  1. here is mine this was made for specific mods for an old clan, but the steps are the same for all mods, plus this includes a tutorial for how to modify your horns.ivaud file which is why I've kept it online. *EDIT* I don't remember it being so blury, I only record videos in 1080p. Hopefully you can follow along with what I say, but if not I can make a new one.
  2. I'm thinking about it, not sure how the animations would work for that, and how much you would want to do. It could be just a script where you drive a garbage truck around, stopping at markers for a set time to "pick up" the garbage and then after a while go dump it off.
  3. To add cars and uniforms there are plenty of YouTube tutorials out there (I know cos mine is one of them). Mods are simple, they are mostly .asi or .net.dll anything with a .asi then you put it and it's .ini file in the MAIN GTA IV folder, that is the one with LaunchGTAIV.exe .net.dll will go in the Scripts Folder that should be created when you install LCPD:FR. Installing LCPD:FR is easy and simple as it does it all for you, you just need to follow the on screen prompts. For changing cars and peds you will need either SparkIV or OpenIV.
  4. Yes, that is my next planned script after I finish up with ADMS.
  5. Dang, I didn't know that a script like this was already out, oh well, I still plan on building mine.
  6. If you can not download from the site then please post in Website Support/Suggestions Sam checks that area a lot more than down here in support.
  7. And getting started is easy and well documented, just download and install the mod, and follow all the instructions. It truly is not that hard. And yes Illegal versions are not supported, there are some that have made them work, but most cant, plus you will not be able to play online, or with a clan with an illegal version.
  8. Windows 8 might make it harder, as it was GTA IV was not made for Win 7. xlive.dll does not allow you to play MP. You might want to try using command lines to kick GTA in the ass, if I remember rightly it does not allow any vid memory above a certain amount unless you specify it in a command line.
  9. plus you only have a 1.8 Ghz processor, this is below the recommended.
  10. I find the trainer more useful, to spawn as a female cop ensure that you have the mod installed, there is a good one from Sam here on LCPD:FR. You can always force a event by pressing CTRL + F11 (or ALT + F11 it's been a while) Going in to the police station actually causes more instablility, I prefer to ALT + P then trainer to set my skin then CTRL + P to force myself on duty and I don't have much problem. Another tip is don't take every call out. If your having problems with the trainers key open up the .ini file and CTRL + F to open the find box, then look for KeyBindingsDisabled and set it to 1. This will stop the trainer spawning a ton of crap from normal buttons.
  11. system specs, what mods are you using, what graphic settings are you at?
  12. also, not only run as admin, ensure that the GTA IV folders are NOT set to read only.
  13. That is the Google Earth at night I do believe, http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Google+Maps+at+Night+GTA+IV
  14. or you could actually use the search function and find that it's been answered hundreds of times before.
  15. Welcome to the site, and I hope you enjoy the great dedication that all the scripters, car modelers, and skinners put in to their work.
  16. *EDIT* nvm I just realized that is what you included in your OP. I suggest checking for updates for all your drivers/graphics cards. *EDIT* Available Physical Memory 702 MB this looks low to me, immidiatly starting GTA IV it takes up over 1GB of space, close down all other programs before starting GTA IV.
  17. what graphics card, or is it shared ram? After a search of your system it has 3 options for gfx cards
  18. What are your actual computers specs?
  19. having a 64 bit computer wont change anything, GTA IV is a X86 game, which is 32bit. The 2.4Ghz processor is a little slow, 4GB is a little small while using ELS and High Poly Cars. (I have 6GB RAM and I still get texture loss, but it usually takes 30 mins to an hour) I use to run GTA IV on 2 X 1GB vid cards, but one died, I did notice a loss of quality, but it's still able to run.
  20. scripts add more work load to the game, specially ELS V6, V5 is a little more stable and you don't loose many features. Also ELS cars are high poly and require more memory to load and spawn. So normal GTA IV might be fine, but amped up IV is not good, what are your specs? PS. Fatal Video mem error already points to your video cards memory not being suffice.
  21. validating steam files will remove all/most mods, so I hope that you made a backup.
  22. any error messages at all?
  23. It's exactly the same as regular installations, the GTA IV folder is just in Program Files (X86) > Steam > Steam Aps > common > GTA IV, even OpenIV and SparkIV will work from the Steam Browser, just readll the readme's that come with everything nowdays.
  24. Uninstall all recent mods, and then add them back in one at a time and test the game, then you will find the culprit and just not install it.
