  1. personally icEnhancer is overrated, and silly that you have to have 1.0.4.0 version of GTA (which fyi is not compatible with LCPD:FR), find a different ENB series.
  2. or another simple way to backup your game, right click the gta iv folder then just "add to archive" (WinRAR) if you use another compression program it might be something different, but to the same effect, it will also take up less space.
  3. ELS V5 is a lot more stable than ELS V6, it's what I use, and there is really no difference. Look in your GTA IV directory there should be an error log somewhere, maybe someone will be able to post it for you (I'm not at my GTA IV computer so I can't look right now) and then you should get a error message. Alternatively you can install mods one at a time and test the game in between to find out which one specifically is giving you the problem and then simply stop using it, or check your instillation of it. Game crashes can come from unstable mods, or mods not being installed properly.
  4. not looking like one, maybe if you message them and ask them I don't know.
  5. You are going to need to set your own co-ordinates in the .ini file. Abraxas man, amazing mod as always, I can't wait to get my computer back online and running again so I can test this stuff out!!!
  6. gona need to give better spec's for ur GPU, what settings do u run GTA IV on right now?
  7. If your computer is connected to the internet, then Windows Update will automatically find the drivers, you should not need to download them, and you need to be more specific about what program you are trying to use, or we can't help you.
  8. Well to hook up a controller, you plug the USB cord in to the back of the computer, all that stuff is PnP nowdays. As for putting cars in to the game, you will need to use SparkIV or OpenIV, see their respective documents for further information.
  9. For a consistent database I have been working on building my own, This will take names given from the user from sources such as LCPD:FR, and vDH's PoliceHelper, and then stores them in a database that will keep the values from one user to the next. Right now it is a web browser program which requires an overlay or second computer to view, but I have been in touch with a modder to try and get it made in to a mod to simulate a CAD system. There is also a dispatch section which I am working on right now as well. If you want to check it out, you can register @ http://torontovirtual.clanteam.com/computer/register.php and then I will activate it sometime today and you will then have access to the database.
  10. what paramedic mod are you talking about? Also LCPD:FR is designed to run on a clean copy of GTA, other mods are not guaranteed to work with it, but mostly as long as your not running both at once (On duty on both) then you should be ok.
  11. then those are some really white sidewalks
  12. Has anyone noticed the snow in the screenie above the sub pic????
  13. I got a Brita Water Filter, and $100 CAD, A few T-Shirts and NFS Most Wanted 2012, as well as some new shoes.
  14. ensure that you have a asi loader either dsound.dll OR xliveless, and an up to date version of scripthook (LCPD:FR comes with both dsound and scripthook and should always be used, and don't replace them), and your trainer.ini and .asi need to be put in to the ROOT GTA IV folder, this is the one that contains the scripts, data, pc, common folders. If these are in place check your trainer.ini to make sure that it is not disabled from the start. I recommend to turn the Keybindings off so it wont spawn random stuff when your trying to play.
  15. for graphics Google Lord Neophyte, he has some nice HD graphic mods.
  16. I use keyboard for everything as it's easier to work with LCPD:FR's keys (until the actually support the Xbox controller), but the controller for flying the helicopters.
  17. I'm having this problem as well, mostly after re-installing GTA IV it happens to me, I fixed it the first time by clearing my Registry Keys: For Windows 7 press Windows Key + R then type regedit then hit enter. When it opens up press Ctrl + F then type in sparkiv or just spark then delete anything that comes up (make sure it is just Spark IV though), then keep hitting F3 to find the next instance and deleting until it says end of document or something along those lines, then remove the Spark IV folder fully, then unzip the original file again, this worked for me when I had the problem, and I hope that it works for you as well. For other windows use Run from the Start menu and then follow the rest of the instructions above,
  18. check one of your peds files, and it shows who the cops hate or respect (I don't have GTA on this comp right now so I can not tell you for sure the exact file name sorry), maybe this has been edited to add more people in to the hate list.
  19. change your peds.ide line to move_m@swat changing it from move@cop (if it's a cop ped)
  20. in vehicles.ide (IIRC) add +livery at the end of the line.
  21. My guess is your first problem is using IE5, IE has lots of troubles downloading files, my guess is that it's not correctly downloading the full file, try using a download manager, or try a different browser.
  22. still will happen, it's just how GTA is :)
  23. Awesome man, your building the mods everyone has been wanting for ages.
  24. Ok Abraxas, and good job on the award, you deserved it man!!
