I think my laptop specs are good enough, they can run cod advanced warfare at solid 91fps which is a new game so hopefully it'll run gta v, if it doens't oh well. i'll stick with GTA 4 :P

Do you have police and police2 custom installed? If you do not sure where the problem is but you can try installing custom cars for police,police2,noose,fbi,nstockade,pstockade and polpatriot. If you don't usually either police or police2 come as backup. With ELS, it doesnt work with default cars. If the car doesnt have the lights on there wont be any ontop but if they are they will be disappear and reappear from the car.

Yes I know you're probably thinking its windows 8, that's the problem but whenever I leave a game, I can't click the windows button or go up into the corner and use the pop up menu, it doesn't appear.... Unless I restart, all my drivers are up to date. Is there something that I can do to fix it?

Sounds fun but not sure how much coding is involved or how hard it is to implement that into LCPDFR.

This thread is a year old but.. Go to your GTA IV folder, go to the LCPDFR folder, click on the diagnosis tool, choose advanced mode, check installation and go to your GTA IV location when it pops up, if it doesn't pop up it is installed correctly there will be a half bar, click it and download and install whatever it tells you to install then refresh the tool till everything is green, if that still doesn't work uninstall it then download the manual install of LCPDFR :D

Do you know if a normal extension cord would be able to protect it? Also how much are surge protectors? I have these around my house, are these the proper ones?

Just tried it at my friend's house, no noise.. do you think that if I plug it in the outlet it will burn out the charger or burn or break my computer?

I tried a different plug also and I ended up getting the same result..

There is no noise coming from the actual computer, I can hear it inside of the wall plug...

I'm not a techno geek but in my opinion, 2.4ghz shouldn't be too bad for a processor. My new alienware 18 has a Intel i7 @ 2.5GHZ and I can run GTA 4 with almost all maxed with a ENB at 30-60fps mostly mid 40s which runs smooth for me as for Call of Duty ghosts, bo2(60FPS) and Advanced warfare 91 fps with max settings on all 3 . If that processor is the only one that fits your computer and you can't upgrade I wouldn't see it being too bad to go with it, as I said before i'm not a techno geek and I know next to nothing about this stuff but just gonna let you know my experiences with it... Also i'd go with 8gb or 16gb of ram espically if you don't plan on upgrading for a while and want to play newer games that come out, my laptop has 16gb

Is it the driver update for the Metal Gear better performance? If it is I downloaded it yesterday and can jump in game quick and check it out for you

After a while of gaming I can hear the buzzing of electricity loudly going to my charger, is that normal? I have to keep my alienware plugged in to get the best performance with my dual nvidias....

Yeah it does, I did turn on SLI ( Which enables them both to run and I see about 4-5fps difference in GTA IV since it isn't supported, 91fps in cod ghosts and advanced warfare.
