  1. Never buy a cheap CPU especially on your budget. Replacing your CPU always results in having to get a new motherboard so you want a CPU thats going to last. Go for the Intel Core i7-4790K or Intel Core i5-4690K. The graphics card 780 TI is last years model and has become obsolete. You want 4gb of vram not 3gb. Go for the GTX 970 or 980. Buy an ssd of atleast 250gb not 120gb. The new GTA V is going to be 65Gb and wont even fit on a 120Gb ssd with windows installed.
  2. If I was you I would do some research of my own (Google). Get an understanding of the iterations of graphics cards Nvidia and AMD. Same with the CPU's Intel and AMD. Next year when you are actually planning to buy the PC you will have a decent understanding of PC hardware and where to get the best advice in buying/building your own PC. You decide what PC to get when you are actually going to buy it. Not a year in advance.
  3. After Playing with the mod some more it seems that the only key mapping that is missing is JoinPursuit=None (I mapped it to "X") In v0.95 there was the possibility to turn on the siren lights using the "/" key. What key is it assigned to in v1.0? I am unable to find it in the INI file ^ Nothing is wrong with its just not for the Xbox Controller.
  4. It appears that default controller mapping in the lcpdfr.ini file is a bit lackluster. If somebody has managed to create a good button mapping please share. This is currently the default mapping. [KeybindingsController] WalkFaster=None AcceptPartner=LeftShoulder WalkFasterModifierKey=None AcceptCalloutModifierKey=LeftShoulder DenyCalloutModifierKey=LeftShoulder RandomizeCopModel=DPadDown AcceptCallout=A AcceptPartnerModifierKey=None DenyCallout=B BlockAreaModifierKey=None Dialog4ModifierKey=None RandomizeCopModelModifierKey=None JoinPursuit=None ArrestModifierKey=None RequestAmbulanceModifierKey=None ShowQuickActionMenuModifierKey=None Dialog1=DPadLeft PreviousCopModelTexture=DPadDown AimMarkerModifierKey=None ArrestCallTransporter=X PulloverLicenseNoModifierKey=None AimMarker=None Dialog1ModifierKey=None PreviousCopModelTextureModifierKey=None PulloverLicenseNo=DPadRight ConfirmCopModel=A ArrestCallTransporterModifierKey=None ConfirmCopModelModifierKey=None IssueParkingTicket=LeftShoulder Arrest=LeftShoulder IssueParkingTicketModifierKey=None RequestAmbulance=None ShowQuickActionMenu=LeftThumb OpenTrunkModifierKey=None NextCopModel=DPadRight TutorialStartPoliceDepartment=X NextCopModelModifierKey=None TutorialStartPoliceDepartmentModifierKey=None ArrestDriveToPDModifierKey=None RecruitPartner=X ArrestDriveToPD=B BlockArea=None Dialog4=DPadUp JoinPursuitModifierKey=None ToggleHat=None ToggleHatModifierKey=None CallInPursuitModifierKey=DPadDown PulloverStart=X CallInPursuit=X PulloverStartModifierKey=None RequestBackup=DPadDown ConfirmCopCarModelModifierKey=None ConfirmCopCarModel=A RequestBackupModifierKey=A ShowPursuitTacticsMenuModifierKey=None ViewIntroductionModifierKey=None RecruitPartnerModifierKey=None Dialog2ModifierKey=None TutorialStartModifierKey=None Dialog2=DPadRight TutorialStart=X PoliceComputer=LeftShoulder Dialog3ModifierKey=None PreviousCopModelComponentModifierKey=None Dialog3=DPadDown PoliceComputerModifierKey=None PreviousCopModelComponent=LeftThumb PreviousCopCarModel=DPadLeft StartModifierKey=None GrabSuspectModifierKey=None NextCopModelTextureModifierKey=None RequestNooseBackupModifierKey=DPadDown GrabSuspect=LeftShoulder NextCopModelTexture=DPadUp RequestNooseBackup=B PreviousCopModel=DPadLeft PreviousCopModelModifierKey=None StartChaseOnPed=None HolsterTaserModifierKey=None RequestFirefighter=None UpdateCalloutState=None HolsterTaser=RightThumb StartChaseOnPedModifierKey=None RequestHelicopterBackup=None RequestFirefighterModifierKey=None UpdateCalloutStateModifierKey=None NextCopCarModelModifierKey=None PartnerRegroup=None ToggleSirenModeModifierKey=None NextCopCarModel=DPadRight ToggleSirenMode=None OpenTrunk=LeftShoulder RequestHelicopterBackupModifierKey=None ShowPursuitTacticsMenu=None ViewIntroduction=LeftShoulder PartnerArrestModifierKey=None PulloverLicenseYesModifierKey=None ToggleBusy=DPadDown PartnerArrest=None PulloverLicenseYes=DPadLeft PartnerRegroupModifierKey=None Start=None PreviousCopCarModelModifierKey=None ToggleBusyModifierKey=None
  5. Happy New Year, and a special thanks all you modders out there. Cheers
  6. I'm not sure if this mod helps, but at least it will give you a shoot out at the end of the pursuit. http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=392978
  7. This tymecycle is great. I had to download to download the TLAD dlc again to fix the grain issue, but it was well worth it. To people who are having shiny roads I suggest using DKT70's road textures which came with his HD texture pack. Not all but most roads don't have any reflection except when its raining. As for the bright light I suggest using a corona form Metalwars Corona pack. I have my brightness on 2 saturation on 3 and contrast on 5
  8. I use a weapon sound mod from the realism series by CES. Every sound mod in that series is from really high quality. http://www.gta4-mods.com/weapons/realism-series---weapon--explosion-sounds--ph-f17414
  9. What version are you using? 0.67 only works on EFLC. 0.68 works on GTA IV
  10. I found this on the GTA forums and thought some of you might like it. http://www.gtagarage...ow.php?id=22038 Siren Control Tool is a C++ Scripthook script which is extending control over your sirens. You can disable/enable siren sound, switch on/off automatic tone change, sound horn while sirens are on (this feature force all vehicles on front of you to clear your way) and set up automatic horn push on firetrucks. Every key & interval is fully customisable. How to customize ? Open SirenTool.ini with notepad or other text editor. To change key's look in to " [ CONTROLS ] " section. You can find key ID's at the bottom of configuration file. To set time between siren change look in to " [ TIME ] " section. Interval is set by milisecods, that means every 1 second = 1000 miliseconds. You can always reload configuration from file by pressing Ctrl + R so you can find perfect timing for you sirens without turning GTA off... To turn features ON/OFF look in to " [ SETTINGS ] " section. Use 1 if you want feature to be used or 0 if you don't want to.
  11. Lower your graphic settings.
  12. make sure you are in edit mode (top right). Then right click on the file you want to edit in this case hud.wtd and select edit. You will now be able to replace individual dds's within the wtd.
  13. If you bought your copy via steam its real easy to obtain them without reinstalling the whole game. Just verify the integrity of gamecache. Steam will no check and replace all altered files with the original ones. Just make sure you make a backup of the altered files you want to keep. Hope this helps.
  14. If you dont have a good PC dont bother with ENB. You will never get the result your looking for, just a laggy game. Get a timecycle mod instead. There are some really good ones out there and they will not affect your FPS. In the following thread you can find the links to one I am currently using.
  15. If you have a crappy computer like me (GTX 460 1gb) use the following two mods. You get a similar result as ENB but without the frame rate drops. Use RealityIV 1.62 Timecycle Mod in combination with injectSMAA - Antialiasing in GTA IV / EFLC. I get like 40 - 45 fps on average all settings on high with view distance and detail both set to 90. I also suggest getting HD Road Textures by DKT70 Re-Edited by Fonia5 and metalwars coronaspack v1.0 and Blood Tweak v1.0. All these mods can be used in MP without any problems. http://www.gta4-mods.com/misc/realityiv-162-timecycle-mod-f7929 http://www.gta4-mods.com/misc/injectsmaa---antialiasing-in-gta-iv--eflc-f12893 http://www.gta4-mods.com/misc/coronas-pack-v10-f13642 http://www.gta4-mods.com/misc/blood-tweak-v10-f13699
  16. I have to agree with Van Dyck, The Wireless Xbox controller for PC is great. Need to drive pick up the controller need to shoot use the keyboard its that easy. and in most games the menu buttons change to the Xbox buttons to make the experience even better.
  17. I know Alien-ware is overpriced, it was overpriced 5 years ago and it still is. I therefore said only to go for it if money is NOT an issue and thus doesn't care about saving money. I am not sure how you missed that part as you even quoted it.
  18. I remember my sister watching this show 25 years ago. And it was clear to me then, as it is now. That My Little Pony, a cartoon based on pink pony toys, is targeted at little girls and not teenage boys. This is just phase for some teenage boys who think its needed to differentiate from the rest by any means necessary. So they will be noticed and hopefully be perceived as (not)cool. When they succeed more and more will join. Hence being a Brony is apparently perceived as cool.
  19. RealityIV 1.62 is a really good timecycle. http://www.gta4-mods.com/misc/realityiv-162-timecycle-mod-f7929 Use it in combination with injectsmaa http://www.gta4-mods.com/misc/injectsmaa---antialiasing-in-gta-iv--eflc-f12893 for a really nice result and off course with almost no FPS loss.
