  1. Can there be a modifier key for the coffee cup?
  2. Note: If you had ELS 8 and LCPDFR 1.0b or lower, it was important that you use the version of AdvancedHook that came with ELS. The situation is exactly reversed with 1.0c (and will almost certainly remain so in the future) - LCPDFR 1.0c contains a newer AdvancedHook than the one in ELS 8. Replace the ELS 8 copy of AdvancedHook with the one that comes with 1.0c.
  3. While that was likely the case with this topic (it does indeed use the old AH), it is no longer the case with 1.0c that you should use the ELS AdvancedHook. 1.0b came with AH 0.29, which did *not* support ELS; ELS support was added with AH 0.33 (which was the version packaged in ELS 8's download), but LCPDFR 1.0c requires (and contains) AdvancedHook 0.34 (the version packaged with LCPDFR 1.0c). If you have LCPDFR 1.0c, or any version in the future, use the copy of AdvancedHook that comes with your copy of LCPDFR.
  4. Please start your own topic. Nothing to see here! This topic has been closed by LCPDFR.com staff. If you feel that this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.
  5. Please follow the instructions in the second part of ineseri's post.
  6. There is no LCPDFR 3.0. The most recent version is 1.0c. Can you post the LCPDFR.log?
  7. MODERATOR NOTICE Moved to proper section.
  8. MODERATOR NOTICE For the last time, this is NOT a support thread. This thread is for listing actual bugs in ELS 8. Before posting here, first post in GTA IV Support Requests in order to attempt to get help with your issue. Only after you do that, and have gathered all the information you can (AdvancedHook.log entries, Scripthook.log info [you *don't* need ScriptHookDotNet.log, though], etc.), post with the following: * What you are doing (be as specific as you possibly can, include enough detail that someone else has a chance of replicating the bug) * What should happen * What actually happens * Relevant log files, what mods you use, etc. If you have not already made a support thread in the appropriate section, do that *before* posting here. If you only have a general "it crashes too much", and can't say what sorts of things make it crash, do not post here - that is not a bug, bugs are specific. It may be an issue, but is not a bug.
  9. I think I read somewhere that this is what that mission was actually based on.
  10. It's not in the file approval queue.
  11. Please look in your game directory for a file called "AdvancedHook.log", and post the contents here. What game version do you have?

  14. This isn't a support thread. This is for bug reports. Post a support thread in the proper section; only after you've gotten as far as you possibly can there should you consider posting it here.
  15. https://code.google.com/p/gtaivtools/downloads/list
  16. The reason domains are registered so early is that a) it's cheap, so b) if we didn't register it, someone else easily could. By registering it as soon as it was revealed V would be in Los Santos, we keep that from being an issue.
  17. AKA the scientific approach. Highly recommended.
  18. Have you tried *running* it? If the VS redistributable won't let you install, it's because you already have a newer version *of that redistributable*.
  19. How are you trying to start the game? You shouldn't start from gta4Browser.exe; the proper way to start it is from LaunchGTAIV.exe or LaunchEFLC.exe. Which GTA version are you using? The log you want is AdvancedHook.log.
  20. Did you find an AdvancedHook.log?
  21. Define "not compatible". What, specifically, isn't working?
  22. Quite a number of people disagree that LCPDFR belongs on the keyboard. Gaming setups don't have to have an accessible keyboard at all - there are people who hook their computer to a TV, and only really have a controller handy to interact with the game. If you want to disable controller keybindings, just open LCPDFR.ini and change all the controller keybindings to "None". Alternatively, if you have a better idea of how you think keybinding should be done, set it that way in the INI.
  23. "I installed ELS 8 and now my game crashes every 5 minutes" is not a bug report. A bug report needs, at a minimum, to have enough information for the developer to begin to look for a bug. So "My car's lights are not being drawn in the right place, here's a picture of it, and here's the car in Zmodeler to show where dummies and extras are" is good. "My game crashes under XYZ circumstances [e.g. 'crashes when lots of ELS cars show up on screen at once', or 'crashes sometimes when I call for LCPDFR NOOSE backup/when the wanted level goes above 4'], and here's the AdvancedHook log, and here's the Scripthook.dll log [you don't necessarily need ScriptHookDotNet.log; it's irrelevant for ELS, because ELS doesn't use ScriptHookDotNet], and here are all the mods I have running" is a bug report. If you think "My game crashes after 5 minutes" is a bug, it isn't - it's nowhere near specific enough. Remember, in order to fix a bug, a developer needs to be able to isolate it to a specific thing that the script does that crashes the game, or a specific case where the script doesn't do something it needs to (if the script does everything right and GTA crashes for e.g. memory reasons, it's not a bug in ELS, and can't reasonably be fixed by the ELS devs). I say this because support requests need to be placed in their own thread. You should only post a suspected bug AFTER you've made a support request, gotten as much help as you could, and narrowed it down as much as you could.
  24. I assume LMS will ensure AdvancedHook remains compatible with ELS 8. However, ELS and LCPDFR are separate mods; they just share the dependency on AdvancedHook.
  25. The First Amendment is irrelevant here - it would apply if a US governmental agency were trying to limit speech, but last I checked, LCPDFR.com isn't a US governmental agency. Furthermore, even governmental officials are allowed to *ask* you not to say something; there can be issues when governmental officials are issuing veiled threats ("Don't say this or else"), but someone asking you not to curse can really never violate the First Amendment, especially when no one involved is acting on behalf of a US governmental agency. Excessive profanity is not allowed on this site, and will lead to consequences if you continue. Furthermore, insulting those who are trying to help you is not a good way to get support. You aren't entitled to have people help you out; they do so because they like helping people, and no one likes being called a "puppet" or cursed at.
