The point of doing this is to ensure cops aren't an ass. Being that they have a government job, they have no right to be an ass and being an ass could ruin people's lives given their position.

Criminal cases are rarely filed against police brutality, and if they are and by a statistical impossibility the cop is found guilty, they get off with a much lighter sentence than an ordinary person would in the same situation. Best case scenario is usually a lawsuit, followed by the department firing the cop due to the money he costed them. But unfortunately, most cases come down to the cop feeling threatened, and they are usually reinstated. However, despite the fact it was a non-venomous black rat snake, the officer felt "threatened" and shot twice at it, missing it also. What they did manage to hit was a 5 year old child fishing with his grandpa, killing him instantly. The primary issue with police brutality is that it is under-reported. Many times it is the attitude of "the guy was a criminal that got caught and is trying to get revenge, no big deal." It is extremely rare that police departments take reports of misconduct seriously unless it becomes widespread on the internet, mainly because an admittance of bad eggs damages the departments reputation. My biggest issue though is the preferential treatment in court to officers charged over citizens charged. Police almost always get a lighter punishment. I saw it after I already posted.

Did you even read the description? The guy was in diabetic shock. He had no control over his actions for a medical reason, and the cops beat him when he was making no threatening moves (trying to get up isn't a threatening move). While the dashcam isn't clear enough, it should be obvious that something is up besides someone resisting arrest when someone isn't even making an attempt to move when held at gunpoint and being given orders.

I briefly covered the fact that an MP5 isn't a good gun for a distance longer than 50 yards, only that most people on this site do not understand ballistics or anything like that so I didn't discuss it too much. The only agency I specifically mentioned was the LAPD. As far as whether their information is secret or not, you can ask National Geographic or any other group that has produced a documentary about the North Hollywood Shootout because they all say that the LAPD now has patrol officers with rifles because of it. Also, scroll down on this link from the LAPD's official website. They list the guns they carry, including rifles, shotguns and sidearms.

If you think it should be removed, you should report it. No laws are being violated, since we live in a somewhat free country where we are free to discuss and even criticize police policies, including weapons. And there is no potential danger to officer safety in discussing this. I know many cops that openly talk about this stuff, and it's definitely not top secret information that police carry guns and have access to something better than a handgun.

@Ineseri He meant real life US departments. @Sheriff98 It truly depends on the department and the demographics of that area. Generally, major cities all have at least some officers patrolling with AR-15s, but it isn't needed for every cop. I believe from past reading that the LAPD has about 600 patrol officers that carry an AR-15, while everyone else gets their personal sidearm and a Remington 870 in the car. Other major cities, like New York, only issue long guns (any lethal weapon besides a handgun) to ESU and units that do raids, while patrol officers only have sidearms. A general rule of thumb though is that an agency that is in a suburban or a rural area will have a majority of officers with AR-15s, or at least highly encourage officers to buy their own and get qualified to carry it. In my area, all officers are required to have an AR-15 in the car. Also, as far as I know, all Highway Patrol agencies carry AR-15s. The primary issue with MP5s is that they are outdated. They are a design from the 60's, and little can be done to them to make them more functional in today's environment. While I still personally believe they are a great gun (HK is hard to beat, though expensive), MP5s are pretty much useless past 50 yards, and a rifle is a lot more effective. Another issue is that MP5s can't be customized easily. Most mounting systems for anything other than the surefire forend light are aftermarket, and add additional costs. Most AR-15s come standard with a picatinny rail system (used to mount attachments like Scopes, flashlights and grips). Another issue is that it has the option for fully automatic fire, which most PD's are steering away from due to the risk of collateral damage. Even most US SWAT Teams are steering away from them in favor of short barreled AR-15s. While there are still a rare few patrol officers that carry MP5s, it was primarily a weapon used before the North Hollywood Shootout (this is what prompted the LAPD to give AR-15s to some patrol officers). One of the PDs in my area had MP5s and Remington 870's as standard issue before then, but realized that neither were effective for general patrol use and switched to the Benelli M4 semi-auto shotgun loaded with Bean Bag rounds and AR-15s. The only place where I would look for a patrol officer with one is a rural PD that uses the LE exemptions to buy "fun guns" for the officer to burn through ammo. I know of one retired chief in a rural Missouri town that bought numerous different fully automatic guns for the PD, but went out and shot through several hundred thousand rounds with them a month.

I'm calling having a booking area on the top floor of a building unrealistic because a cop wouldn't want to waste his time dragging an uncooperative suspect to the top floor. People are always open to respond to this if they so choose to.

But another issue is that most PD's do not have offices on the same floor as holding cells. Most PD's have a garage or a doorway on the bottom floor that can be used to quickly drop off suspects, minimizing the effort in getting a suspect to another floor. With a suggestion like this, it would mean a cop would bring a suspect to the top of a skyscraper that acts as a headquarters to book him. Pretty unrealistic in my opinion.

The issue with this is gameplay. I'm willing to bet a majority of users on this site do not want to sit in an office and fill out paperwork for an imaginary suspect. If people really are keen on doing that, it is easily possible to use a laptop, tablet, smart phone, or even pen and paper to fill out a fake report.

Yeah, they crash. A lot. That's why it's called Code Zero, because that is what they say whenever they crash. The only reason why it looks somewhat stable is because they edit a lot out, but if you pay attention during a video with more than 3 people, there's always at least one trying to get into the lobby and a crash every ten minutes. Unfortunately, R* failed to make a stable PC conversion, and adding mods, especially High Poly cop cars that are constantly repaired with ELS takes its toll on computers.

The issue with that is that there is no jail cell.

This isn't possible due to no working interiors. The only thing that could happen is dropping off the suspect at the station.

There was an option to do this back in .90. However, this was glitchy and removed due to no animation and the tazer becoming part of the mod.
