  1. Ok I've just looked it up and jet fuel cannot melt steel but this article backs up the claim that the jet fuel played a role http://i.reddit.com/r/OutOfTheLoop/comments/2u1tvc/where_did_the_jet_fuel_cant_melt_steel_beams/
  2. I can tell you that the 9/11 attacks were NOT an inside job, prior to 9/11 I was a member of NYPD's joint terrorism task force we went around the city taking down terrorist who had explosives in their possession, we knew an attack was imminent on 9/11 but lacked enough intel to stop it so NO,the attacks were not an inside job the were as stated acts of terror carried out by members of al quada period. As for the way the buildings imploded that was part of the design structure which failed due to the excessive heat from the burning jet fuel taking down the upper floors.

  8. It's a heavy burden knowing toy just took another person's life, we are not robots we feel compassion and we are not happy to use lethal force but we do what has to be done even though we can pay a high emotional price
  9. Guys let me explain to you what takes place during a job slow down in new york city as I myself was a part of and took place in one. First NYPD had s.o.p's in place that state you must follow all vehicle and traffic laws while on patrol,in order to stop those making moving violations this is counter productive and has been over looked to keep numbers up, hence the drop in summons numbers for moving violations. Parking tickets before you just write the ticket during a slow down you ask the driver to move his/her car. As for arrests during an every day patrol you see large groups of teens you stop and investigate what's going on and use the stop and frisk procedure to check them out, during a slow down you watch the individuals to make sure they are not breaking the law without approaching. So you are still doing your job just the mechanics of it have changed and you are sticking to the letter of the patrol guide. No crime is going overlooked just as I said the mechanics of it are changing slightly therefore arrests are down.So do not think for a minute that the job is not getting done it still is just your not going into the Grey areas of the patrol guide that let you run the red lights it order to catch the violator of a moving violation ,giving people more of a chance to move there cars and not hasseling every group of kids to"find"something to effect an arrest the city is still being protected, changing those mechanisms of how you do your job will just bring numbers down not make them non existent
  10. It has happened in ny that's when they stayed wearing the "color" of the day pain clothes officers wear a wrist band or something in the color of the day announced during role calls it just seems odd to me that the lieutenant didn't recognize his own subordinate, must have been a chaotic scene before the shots rang out prayers to both officers

  14. R.I.P. my brother you paid the ultimate price for protecting and serving the people
  15. R.I.P. my brothers in blue may your ultimate sacrifice not be in vain. ....hopefully now the people will help the police out if any other threats ate made against other officers.
  16. I think that is pretty cool, they should do that in Ferguson although I think it still wouldn't make a difference
  17. There is one thing that is being overlooked here, when you have a man of his size pumped up on adrenalin it makes it extremely difficult to take him down, when the choke hold was applied in this case it was done in an effort to gain control of a large man resisting arrest. I myself have used the choke hold in order to gain control of a large perp.Do I think this guy was abused, no the officers used that force that is necessary to effect an arrest which in New York is totally legal and although the choke hold was banned by NYPD it was not a violation of the use of force.
