Cant Revive
You will very rarely be able to revive someone. There is a % chance "roll" which I normally don't get. But once in a blue moon if someone does under certain conditions (no assault rifle or shotgun, not in the face, not rolled over with a car) they will limp away instead of dying in the street.

does this happen to anyone else?
Yes I have that problem. It could be GTA IV using too much of your graphics memory over time. It's not very good with it, and high polygon count cars (the more polygons a model has, often the more complex and detailed it can be) make it a lot worse. I have a pretty strong card (2nd strongest single GPU gaming graphics card in the world by overall performance rating) and it still gives me trouble after long play sessions or sometimes after short ones. As suggested earlier, you can try changing your modded cars to the FBI and NOOSE slots so the normal police saturate the game instead of the modded cruisers. Other than that, it could be that your card just can't handle the overall work load you're giving it, and you're do for an upgrade. What are your stats?

CAN YOU HELP ME !!!
Or, you can use the search function of this forum and read sticky posts before you become the 50th person to post this topic.

Derp. Glad you fixed it, good luck going forward.

ELS FIX
Glad you enjoy them. You don't loose the use of them, but you can't have them on at the same time your overhead blue/red lights are on. You have to choose one or the other in ELS V5. You can only have both in V6 which is fairly unstable.

What do you want to see more of in LCPDFR?
I like the idea itself, but I don't think it fits this mod. You're a patrolman in the game, and this scenario just isn't realistic. I'd prefer to keep missions like this in the actual GTA IV game.

ELS FIX
Problem is that disables a lot of light patterns and the ability to use spotlights while you overheads are on, etc. Or you can just use modded non-els cars and make the only els one yours. Also this doesn't belong in the support section since it's not an LCPD:FR issue. Let's get this moved to one of the generic GTA IV sections.

I doubt it. The whole computer doesn't overheat at once, individual parts do. Most high end graphics cards have a threshold of about 114 degrees Celcius, must CPUs around 70C, and most motherboards about 70C also. It will varry of course, depending on what model the card/cpu/mobo is and who made it, but your problem sounds like a heat issue and the computer rebooting itself to prevent toasting one of your components. I've had this issue more than once. First encounter was with a motherboard fan, then two seperate occasions with graphics cards. One was a card that ran naturally hot, the other was a broken ball bearing in the fan. All modern graphics cards have fans, so yours isn't special. They need them. They get very, very hot.

Sounds like overheating. I'd check your temps on GPU, CPU and Motherboard after a good play sessions (in excess of 30-40 mins, but before you crash completely so you can take temps). Then you can compare them to "cold boot" temps, and idle temps; Meaning the first time you turn on the PC for the day, and when the computer runs idle on the desktop for a few hours. Getting all three will give us a frame of reference as to whether your cooling solution is adequate or not.

Best support thread I've seen on here in a long time. Good job, sir.

Thank you for giving my country well wishes, it is good to know we still have some of our allies. I personally am sick and tired of middle eastern foreign policy. Muslim extremists threatened England recently to, which in my opinion only solidifies our countries existing friendship. Pakistan threatened us with military action if we did any more raids (like the type we caught Osama Bin Laden with) in the future. I respect the fact that they want to feel confident in their security, but they were harboring a terrorist/mass murderer, and more than likely have more. I know a lot of people refer to the US as world police, and I sort of agree, but I'm afraid we're just about running out of compliance tools. I'm sure many people from the European countries will agree that you just can't reach some of these people with diplomacy. We had even been more or less paying Pakistan to be friendly to us, and now the recent discovery of Osama Bin Laden and his cronies in a large compound next to a military base in a large city... Very angering. One thing I'm happy to see over there is some of the political uprisings, and the banning of some dictators in that area. People are standing up for themselves for a change, and that may open the way for better talks and relations with them. Lets hope for the best, guys.

Windows 8 - Opinions?
Like it or not, this is where the industry is heading. They'll probably revert back to an older style desktop in Windows 9 with some tablet elements after all the complaints come rolling in, but people who don't want to buy the next copy of Windows aren't doing themselves any favors by waiting other than saving $130 on the new modular upgrade.

Grafic Bug
No support for .95. Taxi bug is a known issue. Car mods are the cause of texture problems. Use the search bar.

Quick question
Sounds like a glitch to me. Try a gunpoint arrest. If that still doesn't work, restart your game. If that doesn't work, downgrade to .91 until we figure a possible solution out.

help me
I'd at least give it a shot first, since openly trusting a stranger to work on your computer remotely isn't exactly safe.

What are your full system specs? 2GB of RAM could be a potential problem.

Need Help.PLZ HELP!!!
It was a general statement to everyone, I would have quoted you if I really wanted to target something you said earlier. No harm done here. You can do what you want, but the way this forum section is supposed to work is that it's "game over" as soon as we learn of any foul play with having a legal copy or not. It's an automatic topic closer by a moderator. I'm not a mod, so I can't, otherwise I would. I'm counting on one of the upper-echelon community members with mod privileges to close it so we don't have to go around in circles with this. As for you Sideways, I'm not keeping anything from you. I don't know what the problem is, and the problem may in fact be the now apparent fact that you are using a cracked version of the game which can cause stability issues. It doesn't for everyone, but it may for you. According to forum guidelines, that is where the thread is supposed to end. We have said it a million times because you (among many others) don't seem to get it. No support means no support. It doesn't mean keep asking enough and people will become less frustrated. It doesn't work that way. I can't validate the reason why you cracked your game. I don't know if it's illegally downloaded or if you just lost your disc. I'm sorry if the second one happened to you, but cracking the game is not the proper course of action according to the terms of service for both Grand Theft Auto IV and LCPD:FR. It wouldn't be fair of us to trust you over someone else and give you special treatment. We either have to allow support for everybody with a cracked copy, or nobody. In this case; We support nobody with a cracked copy, because it can be used for software piracy, and the cracks are homemade and often contain malware themselves. Again, I'm going to call for a mod to close this thread. This is starting to get irritating.

Running GTA4 on my computer.
-Both of those processors are awful, especially the first "new" one listed. You're investing money into not just outdated, but severely outdated technology. I wouldn't even invest into an AM3 motherboard now either, because there will be new ones when AMD's new Bulldozer CPU lineup comes out, a completely different architecture than the Phenom II, which is AMD's current flagship CPU. -Note that your CPU appears to be a Socket 939 processor, different than a socket AM2, which is also different than a socket AM2+/AM3 which is what the newer AMD chips use. Not something you can bring into the modern age, as your CPU model is not made anymore. -Both the graphics card and CPU will act as bottlenecks to each other. People can buy a $700 video card, but if they have a crappy CPU, they wont be able to take advantage of it. And vice versa. That graphics card is also old (although it was powerful for its time, around 2006-2007). I'd upgrade both CPU & GPU at once. For the machine you run, not worth it. I'd look into a completely new build. -Your RAM was fine. -Not a good sign if you can't run AERO, and you're worrying about the 1 - 3% performance advantage processor affinity will give you. To put it bluntly; It's a Compaq. Not just an HP retail PC, but a Compaq. Their entry level computer for budget conscious consumers (be it for financial reasons, or for giving grandma her first computer to do "the internets" with). They are not built with performance or upgrades in mind. It's disposable. Really, I'd start saving. Graphics cards worth spending money on won't show their full potential on your system, and even getting a minor FPS boost immediately by blowing a couple of hundred on a good graphics card will only stave off the inevitable.

Didn't we already establish earlier that there will be no support for cracked versions of the game?

Arrest shooting
Unfortunately no. That's why a lot of my .91 videos would end abruptly. It would be right before the AI police started shooting at my detained suspect.

Need Help.PLZ HELP!!!
Edit your replies instead of posting new ones when appropriate, please. You'll have to pick dsound or xliveless for a .dll file, and you can't mix PPM with LCPD:FR. You have to "commit". Your system specs would also be helpful. I can see from that you have 2gb of RAM, which isn't a lot. You may run into stability issues down the road because of this alone, and we haven't seen what kind of CPU or graphics card you're using yet. Also please be clear as to whether this is a cracked copy of the game, or a retail version from a store or STEAM.
