- Is there some sort of police mod for GTA III?
GTA III doesn't really have much in the way of police AI or anything, as far as I know there's nothing like this for it.- LIVE PROTEST GETTING VIOLANT! Seattle, WA

Police Buffalo 1.0 ELS-DN cruises past with an old school V-shaped rotating lightbar and integrated headlight flashers,- GTA V: NEW Trailers Video and Discussion

The cops look really good too - you can see they've got shoulder mics and an updated belt with proper pouches and stuff on it - it looks really detailed. Then there's Trevor - <3- LCPD Traffic Enforcement
Yeah, sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. There's definitely a problem though where even just an unmodified export of the model will cause crashes. Try shooting up the car a lot, calling in backup and shooting them up, etc., it should crash eventually.- GTA V: NEW Trailers Video and Discussion
Looks like R* have thrown us a bone with the new police cars and stuff!- LCPD Traffic Enforcement
Just wondering if you managed to fix the bug where modifying the Vapid Police Cruiser would cause it to crash the game when the windows were shot?- LCPD Traffic Enforcement

It's a bit more complicated than that I think - I'd find it quite alarming anyway that 10,000 people had been removed or banned or whatever. There's some irregularities in the database where the user IDs move about a little bit, and some are left out and then I think there's even a few other bugs. I think a small percentage of them will be users that we've banned and I know for sure that that number is under 200 although I suspect that in terms of people we've actually manually banned, and not counting ban evasion, etc., it will be closer to 100. The remainder are most likely spambots which get banned instantly by IP.Board (our forum software). But yeah, if someone had told me 3 and a bit years ago that I was going to, in 3 years time, be involved with something as awesome and popular as this then I'd have given them a look as if to say "yeah, sure". I suppose the cool thing is that it all just happened, it wasn't planned or cultivated, it just happened and I went with it. We have indeed come a long way since July 2009 when it was just me and my GTAForums topic. Lil-rich and LMS came onboard in the following months, and then towards the end of the year Jay came along as well and it was then that we set up a proper website and I do sort of wish I could say that it just grew from there on, but it didn't really, everything was quite slow moving until only a few years ago when certain well known events happened.- Cj24's Modifications
It's a problem because honestly it's a bit of a slap in the face. It just says to me "screw you, I don't like you or your site so I'm not going to upload on it any more, oh and to rub some salt in the wounds, I'm going to upload to other places and post the links to those other places on your site". I like you and I like your mods, I just don't get why you upload them everywhere else except here. I mean GTA4-Mods has 162 pages of vehicles which you can't even filter yet you upload there, so I don't get it? Everyone here wants you to be part of LCPDFR and post your stuff here, just look at what happened the last time you did: 1000+ downloads, 7000+ views. I don't get it?- Cj24's Modifications

As far as I know, there's a lot less competition now than there was a year and a bit ago. Indeed, the only competition going on right now, and this is purely from speculation and from what has been leaked and/or told to me, is GPM pushing forward EVCS heavily as a way to get back at us, with the people in charge over there heavily supporting and promoting it as a way of making their site relevant again and 'competing' with us, ELS 7 and ELS.Net. Again, this is just from what I've been told and it could be wrong, but judging by the amount of EVCS stuff on their site, I'm going to say it is at least partly correct. Of course its true that most websites want people to upload their mods to that website, it makes perfect sense. Indeed, I personally don't understand what the point is in letting people use LCPDFR as their own personal advertising tool - it seems stupid to me for us to allow people to just use us like that. Here's the thing though, we all know that posting gallery images and making forum posts and getting in our featured blocks and spotlights is a brilliant way of promoting your work. It puts it on prominent display to literally thousands and thousands of individual people and ultimately that's the thing that makes this site work and makes us popular - we have fresh, new content, every day. So, yes, we understand that people do like to use us as a way of promoting and advertising their sites, their studios/teams and their mods themselves. We support this and we encourage it, so long as what you are promoting or advertising is available on our site for our members to download, visit or whatever. You have to understand that not all of our members want to search through 10 different sites every day for new mods - they like it when everything is available in the one place. Essentially, LCPDFR.com is this one place. It benefits us in terms of our exposure, popularity and traffic. It benefits our members as they save bucket-loads of time, they have everything in one place and they don't have to rely on anything else. The important thing to remember is that it benefits everyone that makes a mod too - by uploading it here, you are putting it on display to the single biggest community of this kind that there is, you are getting the widest and biggest possible audience for your work. In short, we want you to upload your stuff here as it benefits everyone (as explained above). If you don't want to upload your stuff here, that's fair enough, just don't advertise or promote it here either. As long everything you advertise or promote has a link where it can be downloaded on our site, it can have any other number of links where it can be downloaded elsewhere.- U.S.A UNDER ATTACK OR SOMTHING?
I know it's been posted before, but yeah: Sadly there's a lot worse happening in the world, and considering the stuff in Boston was pretty bad, that really is quite a disturbing truth. Perhaps worse though is that for the innocent people in Syria being caught up in a civil war all day, they don't have only 2 armed suspects and 9,000 police officers to protect them - they have 2 warring factions with Islamic fundamentalists and terrorists trying to get their way, the government trying to retain its grip on power and the ordinary innocent people caught in between simply trying to survive. I think they came to the US nearly a decade ago. They're both US citizens. The older brother was married to an American I believe, and they had a daughter. The younger brother is reported to be very intelligent and was awarded a scholarship to study medicine. He was also an amateur wrestler for his university team.- The Boston and Watertown bombings and shootings
Multiple news sources saying he's in custody, radio traffic says he's in custody too. If they have him alive, this is a job well done.- The Boston and Watertown bombings and shootings
Lots of communication problems persisting: - FBI HRT and Boston SWAT seemed to have conflicting plans and details of events - Seems to be no direct communication between FBI HRT and Boston/local police - Was a lot of concern about the media getting too close, some officers were dispatched to stop them - Someone accidentally hit their radio alarm - resulted in an open mic and cops yelling "OPEN MIC WATCH YOUR RADIO ETC." - Lots of concern about the helicopter downlink (I think its what I'm listening to) being available on the internet.- The Boston and Watertown bombings and shootings
FBI HRT saying there is no fire on the boat. Apparently they've deployed another flashbang and have dogs on scene, no movement yet. Flashbangs are apparently a "good distance" from the suspect, looks like he's maybe too far in the boat or something? Just heard something about negotiations - this combined with all the "don't return fire" seems to suggest an emphasis on taking this suspect alive. I believe a local mayor has been quoted by a news agency as saying the suspect is the 19 year old brother.- The Boston and Watertown bombings and shootings
Lots going on here: http://boston.cbslocal.com/cbs-boston-live-stream/ Suspect hiding in a boat - thermal imaging spotted him. Boston SWAT reporting a fire or flame on the boat, FBI HRT seem to have different plans - looks like there's some conflicting tactics and stuff, communication problems. Boston asked for the boat to be lit up with light so they could see it, FBI HRT saying not to light it up. FBI HRT launching some sort of device right now. Flashbang I think? Flashbang being deployed, telling all units not to return fire. Again, "all units do not return fire" Someone's calling for radio silence- The Boston and Watertown bombings and shootings
Do we know for a fact that the younger brother has killed anyone?
