  1. If I remember well timecycmodifiers and the other timecyc files aren't using the same commands as the timecyc.dat If I remember well timecyc.dat has more settings. You could try checking which number is for what in timecycmodifiers and try to put those numbers into the appropriate spot in timecyc.dat
  2. It's not the car mods, I tried it without them, and with them. What car mods cause is crash other people out, and if you have the SMPA60 or SMPA50 error after playing in MP, then some1 near you had car mods and it got damaged, and that's why you crashed. Another case is, if you have car mods on for example the police and the ai is using that car, for example they are chasing some1 on the server, then you the user might crash too. As I've stated before, this crash happens BEFORE you even enter the server. You double click on a server, you get a black screen, and instead of the loading screen, your game crashes without any error messages. If you open up the players list in GFWL, you can clearly see, you didn't join the server, as there are no new names added to the players list (which if some1 doesn't know, shows the last players you've been playing with). I'm afraid you had a different type of crash.
  3. Okay so about a month ago, probably GFWL started to lag the hell out my game. For example when I start up the game back then it was like the menu instanly appeared where you can select "PLAY" and start the game. However since I have this problem I have to wait +20 seconds with a black screen, where nothing responds. It looks like this, you start up GTA IV or EFLC, and as soon as you see the credits, not the steam overlay, not GFWL, not anything works (not even alt tabbing). Then after what feels like a year it comes back to life. You load up your game like you usually do, everything works fine, scripts loaded, everything works perfectly in single player. You fancy joining a MP game, and as soon as you double click on a server your game crashes. Here is the important part, the game crashes BEFORE you get on the server, so it's nothing about the servers, it's GTA IV (or presumably gfwl) crashing the game. You can try this a dozens of times until you finally manage to join a server (sometimes you can even join the server, that's been crashing you constantly). I know another friend of mine who has the very same GFWL freeze bug at start up. Another friend of mine has a bug where he has to log in like 6 times in order for GFWL to work. So first of all, can I just say, whoever's idea was to use GFWL in GTA IV, needs to be found and punched in the face real hard. Okay I'm calm now, so anyone else having this very same problem? Sorry for making this post this long, but it's not really possible to make it smaller. It's not the server or the people on it, that crashes my game, it's not the scripts I use, it's not the data mods I use, it's not car mods, and it's not the weapon mods, nor sound mods. I'm all but certain GFWL had an update or sth and it messed up the game. If you have any similar problems or you just want to say what a crappy software gfwl is please do so by commenting.
  4. Well unfortunately federal signal doesn't sell the Vision SL anymore as far as I can work out, but back then when it did, you could change which pods should be what type of light, and what color should it be. It's the same story on other sites too, for example on Whelen you can choose to have LED takedowns or halogen takedowns on the Whelen Liberty. Whatever the departments want, they'll make it. A good example is the Whelen Liberty on the CHP cars. When the car is in park, the whole lightbar at the front goes steady burn, and doesn't flash.
  5. That isn't true. The vector is a different bar. Also an older one from FS. The Vision comes in 3 types, the "Vision", the "Vision SL" and the "Vision SLR". Even the Vision SL can be ordered with all halogens, simply NYPD uses leds mostly on it. However their takedown lights (the white ones in the middle) are still halogen.
  6. Sgt.Kanyo posted a gallery image in GTA IV Galleries
  7. LAPD was only testing the Impala and the 2006 charger. They have a few units of them since 2010 or so. As for the 2007 Tahoe, I've only seen one of it, so I'm pretty sure that's just a testing vehicle as well. And they use it for the same purpose as the 2001 tahoes. You can see the back is full monitors, computers and stuff.
  8. If you want to change the covering glass' color, look for the emerglightse.png texture, and on the bottom left you can see red and blue translucent colors. There also seem to be a light that looks a tiny bit like the Whelen Edge and it has some yellow parts. Color them the same as the other red and blue textures, and you're done.
  9. Since all departments love the CVPI, I can't imagine them just ditching them. I'm pretty sure they'll keep using them as far as they can (I heard there's a mile limit for PDs in the US). Pretty much the same story with CHP, they started using the first Police Interceptor Utilities in July and now you can see them (although quite rarely) mixed with the crown vics.
  10. I've seen some pictures of the new charger with LAPD paintjobs and an FS Valor on top. The guy said he even spoke to the officer, and the officer told him that LAPD ordered about a hundred chargers and the Police Interceptor as well. That charger with the FS Valor is only a showcase vehicle and it'll not be used. They'll probably use their Arjents on them. Here's the full story and some pics of the Valor charger: '' target='_blank'>> As far as I know I've only seen one new lapd charger on pictures in the use of 2nd precinct. Here you can find a bit more: http://www.policemag.com/channel/vehicles/news/2013/06/14/lapd-purchases-nearly-200-dodge-ford-patrol-vehicles.aspx
  11. Here's a 2009-2010 unlocked charger for you guys: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> Also I think I'll be updating the rear lights to an even better one.
  12. I wouldn't suggest converting inaccurate, insanely highpolygon, buggy models from 3d sketchup. That program is not for making accurate vehicles. On this site you can find a lot of models, so I'd suggest going here: http://gamemodels.ru/ I'm sure you'll find something useful here to convert.
  13. At 1:57 if you look closely on 1080p, that might be the new CHP Police Interceptor Utility. Really hard to see. And if you think it's weird to send a lot of cops to a police chase, well it's not, you have to take into consideration, that the suspect can crash into another civilian, that civilian will defiantely need help, then there's the fact that some parts of the highway they must shut, that need another unit, then they might need to close intersections so that people don't run into the red light runners. After all that we haven't talked about how dangerous that suspect can be. They don't know who's inside, what he has or what his intentions are. Having a lot of cops shouting to drop your gun, or get out of the car, is much more effective then just 1 single cop trying to stop you. The police departments in south CA are really good at this, but they should be, since as far as I know, they have a lot of car chases.
  14. Yeah, but this isn't normal memory leak. It doesn't really act like this. I did try to use a few commandlines, but they didn't work. And it's also very weird how it gets laggy near players.
  15. Which model did you use? That rear light looks very nicely detailed.
  16. I recently came across a bug that whenever I get near players in gta multiplayer, my fps drops to 30 and below (mostly below, 30 is maximum). My ENB says I have around 25 to 30 fps, but that'd mean a smooth non-laggy gameplay (movies are at 25-27 fps or even lower), so I definately have less then that. I can't tell if it's a stuterring problem or just slowdowns, but I find it weird how it usually only happens near players. When I go far from a player (so I can't see him directly on my gps), then my fps gets back to around 40-50 according to ENB. Anyone else ever came across such problems? I'm not sure it might be a memory leak.
  17. Make sure you have only 1 extra dummy of each extra part (extra1, extra2... etc.), and make sure all the lightbar lights (the ones that you want to use as flashing lights) are all children of the extra dummies. Make sure their name is set up correctly for example extra_1 dummy's light meshes should be called extra_1_L0 (and extra_1_L1 for the lod1 model) If you want 2 different meshes under 1 extra, do not make two extra_1_L0, but simply attach them together into 1 mesh.
  18. Okay I'm not sure yet, but I think I found a flaw in lcpdfr upload section. Every time I uploaded the new .rar with the same name, it still kept using the old file. I uploaded the new version, and before it got accepted here, I downloaded it, and it gave me the old file. Now that I reuploaded the .rar with a different name, I could download the latest version of the mod. So once again, try to download it again, it should be fixed now. I'll try to report this problem to the mods, maybe they can help me out with it.
  19. @Hilth0 The Whelen Raider or the Whelen Traffic Advisor in the back? The Raiders are from 3d warehouse on google sketchup (unfortunately insanely high poly), while the rear traffic advisor is made by me, I used some parts from the 3d warehouse. It's the very same stuff I used on the CHP slicktop crown vic.
  20. Alright thanks for that video. I think I accidentally used a modded vehicles.wtd and thought the "black" texture was included. It's fixed now, so please redownload the new version.
