  1. Things are getting hot in here, I think we should open a window and let it air out a bit. Well said though, seriously, well said. Couldn't have said it any better myself.
  2. It seems as though you take the actions of a few officers and call for consequences on all officers, based on all of these anti-police topics you've been creating. You say that the people should hold law enforcement accountable, but you aren't trying to hold them accountable. You're trying to look for any possible reason to throw an attack at the police, and that's the problem I have with these topics you're creating. You say that you work for some sort of media outlet, this is why people hate the media. You only report on the bad that police do and never the good. If all people hear about is police beating and shooting people, then the reputation and popularity of police is obviously going to decrease. Then you turn around and say, "Not all cops are bad". Well, you aren't helping anything by giving the police a crap name. It's not about being left wing or right wing as you claim, it's about the media, to put it in a blunt way, fucking up the reputation of police officers to make a quick buck.
  3. This made me flip out of my chair. How the hell could you possibly say that Police officers aren't good people? Police officers, good or bad, put their lives on the line every single day to keep our streets safe. While you sit at home behind a computer screen safe and sound from being murdered, an officer is out on the street keeping you safe. While you pull your sheets over your chest and roll over in bed as you fall asleep, an officer is driving around in their cruiser looking for drug dealers. Police are good people because of what they do.
  4. I honestly feel like a portion of the decision to punish these officers, was to make an example of the officers. It was a test of law and public reaction.
  5. It's about the UFC boxing championship or something like that. People familiar with UFC understand what he means simply by saying the competitors and who he thinks will win, which is what he did. People not familiar with UFC will think this is a dead spam topic. I don't watch UFC so I can't say, but I have a lot of faith in Mayweather. I only saw him perform in WWE, and that wasn't necessarily a "real" performance.
  6. UPDATE: Baltimore's State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced Friday morning that several officers involved in the death of Freddie Gray will face homicide charges. “To the people of Baltimore and the demonstrators across America, I heard your call for ‘no justice, no peace.’ Your peace is sincerely needed as I work to deliver justice on behalf of this young man,” she said. Six Baltimore police officers have been criminally charged: Officer Caesar Goodson, Officer William Porter, Lt. Brian Rice, Officer Edward Nero, Officer Garrett Miller and Sgt. Alicia White. The charges, which vary for each person, include — second-degree murder, manslaughter, misconduct in office and false imprisonment. 7. I think the point of this topic is that there is no point to this topic. It's a backwards mentality with the sole purpose of mind boggling everyone into wondering what the point is, when in reality there is no point at all. It's absolutely brilliant! (Not really lol)
  8. I see nothing wrong with a little constructive criticism. I don't quite understand how one could possibly determine the tone used by an individual through reading letters on a screen. When I read comments, I base my response on what was literally typed, not the tone at which I assume the person is using. An easy solution to this issue is to begin presuming the tone as being neutral, neither negative or positive. This can help divert some of the issues we seem to be having here. Though I will say that there is a difference between constructive criticism and blatant hate. Criticism should always be welcomed, and presented in a respectful and educated manner.
  9. Pizza is good. Taco's. Taco's are also good my friend. What about you? What's good?
  10. ineseri.... I want to become illuminati. Will you help me accomplish this goal? I want to become a key leader in the illuminati.
  11. YAS BOO YAAAAAAS!!!! Holy crap, the wait is killing me.
  12. National guard has just arrived in BALTIMORE. Check the original post for the video link!
  13. Now what about the idiots that went on and purchased the mods? Guess they're just screwed.
  14. Why do you constantly post articles and reports that very blatantly attempt to openly attack law enforcements? I still haven't seen a single article by you about something good law enforcement has done. I just don't think it makes much sense to post them on a policing mod forum. You're simply judging law enforcement as a whole based on the actions of a few. This type of behavior is what plagues our society with hate and ignorance.
  15. Mayor of Baltimore has just spoken and she's said that she is going yo deploy the National Guard as soon as they become available. She has also instituted a city curfew of 10 PM to 5 AM for ALL residents of Baltimore.
  16. I think they're better in GTA V, though I feel like the cars are a bit small compared to the size of the actual roads and such.
  17. Especially since Baltimore is 65% Black. This was to be expected, though violence in Baltimore isn't anything new.
  18. I'm not entirely sure. Yahoo is known for posting only partial of the story, or not telling the full truth.
  19. Baltimore City has been usually peaceful since the officers were charged with several counts, and given life sentences in prison. Here is an old video of some of the rioting for you all that don't like in the US to get an idea of what they were like. I will be updating this topic as the situation unfolds. Be sure to check the newest responses for my updated posts. A protest over the death of Freddie Gray, who was critically injured in police custody, started peacefully with thousands marching through downtown streets before the demonstration turned violent and volatile. Related Stories A dozen arrested as Freddie Gray protests turn violent Associated Press Latest on police-custody death: Officer injured near station Associated Press Latest on Baltimore police-custody death: Protests wind down Associated Press Twelve arrested in Baltimore after march to protest black man's death Reuters Friends: Man's death after arrest reveals Baltimore dynamics Associated Press The chaotic scene Saturday night prompted the first public remarks from Freddie Gray's twin sister, who pleaded for peace at a news conference alongside the mayor. "My family wants to say, can you all please, please stop the violence?" Fredricka Gray said. "Freddie Gray would not want this." Just before nightfall, groups of protesters marched from City Hall to the Camden Yards baseball stadium, where the Baltimore Orioles played the Boston Red Sox. Fans were told to briefly stay inside the stadium until the police were able to clear an intersection outside of the venue. My opinion on the issue: Before those of you that are very ignorant begin to make asinine generalizations of Blacks, just know that I'm Black and law enforcement has my full support. I don't live very far from Baltimore, and these clashes are taking place in the roughest ghettos in Baltimore. People in these ghettos can barely afford to eat. Crime and violence is an everyday thing in these areas of Baltimore, just the crime and violence has never been organized with a purpose. Here's a link to the news article I was reading: http://news.yahoo.com/freddie-gray-protests-turn-violent-baltimore-070616463.html
  20. Honestly this could be an easily resolved issue, and if gamers would stop purchasing mods, they'd be bound to make them free again. The downside is that this can go one of two ways: Nobody purchases the mods, which this would take mass coordination among the gaming community, and they make the mods free again since no one is purchasing them. Nobody purchases the mods, and they continue to require payments in an attempt to smash the modding community from Steam.
  21. There were a number of different topics on separate things pertaining to Star Wars, and I thought; Why not have one topic where anything and everything Star Wars related can be discussed? Hence the idea to create this topic was formed. For those of you interested in Star Wars, we can discuss the new Star Wars movie, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Star Wars Battlefront, anything! For the sake of having a base subject for this topic, how do you guys feel about the heightened Star Wars releases? We've got a Star Wars MMO, a Star Wars movie, and a new Star Wars game releasing soon. Some people are saying that the movie and game will be a failure, like the MMO. What do you guys think? I've also posted some media pictures, as well as links to the different Star Wars development projects. Enjoy! :) http://starwars.ea.com/starwars/battlefront http://www.starwars.com/films/star-wars-episode-vii-the-force-awakens http://www.swtor.com/
  22. Which is why I feel that comparing two different law enforcement agencies from different countries isn't reasonable. American police need to do things to cope with the American population, just as Swedish police need to do things to cope with the Swedish population. Everyday crime is completely different in Sweden and the United States, so law enforcement expectations and responses are going to be different. What an American officer might fear, and Swedish police officer may not even think about. What Swedish police may use caution with, American police may just rush in and bust everyone. American police doing what Swedish police would do just doesn't make any sense to me. None at all, not a lick of sense. Swedish police do what they feel is necessary to keep their country safe. American police do what they feel is necessary to keep America safe. I think it should continue to remain this way. NYPD should do what they feel is necessary, not what police in Sweden feel is necessary.
