware under $1400 has a bad GPU. Alienware is WAY overpriced, just upgrade your PC now.

Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
None of them. they're all DDR2.

Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
lol, a mac for gaming. No, all of those cards are bad. You have a DDR2 motherboard in probably all of your PCs, that means you CANNOT HANDLE GTA 4 without a new motherboard!
-
Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
That other PC is DDR2 as well.
-
Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
Your MB is DDR2, that card is DDR3.

Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
Meh, I thought =/= was not equal Oh wait, programming. I'm an idiot, I forgot that :P

Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
That's what I said... In a GPU, memory is for resolution, it doesn't measure the GPU's power.
-
Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
That 1gb vs 256mb really doesn't mean all that much, that's just for resolution. As for GPU power, they're equal for their time. 8500GT was top notch 5 years ago, the other one sucks for nowadays, so they're equal.
-
Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
Neither, they both suck.
-
Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
Neither card is good for this. I remember like 3-4 years ago when the 8500GT was top of the line :P Now, it's left in the dirt to die like the old Pentium 4's

Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
Pentium... ah.. Reminds me of being a young(er) kid... I broke the SATA slot on my old PC, so It's sitting there useless now :( . Pentium 4 brings back memories, along with that 64mb graphics chip, PCI, 200W PSU... Ah. It wasn't until really 2-3 years ago that I started learning about parts and all this stuff.

It really only takes seconds to set everything up, only one person for support is needed, really.- Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
I meant my entire case, I know you can't swap the card's. Running a high end card like that with a high ass CPU with all the other parts down there, it'll get HOT in there. Right now my GPU runs at about 110 degrees F (I think). My room is pretty hot, so I need more ventilation when I get new parts.- Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
I heard the 6850 has a good fan, but the FX-4170 has a crappy one. Seeing as how it's a 4.3 ghz quad core CPU, I'm gonna buy a new heatsink/fan and put some more holes and fans into my case to improve the airflow. I shouldn't have that problem :)- Something I made for LCPDFR.com
Good one :) I haven't made graphics on paint.net for years, but if I can pull out my old rusty skills, I can give you some tips to make it even better.- Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
The thing with most people coming on here is, they wanna play GTA with 15-20 FPS minimum. I currently play that with my 4350, and this is a pretty good budget card. After a while, it gets irritating. Save up your money, get a new MB and GPU. Alright cards start at around $140, and a motherboard should be maybe $50-120, depending on if your case is ATX or uATX. Also, what happens when GTAV comes out, or Battlefield 4 or something? You'll find yourself in the same exact situation, needing a new video card. I'm getting a 6850 for $150 off newegg, and that will handle games for at least 5+ years from now.- Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
Maybe I read it was 3.0 not BC... Meh. Most MBs are 2.0 now, and I'm gonna be putting in a 2.1 card, so I guess he can try the 5550 in a 1.0 slot... Even though such a low end card is a bad idea...- Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
Well if your MB is 1.0, then you'd need a new motherboard before you get a 2.0 card.- Good Graphics Card for GTA IV?
I may not be right, but I think 2.0 video cards aren't backwards compatible with 1.0 slots, so if you put a 2.0 card into a 1.0 slot, it'll probably burn out. - LCDPFR Newbie here!
