Criminals give up to easliy

Featured Replies

Hello everyone.

I have a suggestion to the modding team, One thing I have noticed is that criminals give up way to easily when it comes to car chases, Im not sure if it was purposly programmed, but majority of the time I will find my self in a pursuit, and before the care can even take some damage, the criminals will get out and surrender. Its a ilttle boring at times because the pursuits are the best thing about this. If there was any way possible to keep the criminal in the car until the car is wrecked, or they are dragged out, it would be great.

I'd have to respectfully disagree with you on the above point.  I think the pursuits, while cool and fun, are not the best part of LCPDFR.  There's so much more if you use the other mods like Braveheart and Police Helper.

Anyhow, to your point; yes, they do sometimes quit when they could keep the chase going.  I notice this on maybe 40%-50% of the chases I'm involved in.  Not sure  why, you could try going into the policing.ini and set resist arrest to TRUE.  That may help.

That will just make them go aggro when you try to arrest them.

But yeah, they sometimes give up quickly, but I find they do that most, when they crash into something and cant get their car out easily enough.

Yes I did notice that. I can understand when they get sandwiched by 6 patrol cars they will end up getting out, but most of time they will bump into something and then give up. I was wondering if it were something easliy coded and fixed, but if not, no worries.

The policing.ini's resist arrest I think only applies to suspects on foot when you press E. I dont think it has to do with their driving behaviour.

I've had pursuits where I the guy will wreck and I'll get out to arrest him and he'll jack my cruiser and I'll have to take another guy's car. lol. But they do sometimes give up too easily.

in real life, alot of times when the police have alot of numbers/ helicopters, and the suspect starts to think, they may end a pursuit on their own. it only happens about 15% pf the time for me though, so i dont know =P
