  1. It's flashing high beams. It's not part of SHDN, but someone could figure out the function for high beams. It shouldn't actually be that hard, but I don't know how to reverse functions.
  2. Because I like the excuse to look stuff up. You can learn a LOT by looking up random things and seeing where it takes you.
  3. Even if it's not NYC, Liberty City is certainly in the United States of America. NYC is pretty much a best case. Actual best case (slightly shorter than real distance): Boston, MA to Cardiff, Wales (not West Midlands, but the site I found didn't have West Midlands, and the distance to Cardiff is shorter). The distance is 2734 nautical miles. For comparison, the AH-6 Little Bird (the helicopter those NOoSE guys were in) has a speed of 152 knots (meaning it'd be over 18 hours), and a range of around 232 nmi. You'd need to refuel midair 11 times to reach England on a helicopter. EDIT: Also, you think POLICE CARS determine the city? The NYPD has changed lightbars and paint schemes several times. How you know it's most similar to NYC: * Climate: Consistent with a northern climate * Geography * Architecture
  4. Really? You can programmatically set the relationship group, so if true, that would let you force a chase.
  5. They don't like giving out release dates, because you can never really guarantee something will be as fast as you think it will.
  6. Why use a Benson? Why not a Flatbed or Biff?
  7. That ambulance model is locked. Of course, if you remove the box, you're left with a Biff, which is a default GTA IV model. The Biff also has a flatbed version. All it's missing is a lightbar; if you take an Edge from one of Sam's unlocked cars, you should be able to map ELS on it and put it on the truck.
  8. Not yet. There will likely be an API in the future, but that's in the future.
  9. Then don't model. If you want to make GTA cars, you need ZModeler. If you can't model, then you don't need ZModeler, but then you are reliant on others to get models. If you want a model made, the best way to make sure it's made is to make it yourself.
  10. That's what I was talking about. Sorry it's not what you wanted. What don't you like about it (so I have a better idea of what you ARE looking for)?

  12. I don't know if that's possible with GTA. I know you can do that with flight simulators, but GTA may not support it. It's actually best while doing non-game stuff, because you can have 2 maximized windows at once. For example, you can have a browser open on one and a word processor on the other.
  13. TLAD has a wrecker-type tow truck, and there's a flatbed on GTAinside.
  14. Yeah, it'll definitely work. Pretty much any graphics card with 2 slots lets you use them for a dual monitor setup.
  15. You almost certainly can.
  16. I've had one or two random pursuits. Tip: If you hit Alt+F12 and click "Force World Event", you'll frequently get a world event pursuit (though it's not random, since you forced it).
  17. The issue is that it doesn't run unbroken, with no sound over it. For example, the wail is frequently interrupted, and I often have trouble finding a full cycle. The main reason I watch is just to hear the tones without having to install. I'm not saying "don't do the other stuff", but at the end, playing JUST the tones would be nice. EDIT: For example, on your most recently released siren, I couldn't hear when the wail started repeating itself. I'm sure you know that there is often a "seam" there, where the game loops the sound. That's one of the main things I listen for. Also, in that video, it seemed that there were two sirens. One moderately-pitched one (seen at the start), and one high, plateauing one (at the end, on the fire truck). Why were there two?
  18. All your preview videos involve playing around with the siren and sound on top (like radio). I get you want to present it, but, at the end of each video, can you just run each tone for a couple loops? Say, do a constant wail for 2 cycles, THEN a few yelps, THEN priority, THEN airhorn. As it is, it's very hard to actually find out what the siren sounds like.
  19. Check ScriptHook.log.
  20. Ingame pictures?
  21. What doesn't work? Does he not see the lights? Do you not see the lights? Does it crash? As a test: Get SNT, and spawn a Turismo. Go to "Car Options", "Add/Remove Car Components", and change the extras (hit 5 to toggle a component, 4 or 6 to change which component to toggle). See what happens.

If people with unhealthy fantasies are attracted to LCPDFR, the mod has no influence. Who cares if police impersonators use the mod? To be more general: Who cares who uses the mod? What they do outside it doesn't have anything to do with the mod (unless it influences them, which seems unlikely).
  23. To clarify: IVDashCam is running, display is up, speedometer works, but radar doesn't.
