Chevy Tahoe or Ford Explorer
With the upcoming v0.3 of the LSPDFR mod, I'll certainly like to have a Chevy Tahoe added to my backup units. Hopefully one will pop up sooner rather than later. I'm a Crown Vic fanboy but I'd love to see those vehicles patrolling the streets.

LSPDFR 0.3 - Backup Customization
I'll be happy if they simply slow down around me. I've been run over numerous times while arresting a suspect by some backup unit that was late to the party, Everything sounds super awesome! Are we going to see the new features in action (in videos) before the release or that's not something you do? It's the first time I'm following active development of one of your mods, missed the boat with LCPDFR.

Any Good Crown Vics out yet?
Yes, dbock's CVPI uses the default GTA lightbars, the other two use one custom lightbar each and you can't replace it with the original ones.

I'm pretty sure that's dbock's 2008 CVPI with a custom livery. http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/8287-added-emergency-vehicles-by-dbock-ft-the-cvpi/ Look for mods that use F5544's DEV CVPI, that's a very nice 2008 Crown Vic. And there's another one in the works, with a Mx7000 lightbar. That screenshot is a bit old and it's missing the deck lights. Many other improvements have been added since then.

Are Single Player GTA Games a Dying Breed?
Does anyone has the actual numbers, how many people play Online vs people who stick to SP? GTA will never go MP only, long campaigns with colorful characters have been something the GTA series is very proud of, they will never throw that away. While I got bored of GTA Online "fairly quickly", logged about 85 hours before giving I modded my game, I'm glad they are still working on making Online better because they will eventually add something interesting enough for me not to keep ignoring half of the game completely. Also I'm almost certain (unless I find cash just laying on the ground) that I wouldn't buy a paid SP dlc or any paid dlc at full price, so personally I'm better off with free Online DLCs that I don't play but which make Online better with every release keeping the online community alive for my return. On the other hand, mods will keep SP alive and R* doesn't have to spend a single dime on it. :)

This is the first time I tried this plugin (I've didn't upgrade to RPH 0.24) but I can confirm that it doesn't work with the latest RPH (v0.25). It crashed LSPDFR at launch.

Do you pop your knuckles alot?
I haven't done it once in my entire life and never heard them crack by accident. On the other hand my knees and shoulders are like bubble wrap every time I warm up at the gym.

No trainer that works with LSPDFR?
Do you mean LSPDFR doesn't launch or the game doesn't work at all? ScripthookV has released a new version so you can use a trainer with the newest version of the game.

Adding "anti-aliasing" to Vehicle Textures
I was right the first time actually, I only forgot which image I had to resize, the image in psd format (so the layers are still separated and the text and numbers are resized properly) and not the png image which only makes a mess. I've made a comparison between different settings and textures. I apologize for the dark image (didn't feel like driving back home and save the game twice to get daylight) and the slightly different perspectives, but the differences are still noticeable. I am 100% sure I didn't mix up the images, I separated them after each step. 1) 2048x2048 High textures settings 2) 2048x2048 Normal textures settings 3) 1600x1600 Normal textures settings (this is the 2048px texture resized to 1600px in psd format then saved as png) 4) 1600x1600 Normal textures settings (this is the 2048px png image resized to 1600px)

Yes, I was really surprised myself and I also think the textures are scaled down on Normal settings. I'll try to take some comparison photos but yesterday's patch messed up my game so I can't use trainers to take screenshots under identical conditions. Can you tell me what the MipMaps do exactly? I never used them, I always leave it to "automatic" when adding new textures. EDIT: So I just tried doing that on a new texture for a new model I'm working on and it didn't work. Rescaling the texture made it worse as expected. I don't have time right now to do it again for the Buffalo S (the model where I first noticed it), but I'll give it another try later and post the results.

That's true, I was thinking about the ones using the standard template. Also, while I'm new to doing textures for GTA, I've noticed that the higher the resolution, the worst it looks on Normal texture settings. I have a weak graphics card and I have to play with Normal textures and at 1440x900, a 2048x2048 texture will look worse than the same one rescaled to 1600x1600. I can only assume going bigger will only make it worse. Sure, that's not a concern for the texture creator, especially if he can run the game at the highest settings and can take advantage of the 4k textures. I'm just saying going big does not work for everyone.

Have you checked the textures in-game, with high/very high texture settings? Textures do look better in-game compared to the OpenIV model viewer. But there's only so much you can do really, since you have to resize the emblem so much to fit that small door frame, the decals will loose quality and they'll look pretty bad upclose. The vanilla textures look much better because the game applies hd decals over the base car texture. You can check out other community released textures and you'll see that all of them have the same problem.

Sheriff Path?
The "sheriff" files you need to replace are inside vehicles.rpf located in "Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday3ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5".

Traffic Policer (Breathalyzer, Traffic Offences, Speed Detection & more)
LCPDFR just crashed on me and I think it's related to the ambient events. The plugin spawned 3-4 ambient events all around me (in a 30m radius) and immediately after I got three "LCPDFR has crashed" messages. Here is the log file. Btw, the problem I was having with the FollowMe feature has been fixed in the latest version. :) RagePluginHook.log

Reinforcements kill me EVERY time...EVERY time...
I partly understand your frustration, I got destroyed the first few times I got that call while trying the act like a police officer. Then I just said screw it, and start shooting them from inside the car. Sure a Mac-10 would come in handy but a headshot is a headshot even from the police issued sidearm. Also if you like to play with a controller, make sure you switch to KB+M so you can aim easier at moving vehicles. Or you can skip these callouts altogether, just press X when you see the black dots on the map, it will delete this callout and issue a new one. :)

2015 Dodge Charger RT Police
Check out this comment on how to prevent GTAV from updating the game after installing mods. For the mods folder, did you put the update.rpf inside a folder called "update" (Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf)? You have to keep the exact same file location structure for it to work.

There is this other game (EmergencyNYC) that's also in development, at a slow but steady pace. Here's the Facebook page , their website is down at the moment. I'm pretty sure it won't be any of the things in the topic title but it's something to keep an eye on as it shows potential.

Just tried it with no luck... Can this video be unembedable? Is there such when uploading a youtube video? @ineseri, That might be the case, the author disabled embedding so people watch it on youtube. I'll just leave the link then. Thanks for the help guys!

I tried that also but it didn't work. If I press enter it just underlines and colors the link in blue. Does it matter if I'm editing a mod description instead of making a new post?

I've tried the usual [vi.deo][/vi.deo], [you.tube][/you.tube] (without the dots) and looked for a button to embed videos. Simply pasting the link in the post doesn't work either. But plenty of people successfully embed videos every day so there must be a trick to it. Any help? :)

If you are going with the Whelen Edge lightbar (I hope so), please resize it before release as I've noticed that both Crown Vics released so far using your lightbar had the same scale issue. But don't mind me, I have complete confidence it will turn out great!
