  1. Just finished watching the E3 press conference release of the PS4, and I'm happy to say PS4 has won a spot in my heart, I loved all the jabs they took at Microsoft when announcing that you WILL be able to buy used games, you will not need to be connected to the internet once a day to play even Single player. They did announce that to play Multiplayer, you will need to become a PS Plus subscriber, that costs about $5/month but think of what you get being a PS Plus member, able to upload saves to the cloud, free games, and more. I think thats more than what you get from the X1.
  2. how do you force duty with SNT? to force duty you need to ALT + P to start the LCPDFR script then CTRL + P to force duty, then use SNT to change your skin and spawn your car, but yes with the Y you will need to change your key bindings.
  3. viruses can cause administrators to loose admin priv, I have just encountered that on a friends laptop, thats a posibility. They where unable to download anything, it would not let them save anywhere. I don't know if this could be the same thing. *EDIT* can you save the file to any other folder?
  4. are you an admin on the computer, is your program opened as an administrator?
  5. If your using normal GTA IV, consider the More Vehicles addon to open up a few more police slots. Traffic Flow is pretty stable in MP, I've used it before, just remember GTA is a bad port and becomes unstable on it's own when you add mods.
  6. with xlive, it disables GFWL. If your having problems with a save game, look for a 100% save and that might fix your problems.
  7. I would think so, sounds like it would be possible
  8. This is in the wrong section, but how are you enabling/disabling the keys. In the .ini or in game?
  9. you should not have to re-install LCPD:FR the scripts folder is not a part of the base game, nor are the asi loder and stuff so they should not be checked or removed, the only things that might change are the actual .img files. We can just chalk it up to GTA being GTA I guess lol.
  10. lol, idk what else to suggest, try running the repair, it might change all your cars and skins back to the original, your scripts will be fine as it does not check the scripts folder.
  11. thats it, well at least we can rule out a script being the cause. What asi loader are you using, xlive or dsound?
  12. was there anything in your scripthookdotnet.log file?
  13. any recent changes, new mod, new car?
  14. are there any errors that show on screen or in your scripthookdotnet.log
  15. if it's a key issue, then you will need to talk to R* support, no one here can help you with keys.
  16. it has worked previously but now crashes, did you save while on duty, or in a skin other than the main char's, or save with a modded vehicle in the parking spot?
  17. Thats why you should have backed up before adding mods. Basically you will have to delete local content, then download it all again, but this time navigate to Program Files (X86) > Steam > SteamApps > Common > Grand Theft Auto IV, then you will see a folder called GTAIV, you can right click and then click add to GTAIV.rar to compress it, or copy and paste it and rename the folder to something like GTAIV_backup. This way if you want to go fresh again, you can just use the backup folder. You can also have multiple of these files going at once, I have one for my main GTA, and another for testing my scripts.
  18. update your ScriptHookDotNet from hazzardx.org the script that is crashing probably requires version 1.7.1.7
  19. Hello members, just a quick update. I've already updated the first post, but I'll also post it here so people get to see it. Version 0.1.2.2 is now in the downloads section. This is a Public BETA as I'm unable to test multiplayer functionality, so I'm leaving it up to the users of the mod to inform me if there are any issues. Please let me know of any problems. It sucks that I am unable to test this myself, so I am depending on the community to help me. Thanks again for everyone's help.
  20. lol sorry copy and paste error forgot the ;, and thanks for the help. I find it hard to decode the scripthook documentation lol.
  21. Hello, I'm hoping someone from the scripting community can help me with this. I'm trying to add a blip, but I'm having some problems, and I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. destination = Blip.AddBlip(GTA.Vector3 target; I'm getting the following error I don't understand it because you're supposed to be able to use GTA.Vector3.
  22. for handling.dat just use notepad to open.
  23. I'm surprised the site didn't automatically make that into a video placeholder.
  24. policing.policing is not a LCPD:FR script, it's part of Bravehearts policing tools, and it might be because your only using V 1.7.1.4 of Scripthook, but unfamiliar with his script I'm not sure if that's the case, I suggest updating your scripthook from www.haxardx.com first and see if that fixes the problem, if not it might be because your folders are set to read-only.
