  1. In EFLC/TBoGT/common/data/cargrp.dat (edit it with Notepad), find the line that ends # POPCYCLE_GROUP_COPS. Add policeb, police3, and police4 to that line.
  2. What's the flash pattern? Is it like: H P H P B P B P where H = headlight flashes, B = blinker flashes, P = pause for a tiny bit? To put it another way: Headlight flashes twice, blinker flashes twice, time between headlight flash and blinker flash is the same as time between 2 headlight flashes?
  3. Okay. Stop it right now with debating who knows more about how scripting works. It's stupid and doesn't get anywhere. I am reasonably sure that Wait() won't pause the game in a tick. Looking at the GTA natives, it knows what threads are, and I am quite certain that SHDN runs scripts in threads. One nice thing about threading is that threads can pause without crashing the game. Per frame, it may hold the frame until it's done. Remember that SHDN scripts are a step removed from the game. SHDN manages them, and can do stuff to help keep them from messing with the game. For example, it can deal with many script crashes gracefully (whereas ASI scripts with errors just crash the game). Keeping waits from pausing the game seems like something it would do.
  4. So, I was playing today, and something I did made the radar turn on. However, once it was on, it wouldn't turn off (until I reloaded scripts for a different reason). It seems that the issue is just that Alt+R doesn't work.
  5. Also 10-4, people will probably be able to understand that.
  6. If you replace something in TOBGT/componentpeds.img, it will not affect TLAD, and vice versa. If you replace something in the regular componentpeds.img (i.e. not tobgt/ or tlad/), it will affect both TLAD and TOBGT. *HOWEVER*, if a model is in *both* TBOGT/componentpeds.img *and* the regular componentpeds.img, TOBGT will ignore the model in the regular componentpeds.img, and just use the one from tobgt/componentpeds.img (i.e. it essentially overwrites it). The same is true for TLAD, just with TLAD/componentpeds.img. This is true for all of the .img files (in particular, pedprops and vehicles). Summary: When TOBGT tries to load a model, it first looks at the appropriate image file in tobgt/. If the model isn't there, it looks at the main image file (in EFLC/pc/models/cdimages). If the model isn't there either, the game just fails to load it. At no point will TOBGT look in tlad/. The same is true for TLAD, just swap "TLAD" and "TOBGT".
  7. theninja35, you are interpreting it exactly wrong. He is saying "For patch 1.0.7.0, please wait for version 2.1." He has a partial fix for 1.0.7.0 issues, but it's still unstable for 1.0.7.0 and EFLC.
  8. Like Gerb, GPM and LCPDFR for police mods, gta4-mods for other mods. Occasionally, something won't be on gta4-mods, in which case I just use Google to find the link.
  9. Your computer doesn't care how big the screen is, it only cares about the resolution. If you're going to a TV, it may not change the resolution, in which case you'll see no difference.
  10. Prison guard is often a sworn law enforcement position, and the NJSP uniform is also their standard winter patrol uniform (in addition to being the dress uniform). I've also been hoping for a good tunic. Anyone with leads, please post them.
  11. The only way to get a template is to edit and map the model yourself. Modders haven't really done anything with Predator replacements. The only thing you can do is edit what it says at each of those places (basically: you know Custo's mod that gives default police cars the logo of the Alderney State Police? You can do that).
  12. I've only visited NY, not lived there, but I can tell you that LC doesn't do close to doing it justice. LC is a city that you can pretty much get to know in a few days; there aren't that many things you can do. In NYC, there is SO MUCH to do. I've visited a bunch, gone to different places each time, and still have done less than 1% of the things you can do.
  13. That might be because it is.

  15. The image doesn't work for me. Can you try putting it on imgur and posting the link?
  16. Delete dsound, replace with xliveless.
  17. The downside of ballistic doors seems to be that it makes the handling suck, because of the added weight.
  18. There is already a water cannon. It's called a fire truck
  19. AP math classes in middle school? Stat, or Calc? Or are you talking about a local school system thing (like honors classes), and not the College Board AP?
  20. The shoulder mike is literally a speaker/microphone attached to the same radio the officer carries on their waist. Not all officers use one. Especially in the NYPD, where shoulder mics are uncommon. Officers without one can use in-ear monitoring, or can just use the speaker built in to the actual radio. Also, GTA has no animations for a shoulder mike. The only radio animation is the "pick it up from the waist" one. BTW, why would a detective mode be impossible? I know the devs focus on patrol officer, so probably wouldn't do it, but it doesn't seem like it would be impossible.
  21. Yeah, probably not. If it's incredibly clear that it's not an emergency vehicle, I don't think there would likely be a problem. When you said LEDs, I was thinking bigger lights.
  22. Security does sometimes use green lights, but I also see yellow a lot (since yellow is universally known to mean "Watch out, I'm doing something weird [like being stopped on the side of the road]"). Green also can mean incident commander, so you often see it on fire chief cars. For California in particular, a steady red light facing forwards is the required lighting for an emergency vehicle, so they wouldn't let you do a solid forward-facing red light. People probably say that in part because, unless you are a real criminal, the worst contact you're likely to have with police is a traffic stop (which state troopers do a ton of).
