  1. Will we be able to change what the marquee board says in future versions? === Put the ELS file in .../ELS/, then set the relevant car's config file to the one you just threw in.
  2. Red interior light is the Night Light feature. Bright white light is takedowns. Alt-[ and ], respectively. See documentation for further information (specifically ELS DEFAULT CONTROLS.pdf.)
  3. I've been using this Tahoe for about a month and a half now and my main gripe is that the TA is mapped backwards. Other than that, very well done!
  4. Saves are kept in a separate folder.
  5. Try [, ], alt-[, alt-]
  6. Cr1tiKal is really the only favourite that comes to mind. I don't use YouTube much anymore. Not since Google fucked comments up. Edit, mis-read the original post (that's what I get for posting immediately after work...) This post can be deleted.
  7. Are you running an ENB? If so, reinstall it. I've had that problem a few times mixing an ENB's visualsettings.dat and a timecyc mod.
  8. Might skim through the support thread and see if you can't find anything regarding that. As for now, though, it's completely unsupported - Abraxas lost his job and can't bugfix it anymore. Still, better than on my end - when I go to get the car thief out the car, the game crashes on me.
  9. Go to Steam > GTA4 > Delete Local Content. Let it delete. Go to C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/ and delete /Grand Theft Auto IV/ You will need to re-download the game.
  10. The one I'm using works OK. -noprecache -windowed -novsync -novblank -frameLimit 0 -width 1280 -height 720 Worked on a NVidia GT520, still works on my new GTX750Ti.
  11. I'd start with a timecycle modification first; ENBs affect performance moreso than a timecyc mod. Friendly reminder: BACKUPS!
  12. Set the lighting stage activation type to JUMP or EURO in your vehicle's config, and set the secondary lights to turn off at light stage 3, and your WRNL pattern to 2 for all the lgihting stages. (See owner's manual.) WRNL Pattern 2 is both off (until switched, see owner's manual) Jump/Euro sets it to where it goes to LSTG3 and back when pressing J. Euro is Jump, but without the switch clicks.
  13. Make your backups of the files you intend to replace/overwrite.Fire up SparkIV or OpenIV. I recommend the latter for vehicle installations.Navigate to pc (if present; you start out in /pc/ in OpenIV) /models/cdimages/If on OpenIV, turn on Edit Mode.Open vehicles.imgCopy your vehicle files over. You'll want them to have the same name as another vehicle, as it's much more difficult to manually ADD another car to the vehicle list, have it added to the vehicle rotation, the like. Well, not so much difficult, more tedious. You're done with OpenIV/SparkIV.Copy relevant ELS files to .../ELSConfigure ELS settings to your liking.Check all files for handling lines, colour lines, VehOff lines, etc. and paste those lines into their relevant files (in .../common/data) - You're done.Or you could use a vehicle mod installer if that tickles your fancy, but to talk of such is a taboo last I checked.
  14. Tap the horn button (as if you're using the default siren controls) and they should move over. They stop with me too every now and then, that's how I fix it.
  15. I wonder how that managed to get changed... I'd love to throw my own headlines on that building.
  16. The ones with the Touchmaster-style wail, and Powercall ones. I'm using a 295-SL100, combines both into one.
  17. I'M SUCH A CLICHÉ Also, there's a reason I drive this vehicle pretty much exclusively. Insurance: $37 (times the 7 times I waterlogged the engine yesterday)
  18. Yes, default_config(.ini) - that's your base VCF.
  19. Might want to find that in your backups and throw it in. It goes in your root GTA4 folder. I'd give you mine but I don't believe I'm legally allowed to.
  20. Night time is best time, specifically after 19:00. Lights just look so pretty. I usually synch my game clock to my PC clock though, so usually when I patrol it's 23:00-02:00.
  21. Ran through my fonts for MULTNOMAH COUNTY, here are the ones that got close: Arimo (gap on C is angled, missing bad kerning) http://puu.sh/8FJsb.jpg Gautami (missing bad kerning) http://puu.sh/8FJk4.jpg MS Sans Serif (missing bad kerning) http://puu.sh/8FJar.jpg Miriam (missing bad kerning) http://puu.sh/8FJ7p.jpg MS PGothic (Typeface is slightly condensed, gap in C is too narrow) http://puu.sh/8FJ3i.jpg News Gothic (typeface is not bold, M comes to too abrupt a point, missing bad kerning) http://puu.sh/8FIXe.jpg Shruti (missing bad kerning) http://puu.sh/8FIPg.jpg As for SHERIFF, it's not Impact but it does look very similar. Here are the ones I have that got close: DotumChe (curves on S are too rounded) http://puu.sh/8FJDw.jpg Gunplay (Stencilled, R hook isn't prominent) http://puu.sh/8FK70.jpg Impact (R missing hook, S line ends late) http://puu.sh/8FJGg.jpg Rainbow 6 Text/Square 721 (R missing hook, S too squared) http://puu.sh/8FJUi.jpg (Please note: This search was limited to the fonts I have installed on my computer.)
  22. Spawned here today. Short while later, overlooking LS Swapped to my Buffalo, did some work on a race I've been working on recently. This was the aftermath of me scouting out locations for new races after forgetting to switch back: Edit, not snapmatic:
