mtloya reacted to KhaosGaming in Disabling world eventsI updated my LSPDFR to its latest version, 0.4.7. I noticed two new worlds event were added for vanilla LSPDFR. While I am patrolling, my radar will flash white and a small red blip will appear. The blip is either a bank truck or a sports car driving recklessly. This very thing occurs every few minutes or so and it often interferes with my current objective. Once either of these vehicles pass the front of my patrol car, the game engages me in an unofficial pursuit, whether or not I chose to be involved. Once the blip clears, the game puts me in a searching mode at which the cone of vision appears on my radar even if I do not want to be involved in the situation. While this cone is present, I am unable to start a traffic stop. These events will also occur when I am outside my vehicle in the middle of an investigation. If I have any backup on scene with me, they will immediately engage the vehicle and leave me by myself which quickly becomes irritating.
I have tried several different things. I've gone into LSPDFR's configuration settings and put a zero or false in the value's place. This has not disable those two events and I do not see many other configurations inside the file. I looked a little online and did not find much help. I found a new configuration to enter (Ambient.MaximumScenarios = 0) and it did not stop these events from occurring. Is there any possible way I can disable these unrealistic events so I can patrol the streets without interference?

mtloya reacted to Officer 81 in Why was Ultimate Backup Removed?@Sam You need to give Bejoljo's mods a place in the essential section as soon as he's back. He deserves it !
A majority of the current "essential plugins" haven't been updated for a loooong time and are kinda obsolete compared to what we currently have.
That would be a first step into rewarding him for his work.

mtloya reacted to DaErich in Why was Ultimate Backup Removed?I kind of concur with @chadc78 . First off I can only imagine the pain of having unreasonable impatient complaints by people, who rather think of complaining first then remarking the effort going into developing such sophisticated plugins, it must be devastating...: Seeing people not recognizing all of your hours of free time going into a project, which could have been assessed semi-professional work at that point.
STPD and UB almost never crashed on my end and updates where frequent with new lore-friendly features coming every once in a while.
With that said I don't want to hurt anybodies feelings by stating that this approach on that matter - by deleting all of your files relentlessly - might be a little selfish. A lot of my RP depended and still depends on those plugins and callouts, which eminently enriched my LSPDFR experience to a point, where it is a fully functional police simulator with a level of interactivity never reached by other sims. To completely erase all of your modding history on that page is a huge loss to many of us. Instead, the way of @Albo1125 's communication would have been a more favorable choice. By posting an open and honest statement concerning easily accessible to everyone on this page, keeping your plugins in a sort of legacy state and maybe revealing your source code to the public for everyone to review and refine, to take over the time you need for recreation. That would have proposed a soft resignation with nobody feeling overwhelmed by such sudden events. Right now everyone is left irritated and even sorry for not having made comprehensive backups maybe due to limited space or hardware corruption etc.
In conclusion I really understand the fact that they're a lot of people behaving like self-righteous customers, who don't fully understand the concept, the philosophy of a modding community in all of its depth. But there are also people out there appreciating every work submitted, offering support in every aspect. And there are many. In contrast this way of assertion didn't leave anyone contented and solely sheds light on the more regrettable part of our community.

mtloya reacted to chadc78 in Why was Ultimate Backup Removed?"You of all people have to understand what the feeling is when you fabricate something you want it to live up to your standards, almost perfect, which is a flaw because it might not live up to your own or everyone else's." I absolutely do, but I also know that everyone isn't going to like what I upload and sometimes the negative feedback is encouraging and helpful. I don't expect everybody to agree with me that's not logical everybody has an opinion and mine isn't more important than anyone else's. When I look at my upload and see that 5000 people have viewed it but only 1500 have downloaded I don't get discouraged because 3500 people passed on it, I start thinking what can I do to change those 3500 minds that might attract them back to download it and as with all my uploads I try to encourage feedback and reviews good or bad. I follow his work closely and very grateful for his contribution to the game and have gave reviews and my opinion and suggestions but those are only my opinions I my be the only person who agrees with them but that doesn't mean anything and shouldn't discourage anybody . If you have the expectation of everything that you do is going to please everybody then your in for a disappointment, reminds me of US politics where if your opinion isn't the same as mine then your wrong type ideology. But all that aside I think the numbers on his files speak for themselves as far as downloads goes and for every negative comment that he might have received there was 25 positive Ill take those odds anytime. My comments on this thread is in no way trying to be negative or discouraging I think he is one of the best creators on here and use everything he does his work is essential to this game. Don't punish the majority for the actions of the few

mtloya reacted to FKDZ in Why was Ultimate Backup Removed?Oh I didn't see this, so he is taking a break due to some negative stuff. I understand, biggest reason modders leave or take a break is due to the constant nagging from users to ''do this/do that''.
Translated from his profile page it comes down to feeling underappreciated and undervalued. Also the fact that brand new users can leave reviews is bothering him, he wishes people only with a good reputation to be able to review. Seen many modders collapse due to this, hopefully he has the energy to still pick things back up, just sad that people can be so demanding and mean when someone is obviously putting his heart and soul into something...for free.
You could get 10 comments about how people love your mod and 1 comment thats negative and you'll forget all about the other positive ones, it sucks.

Edit: He is now hosting his mods on his own website; https://bejoijo256.wixsite.com/bejoijo

mtloya reacted to MrLucky8 in LSPDFR 0.4 - AmbienceEven if it does a lot of what other mods already do, I think it will do it much better. Also, every plugin or mod tends to drop performance and is poorly integrated. This means a massively better overall experience. Some of the improvements like AI will be amazing though.

mtloya got a reaction from komo in How do i change vehicle's for police smart radioYou should be able to edit the Transport Regions.xml & Transport World Districts.xml files in the GTAV\Plugins\LSPDFR\Arrest Manager directory. Just add the vehicle name using the correct/same syntax as what is already there (the brackets and proper keywords). You can literally just copy one line of code that has a vehicle setting already there, then paste it directly below, change the vehicle name with your new vehicle, and save it. Since PoliceRadio integrates itself with the Arrest Manager files, editing ^^ these should do the trick. I just edited mine, but I've yet to try it out in game. The logic is all there, though, haha.
The coroner vehicle can be assigned in the Arrest Manager.ini file, as well as tow trucks.

mtloya got a reaction from Steele1925 in [Req] Vanilla TowtrucksHi all,
I was wondering if anyone had edited any vanilla trucks into towtrucks, or edited either of the existing towtrucks and outfitted them with additional lighting. I know there is both a sadler and a utilitruck one, but I'm looking for one that isn't just the rear of the towtruck model pasted into the bed of a pickup.
I attempted to add some led lighting to the large towtruck, but the game for whatever reason didn't like the model I produced and would crash every time I tried to spawn it, even though all my coding and part names within zmodeler were correct... My troubleshooting efforts with that failed, sadly.
I would personally prefer non-els, but either is fine. The reason behind me favoring vanilla models is because I'd rather have all vanilla models or all real-life models, not a mixture of both.
Also, if anyone has anything related in development, I'd be happy to help test it. 😉
Please let me know if there is anything out there...
Thanks,
Mark

0xFFFF0000
Put most common colors.
Editing the colors in the carcols under setting <color value="0xFFFF0000"/>
Have red, blue, green, yellow, and white and a few others in there. HOPE THIS HELPS
