  1. Can't complain with Driver SF for $1, got a copy on Sunday, is quite fun playing around with the shift mechanic and making the lives of San Francisco residents a living hell.
  2. The payload on that thing - can't wait to drop what look like 500lbs bombs on LS.
  3. These need screenshots or we won't approve it.
  4. On August 5th 2009, the LCPD First Response mod was officially born when the first trailer video was published on GTAForums.com, featuring the very first version of what is now arguably one of the most popular GTA mods of all time. Now, LCPDFR is about much, much more than the police simulation mod that got the ball rolling almost exactly 3 years ago. Now, LCPDFR is undoubtedly the biggest GTA emergency related community in existence today. For me, LCPDFR is by far one of my greatest accomplishment in my eighteen years of life. You can interpret that, or look at it, in whatever way you want, but to have built something like this from absolutely nothing to the phenomenon that it is today is honestly such a great feeling and for this reason, I am simply amazingly proud of everything that the team and myself have accomplished. Sure, it's not quite as significant as founding Google or Facebook, but it's still pretty damn cool. To see for yourself what we have achieved in the past few years, here are some simple statistics. Our members have: Uploaded just under 1,000 files to the site, which are all available completely free to everyone without the need to sign up to anything at all. These files have been downloaded over half a million times. Made just under 80,000 posts across 16 forum sections. These posts have been viewed over a million times. Uploaded over 5,000 gallery images across 666 albums. These images have been viewed hundreds of thousands of times. Called in over 3,000,000 LCPD backup units during gameplay. This has resulted in over 1,800,000 arrests. The LCPD First Response mod has: Been downloaded over 400,000 times. This makes LCPDFR one the most downloaded GTA IV mods ever. Twice been featured in PC Gamer magazine. As far as we know, no other GTA IV modification has been featured twice like this. Been viewed over 470,000 times on GTAForums.com. This makes LCPDFR the all time most viewed topic in the GTAForums "Mod Showroom" for script mods. Inspired thousands of people to involve themselves with game modifications, computing science, policing and the emergency services. The LCPDFR.com website has: Since February 22, 2012, been visited by over 220,000 people from 157 different countries. Been visited by over 10 different law enforcement agencies, including the New York Police Department, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Across a number of website ranking services, been estimated to be worth between $5,000 to $15,000. Since February 22, 2012, served over 6 million pageviews.
  5. Who made the sound pack? If it wasn't you, then you need to credit them.
  6. This will not be approved until adequate detail is given in the 'credits' field.

Isn't it better that they can impersonate police in a video game rather than in real life then?
  8. I'd just like to say a big thanks to you for all that you've done for everyone here. I know that it's hard when you get screwed around with by a bunch of different sites when you just want to do what you love and share it with the people that love it. Last year when you gave this site a chance and you came over here, it really was a turning point for all of us here with your content really putting us on the map. Your work certainly played a big part in making lcpdfr.com the place to be as far as emergency/police related modding is concerned, and for that I'm sure that everyone here is thankful, as I know that I am. It'll be really sad to see you go, although hopefully you'll be able to find the time to pop in every now and then. Although you did request a lock, I'm not going to do that just yet as I'm sure that there will be others just like me who would like to get in a few words.

  10. Just to let everyone know, we will be working on this as a team, all of us, after the release of 0.95, which won't be too far away.
  11. I've played GTA since Vice City, which was 9 years ago, making me something like 9 or 10 years old at the time. I remember completely not understanding the sexual references or drug references whatsoever, all I wanted to do was shoot up people and get in cop chases. Obviously the swearing is maybe more of an issue as it is something that kids are more likely to pick up. I honestly think too much of a fuss is made about sex and nudity and drug usage and all that stuff in GTA, though, as I think that the focus should be on the fact that you can get a chainsaw and cut someone up into small pieces, or run people over with a combine harvester in SA and watch their blood come out of it, or ram someone against a wall in IV and kill them from the compression between the car and the wall. In my opinion the sheer level of violence in GTA is much more significant than anything else, as much of the other questionable content in the game is easily overlooked, but the predominant theme is killing people.
  12. It's a simple concept to grasp, but here it is explained yet again. For SUPPORT issues, please post in the SUPPORT section of the website. Trying to get help for a problem like this DOES NOT belong in a thread like this. It's just ignorant and rude to post anywhere demanding help like that. Also, if you had bothered to search for information relating to your problem, you wind find that the simple solution is to make it so your GTA IV files aren't read only, and that you run the installer as an administrator.
  13. The LCPDFR.com forum section is only for issues with the website itself. Your issue is with the installer, which isn't part of the website. Also, if you are going to post a request for support, just telling us that "Installation Failed" really doesn't help, you need to provide more information. Try running the installer as administrator.
  14. You already posted this here: No need to post it again.
  15. The most recognition we've ever had was a half-page feature in the February 2012 issue of PC Gamer magazine. Unfortunately after the 'hot coffee' scandal, Rockstar distanced themselves entirely from the modding community. It would be cool to get some sort of word or mention from Rockstar, or even if they invited us for a tour of their offices as they are in Edinburgh and so are we, but that's probably not going to happen :(
  16. In my opinion, this looks really cheap and far too flashy.

  19. Feel free to add the link.
  20. I'm in the process of adding a drop down leg holster to the M_M_GUNNUT_01 model.
