Based on what I have seen the past several months, I don't believe that full multiplayer compatibility is high on their list of objectives.

That could be the problem. Is it an SMPA60 error? If so, remove your car mods.

You need 1.0.7.0. patch your game.

Did you run the game as an administrator? did you run the 0.91 installer as an administrator? There should be no reason the game stops working, if: You have 1.0.7.0 You run the game and LCPDFR Installer as an admin you have this and this Have a fully updated GFWL OR you are using xlive your GTA IV folder is NOT set to read only You used the automatic installer and verified that all the files are present Your copy of GTA IV is a legal copy, not a pirate copy. In never hurts to run through this. Oh and if you are using compatibility mode, try turning it off.

Choose it in the installer. Choose either dsound or xliveless, NOT both.

@Alonso Please read the stickies. NO SUPPORT for cracked version of GTA IV, most mods will NOT work on a cracked version anyways. Please, do the economy a favor and actually BUY the game instead of STEALING it!.

Yeah, I can't download things either (unless I have a direct link to the file). Navigating through the downloads section creates a database error message for me.

Adding it as a non-steam game won't let you re-validate the game files. Make sure you have this installed as well.

Alright I can stand a little bit of hate posts but come on. Your post is completely uncalled for and has no essence of truth to it. Don't bash a member just because they would prefer to go to a different mod. Where do you get off saying that he can not spell? He spells better than most Americans that I know! You do realize that he is not even from a native English speaking country, correct? And also not once has he posted about "blue screening" after double clicking an .exe. I look at every post that is made on this forum. He knows how to mod the game. I may not like the fact that he attempted to call First Response a stolen concept (really, he was just curious more than anything!) but bashing any type of member like that is complete bull. I never expected this kind of thing from you. For that matter, I didn't expect this kind of thing from anyone here, really. This entire thread has become nothing but mud slinging. The Community Guidelines exist for a reason.

Yeah I have had the problem too, I think the developers are making changes to the downloads section right now. I'm not sure when it will be working again. Edit: downloaded your mod btw. Good work, it works perfectly.

If you have the game through Steam just re-validate your files. If you don't have it on steam.... You'll need to reinstall. I don't know how important that file is to GTA but it should be there.

Accidental double post I see, a mod will remove the extra. .NET failed to initialize properly from the looks of it. You won't be able to "run" dsound.dll, just move it to a different folder. Seeing how .NET ran before, I am pretty sure you have the correct program installed. Just to make sure, install this."]this. Once dsound.dll is moved somewhere try it again. Multiple asi loaders can interfere with each other.

Run the game as an administrator. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\ then select LaunchGTAIV, right click, and under compatibility select always run as administrator. You should also make a link to this .exe on your desktop for ease of use. EDIT: Oh, also go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\ and select the Grand Theft Auto IV folder, right click, and make sure it is NOT read only.

If you don't want to play multiplayer, then try this: go to your root GTA folder. Once there, go back one level (so like from ...\rockstar games\grand theft auto iv\ to just \rockstar games\ and then right click the grand theft auto iv folder and make sure it is not read only. Reinstall LCPD:FR (right click the installer and run as admin) and choose ONLY xliveless (xlive.dll) Give that a shot. If all that doesn't work, post another diagnostic log so I can see what is happening with the script now. oh I forgot, remove the old dsound.dll too. You can move it to another folder somewhere to have as a backup if you want.

I would assume that xfire would save the video in a standard video format. I have only done live broadcasting so I can't tell you for sure.

Try running the game as an admin (right click on LaunchGTAIV, hit properties, go to compatibility, then click always Run as Administrator). You will find this in: In C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\grand theft auto iv\GTAIV if you have the game on Steam or in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\grand theft auto IV\ or if you have a 64 bit computer it will be Program Files (x86) instead of Program Files.

Reinstall the mod but don't input your username and password when it asks. Also, in the future, please edit your posts rather than posting several times in a row. Unless it has been longer than four minutes.
