  1. I did state that there are a lot of people that seriously require that assistance and there's nothing wrong with that. But just as there are people that need it, there are people that really don't need it and continue to soak up the system. In some of the nastiest and crime ridden neighborhoods in America you certainly can survive off of $800 a month. As I said, some of the lower income Baltimore neighborhoods have homes that sell for as low as $3,000 compared to the $800,000 we paid for our current home. In sure $800 a month is enough to live under those circumstances. Of course $800 a month was pulled out of my ass. Some people might actually be getting more than that from welfare and benefits. I just think you are underestimating how stupid and hopeless some people actually are. There are plenty of people that wouldn't mind living in a ghetto crime hole while making below the poverty line, just to sit on their ass and riot all day.
  2. Umm... you absolutely can live on minimum wage. It's called the ghetto, and it's a complete mess.
  3. Just want to go ahead and mention that I'm a black American, and you're absolutely right. We don't say what TheChef said here in America and if anyone said that in a black community here, they'd probably get beaten up. I've never heard of the reference "Obama's son". Whether it's meant to be offensive or not, I do see it as being a very ignorant statement.
  4. I vouch for this. I'm sick and tired of funding people to try and help them when they aren't even helping themselves. Obviously not everyone that's unemployed is lazy and careless, but it doesn't take much to notice that people like to soak up the benefits here in America. If a 17 year old black male with no educational degree can make $1.50 above the minimum wage, so should anyone else, that doesn't have some sort of disability or a tragic family event, etc.
  5. I assume you've never driven down a low income neighborhood in the Unifed States. Maybe it doesn't work that way over in Europe or in France, but it works that way in a lot of American neighborhoods. A 15 or 16 year old girl with a child can make roughly $300 on welfare alone, and up to $500 on social security. That's $800 a month, plus any other form of income they may be receiving on the side. We'll assume, for the sake of this discussion, they make an extra $100 to $150 doing small side jobs a month. Not only is the girl now making $900 a month, but the father has a responsibility to pay her child support every month as well. This isn't optional, it's required by law and the father will be arrested if he doesn't comply. She can also get food stamps, a substitution for cash at the grocery store basically. When this all adds up, you can absolutely live in some of the poorer neighborhoods in America, such as some of the inner city Baltimore neighborhoods. Some people are willing to do that, and more than 100,000,000 Americans on welfare out of the 300,000,000+ we have? That's not the best ratio in the world. The next time you visit the United States I encourage you to drive down to Ferguson or Baltimore and tell those people that you feel for them. I'm sure they'll welcome you just like home. (Just make sure your doors are locked, I almost got carjacked in Baltimore in the past lol)
  6. Yes, absolutely. If I could sit on my butt and make enough to support myself by doing nothing, I definitely would like to do so; but I have much higher self-expectations and standards than that. Yes, absolutely. If I could sit on my butt and make enough to support myself by doing nothing, I definitely would like to do so; but I have much higher self-expectations and standards than that.
  7. You'd have to ask those people, I'm not one of them.
  8. Or an entire community of people that are too lazy to get off their butts and earn a living, so they sit around doing nothing and soak up welfare and low-income from the federal government.
  9. Just an hour ago a State of Emergency was issued in Ferguson, so this makes me assume that there are bursts of violence happening. I'm not sure of the trial, but he is being convicted of a lot of stuff that's been proven.
  10. I think he's already been prosecuted. The shooting was confirmed to be justified, he actually shot at an undercover police car when it was following him.
  11. For those of you not residing in the United States, yes, this is still going on. Yesterday marked the anniversary for the Ferguson shooting of Michael Brown by police. The protests in Ferguson resumed after police shot a man, Tyrone Harris, that they say opened fire on them this past Sunday. Tyrone remains in critical condition. Today, prosecutors issued 10 charges against Tyrone, including four counts of first-degree assault on a police officer. Hours after the shooting, two more teens were injured in a drive-by shooting as they walked to a memorial honoring Michael Brown, a criminal. 12. 1. If I were an American cop, I would have shot the guy. If I wasn't an American cop and didn't have a gun, I'd try to taze him. This decision would vary based on country, and based on experience as a cop. I have no experience of being a police officer, so I can't accurately describe what I'd do. Training and other things would determine my decision, but based on the way things are now for me, I'd shoot him. 2. Help my comrade. His health is much more important than a criminal. We can catch him another day. 3. Pull the guy from the car. Nothing else matters if he burns alive.
  13. I get this awkward feeling very often. "Oh if I were a cop he'd so get a fat ticket from me..."
  14. When your computer isn't good enough to play LSPDFR....
  15. I agree, not a bad idea to create a forum category for old support topics. It could be like the forum game category where it doesn't bump the forum, and posts aren't counted. Guess that won't happen though, the issue probably won't be resolved as a result.
  16. Wouldn't it be best to simply close topics that haven't been active for 30 days? Why leave them open?
  17. I've been a Yahoo user for a few years now, the writer is serious. These articles pop up all the time.
  18. In my opinion it's all really just one giant cluster of confused people pissed about a flag, but it was a mixture of KKK and Black Panthers. I believe the Panthers went first, preaching black supremacy. Then the KKK is what's in this video, preaching the opposite.
  19. I'll take the hot chick please, thanks! This has got to be the most ridiculous thing I've read in a while, and I read some pretty ridiculous things every day. There doesn't need to be an explanation to understand why this won't work. A terrible idea, and I'm glad I've never heard of it before.
  20. Rockstar stated that any form of mods brought into GTA Online will result in disciplinary actions. I'd assume this means anything non-vanilla brought into the game, including LSPD:FR. They mentioned it on one of their articles they write on their website, I'll try to find the link and update my response.
  21. Hope they put a few bullets into this maniac. We don't need people that think it's cool to run around and shoot innocent people on this planet. Glad the injured officers are alright, and not too seriously wounded.
  22. Yes this video is a few weeks old, I don't need you to point it out. Thanks for your consideration. I was browsing YouTube videos of the whole South Carolina and Confederate flag deal, and I came across a very interesting video. The video depicts blacks arguing with whites on the struggles of being a black American and things along those lines. The blacks in this video claim that they face racism on a daily basis and that people of other races don't understand how hard it is to be black. The white's claim that they're the ones facing racism at the rally to begin with, yet no one seems to care. For those of you interested in this whole flag situation, I'm curious to get your thoughts on this video alone. Please note that this topic isn't about the legality of the flag, whether you think the flag is right, etc. This topic is primarily about what I've just described above. I'd like to mention that I'm a black American, and as my profile demonstrates I'm proud of it. From my experience thus far, being black in America really isn't that hard. Sure there are always going to be racists on both sides of the coin, but I have yet to face any sort of unbearable racism or discrimination. I've actually faced more racism from other blacks, claiming that I act, speak, and dress like a white boy than I have from whites altogether. This allows me to conclude that being black in America really isn't that difficult, at least from my perspective. Just my two cents though, maybe I'm just lucky.
  23. You absolutely do have the right to record the police. I've heard that police officers, under specific circumstances, can ask you to stop recording and taking photographs of them; but under no circumstances can they legally seize that footage or force you to delete it.
  24. Cool I just went on and downloaded it. I did notice a slight drop in performance for gaming though. Otherwise I'm absolutely loving it!
  25. This doesn't make any sense to me. Why would I wait to download Windows 10 automatically when I can follow a link and download it that way?
