  1. Okay, I see now. There is a pre-edited file on GTA garage here that someone made but if you want your own names then use the program Tom linked.
  2. I'm not sure if vehicles can be renamed. You can add vehicles with custom names but I have never heard of it being possible to rename a car.
  3. I knew it was mapped funny, but I didn't think it would be pointless. Oh well. That's R*.
  4. There's a vehicle share texture in ...pcmodelscdimagesvehicles.img called vehshare.wtd that contains the texture for default police cruisers, but you would have to make your own texture. You can't use a texture designed for a CVPI, charger, tahoe, etc. It uses a different pattern than downloaded cars. EDIT: The specific texture name in the .wtd file is vehicle_generic_police_livery
  5. Make sure that both the indicator script the and ini file are in your scripts folder. If LCPDFR runs just fine, and both indicator files are in your scripts folder, there shouldn't be any reason for it to not work.
  6. I've had an OC'd system for a while but nothing has ever reset like that before, unless the computer failed to POST and forced itself to reset. I make reference to OC'ing rather than a RAID setup because I have never bothered with RAID, personally. Penguin's idea about the BIOS battery makes sense, you will lose your settings if your battery starts to die on your mobo. However, it is strange for the battery to only act up once like that. If it does it repeatedly you may want to check your battery (although they should last for years). I suppose a power spike could cause it, as Penguin mentioned, although a spike has never reset my BIOS before, and I've had a few close calls before (hence why I decided to get a surge protector). Did any other settings change? Did your BIOS system time change at all? That is another sign of a dead battery. if your BIOS resets the time upon every boot, then the battery is no good, most likely.
  7. It goes in your Scripts folder, not your main folder.
  8. Illumination mod, which this thread is talking about. That's also what the video you posted is about.
  9. @Dushess you will need more memory. The mod, I believe, is designed to not run with 1gb. Attempted to read or write protected memory is what gets my attention. Homeboy, please calm down. We are trying to help. Can you do us a favor please, and reinstall the mod? Remember to run the lcpdfr installer as an admin as well as the game (which you said you already were). Let's see if that does anything.
  10. EFLC = Episodes from Liberty City, yes. I guess in your case, the GTA complete pack is somehow cheaper than GTA IV + EFLC. I have no idea why, to be honest. Where I am, it's the opposite.
  11. The most expensive one is Complete Pack ($64.99 on sale). This has every GTA game on Steam, as well as many other Rockstar games like L.A. Noir. Then, there's the GTA pack ($24.99 on sale). This is every GTA game on steam. The $19.99 GTA IV complete edition is GTA IV + EFLC (EFLC is The Ballad of Gay Tony, and The Lost and the Damned). Finally, GTA IV itself is $9.99 on sale. GTA IV itself is the cheapest because it is just one game. After that, the complete edition is a little more money because it includes EFLC. The GTA pack is even more expensive because it has San Andreas, GTA III, etc. The Rockstar Pack is clearly the most expensive, as it comes with 11 games. EFLC itself is $14.99 and is just TBoGT and TLAD. It's more expensive than just GTA because it has 2 games.
  12. Well, rather than using ELS, one would have used Sam's mod. Sam: If I'm completely butchering your mod, please correct me :)
  13. You don't need ELS installed to use an ELS vehicle, is the impression I got.
  14. I never said you specifically. That's the impression I got from the thread as a whole. What I mean is there is more than one way to get music into GTA IV. I quoted your post to show another example.
  15. You could have posted this in your previous thread as an update. How much RAM does it have and what's the video card?
  16. It was discontinued. I did a little searching around through youtube. It made it so people could use lights on ELS cars without running the ELS script (or something close to that effect).
  17. Wait, the headlight flasher reflection is your Illumination mod? I assumed it was PPM only because every video I have seen of PPM (well, 3 or 4 total) seemed to have it installed. Derp.. nevermind.
  18. You do not need to patch the Steam version of the game. It is already up to date. The patcher is for the CD version only. Because it is the steam version you may have to direct Spark and other applications to where Steam installed the game (SteamApps, as break said). Spark should be able to auto detect it, though, on the newest version.
  19. There are multiple ways to tackle this problem. Vahnx choose to write a script to import from a playlist, which works. You could also just use shortcuts, or copy your music to the folder. People act like there is only one right way to solve this problem. There is more than one way to do it. +1 for your time to make a script, Vahnx.
  20. I have seen a lot of weird threads in my time but this..... this takes the cake....
  21. The reflection of the headlight flashers are PPM only as far as I know. The actual ELS lights can be brightened with Bxbug's Radiance mod.
  22. Please reply with something more meaningful than just a "bah humbug." At least quote just the part that you're referencing too rather than the whole post. @ Thread Try the RC, not the beta. See if it improves the gameplay any (since the beta is outdated). I will say, however, that disappearing scenery almost always means your GPU is too weak, and it can't handle the game. Reduce your graphics settings as well.
  23. Re-install LCPDFR. Make sure you select to install the C++ scripthook as well as scripthookdotnet. These apparently were not installed when you ran the installer. "Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV [Main] folder" This line was in the guideline post for the support section.
  24. To sync your crime stats, reinstall the mod and enter your username and password when prompted [.95 only]
