GTA IV is a shit port to the PC. With or without mods. you'd be lucky to play the game for more than an hour or two without a crash. Sometimes games (again, with or without mods) lasts for 5 minutes, half an hour, an hour or even crash upon start, it's completely unpredictable. Anywho, your game crashing with the times you stated is the norm and nothing can really be done.

Well, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with your files... Have you tried using dsound.dll. You also seem to be missing the files, "SlimDX_x64.dll". I'd suggest that you install LCPDFR manually again and overwrite current LCPDFR files. If both the dsound.dll, adding SlimDX_x64.dll or overwriting LCPDFR files doesn't work, I'd suggest you re-installing the game (hopefully you have a backup somewhere).

Any ELS vehicle will work with ELS v8. All you need to do is get rid of the old ELS v7 config files in the ELS folder and use the ELS v8 config files. Vehicles made prior to ELS v8 won't all work with the coronas I believe. Sidenote - Is that.... the NFS theme?!

Do you have any other mods besides LCPDFR? EDIT: Which version of AdvancedHook are you using?

You could try making the ELS lights brighter yourself by going into Common/data/visualsettings.dat. In the visualsettings.dat file, scroll down until you see, "car.extralight.emissive.on 6" and change the 6 (you're may be a different number) to a higher value, OR, try download the Radiance Mod by BxBugg's or there is a recent file that does the same. You could even install an ELS/ENB...

I believe the limit is 8 and I also believe there is no way, without using extras, you can get more. I may be wrong, however.

This may help you, Go into the ELS v8 configuration file and go down until you see, "[ PRML ] Type = rota ForcePatForLstg = on PatId_Lstg2 = 3 PatId_Lstg3 = 3 Lstg2ActiveExtras = 2and3 ExpressModeRandPat = off ForcePatForSrnTones = off PatId_Yelp = 0 PatId_Alt1 = 0 PatId_Alt2 = 0" Change where it says "rota" to, "halo". Yes, that's referring to the file in which you choose options for the lighting example, "[ PRML ] Type = rota ForcePatForLstg = on PatId_Lstg2 = 3 PatId_Lstg3 = 3 Lstg2ActiveExtras = 2and3 ExpressModeRandPat = off ForcePatForSrnTones = off PatId_Yelp = 0 PatId_Alt1 = 0 PatId_Alt2 = 0" It means that ELS won't recognize the file properly so you have to use the ELS v8 files. ELS v7 vehicles will still work, you'll just have to enter the lighting infomation in again to an ELS v8 configuration file, however, corona lights won't work with many ELS v7 vehicles.

There is actually and edited file of Traffic Flow allowing up to 25 vehicles and you may be able to add more. I use this mod and it's perfectly good and has a large variety of vehicles. It MAY be iCEnhancer, I couldn't tell you for sure, but see if you are close to using all you graphic memory, try lowering it slightly to allow more room. Texture loss is also often caused by high poly vehicles, so it may be you vehicles rather then a mod. Try putting back the original vehicle.ide and see what happens - don't forget to backup your modded vehicle.ide though. Unlike the some of the others, I believe that TrafficFlow (the edited files more so) is the best. If you are noticing less vehicles in your game either: Turn up vehicle density in your graphics options, or install the mod, "More Liberty v3".

I don't believe that is the case. Any ELS vehicle (regardless of version of ELS) should be compatible with v8. Do you have any other mods? It may be ELS v8 is conflicting with another mod. I'd suggest trying your game with just one ELS v8 vehicle and ELS v8 and seeing what happens. Also, are you playing in multiplayer or singleplayer?

Really like it except the runners. Runners always make the car look more like a demonstration vehicle as to an actual operational one. My opinion though, still, I think you should release it :)

You're torrenting an OS....? Well, that's gotta be the safest option. What OS was originally on your PC? If you restore to factory settings I believe there is a process within the PC's restore function to re-install it. Might be wrong.

Hey, I've started using ELS v8 and I've been using car with rotating lightbars (BxBugg's new Caprice and Lt.Cain's new pack) except I have a problem. When I'm outside of the car and the lights are on, the rotors look great, spinning as if they're real and very smoothly, except, when I jump back into the car, straight away the lights start acting up and become jerky, looking very unrealistic. Is there some way to eliminate the jerkiness, or is it just a bug that can't not be fixed? My lights act like these when I'm out of the car, but as soon as I'm in, they're all jerky and more of a stop, start, stop ect. I've looked around and can't really find anyone else with my issue nor a fix. Another quick question is, [ PRML ] Type = drot Where it says 'Type' I've noticed that both Type = drot and Type = rmix are used, what's the difference? I can't open the ELS User Guide for some reason so I'm not sure if it says in there or what! EDIT: Never mind, I downloaded SumatraPDF and I'm now able to view the files. Any help would be much appreciated.

Well, I don't even know what my power supply wattage is... Going Intel would mean more money, which wouldn't be a problem, but more so all the installation (considering I've never done a mobo) and the difference between the I5 or an overclocked 8320 wouldn't be that big if any, right? Either way, thanks for the help. I think I've made up my mind :)

Yeah, I found out that if I were to change to my CPU to Intel I'd have to get different mobo. I wonder, would my current CPU be able to use the 760 for all it's got, or would you advise an upgrade for that too?

Hey, So I'm upgrading from an GeForce GTX 570 to a GeForce GTX 760 (ASUS GTX 760 Direct CU II 2GB) and I'm wondering, how do I know it'll be compatible with my motherboard? My specs: Motherboard - ASUS M5A97 CPU - AMD FX-8120 MEMORY - 16 GBytes DDR3 GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570. I have a custom built PC, yet I wasn't the one to choose the parts nor put them together. What am I looking for in the specs of the GPU and Mobo to know they work together? The other question I have is, If my current CPU is eight-core (AMD FX-8120) am I able to replace it with say the I7 quad-core, or will it have to be another eight-core. If it has to be replaces with another eight-core, does anyone know some powerful processors? Thanks!

I'm seriously layed back with my stuff, and you have to go pretty damn far to offend me in any way, however, children in such a game as any GTA is bad. People complain about swearwords being used in games, imagine shooting children. I myself would not be happy with causing the normal chaos I do in GTA and killing 100s of children in the process. On a more professional view, children in GTA is a lawsuit waiting to happen.
