yup. i like the disc version better for sure.. steam games have so many folders and its just confusing. i brought up the internet issue because it just hit me last week. my internet was down for like six hours..and that is a long time to do nothing. so having at least some games on disc would be recommended for everybody just in case i mean who knows..one day Steam could go out of business in a horrible pyramid scheme and then we lose all of our games lol.

hello :) just wait a week or so and it will go back on sale. it was just $30 a few weeks ago. they always run sales so keep your eyes open. now my copy of GTA V is on disc. i like disc better because if your internet goes down..no steam games for you :(

oh god you best be glad that everything still works!! this is one thing noone has been able to fix and sometimes even a complete re install doesnt help. i just tried for days and days to help someone with this very problem, only his game doesnt work..searching forum after forum..thread after thread..and nothing worked. if everything is running great and the only problem you have is that error message..i would leave it be

this is what i was talking about right here. at some point your cars were fine right? your stock cars were fine when you played the game the first time? because i am at a loss..and that's only happened like two other times and this is almost the third i've searched tons of stories and tons of threads and noone has this problem to this degree..so i'd like to fix it..but i dont know where to go from here since this has been going on for several months, have you considered a re install to try and take this back to factory?

okay there are a couple of things that have made this crash for me in the past. the first is a corrupted save file. go into your GTA IV main directory and delete the savegame.fr file and see if that does anything. also something else that caused me a crash was installing a new car, then saving. then i would uninstall that car and then try to re load my game..for some reason the game thinks that car is still there, but its not..so it crashes..its kinda like you alter the save file by deleting the car..i know it sounds weird..but, everytime i delete that savegame.fr it seems to help me reset my game. so try that and see what happens. lemme know if it doesnt.

hello and welcome to the forum. the first thing i will suggest is disable your virus protection when downloading from this site. there have been thousands upon thousands who have had their files blocked from downloading/installing while their virus protection is active. there are no viruses on this site so you are safe to disable while you download files here. try that..see if it works..if not lemme know and we'll try other things.

okay what i would suggest is look in the folders where you downloaded your LCPDFR and ELS and the Trainer. some of those have the same files, but some are very very old. you need to make sure that you are not overwriting a newer file, which i think may have happened..maybe :P for example only, LCPDFR might have a file called Car1 and its dated December 2016. ELS might have a file called Car, but it might be dated April 2016. If you installed ELS second and you clicked YES when it asked if you wanted to overwrite, you overwrote the new file from December with an ELS file dated April. i hope that makes sense. just check all that out and get back to me if you are still having issues.

i will look that up and try to find it..in the meantime, you can get your stock cars back anytime by deleting your mod folder. it will restore everything back to normal. also, if you have a police, polic2, etc car you dont want..delete that and the stock car should also reappear.

Yeah the lspd pack from captain 14 is unusable by alot of us. Use the uninstall that came with it and lemme know.

Which enhancers have you used so far? In meantime I'll download some and check out their ini files and see if any of em can be changed. At least the lights are working right on the normal police cruisers...Means we haven't messed anything up lol 😛
