  1. The male cop animations work okay with it.
  2. What animations?
  3. I've done more work and they're almost finished. All they need now is some vertex colouring and maybe some minor tweaks. Today I added the long sleeve variant and a new head model for a black variant. This means there's now 2 heads (white and black), 2 hair models, 2 upper body models, the original LSPD badge and nameplate and a lower body model. Have a look at the new additions below:

Thrilling? No. But it sure could be fun. I don't think it gets any better than pouring away someone's can of Sprunk that they just bought while mashing the buttons trying to control your character's shit-eating grin.

I don't know if a mod like this could ever reach its full potential. Sure, we have the limitations when it comes to clothing and what not, but the real problem here is the lack of children in GTA IV. We all know that the TSA are really at their finest whenever small children are involved.
  6. This is part of the problem when people start converting GTA V's map though. When people start converting the map from GTA V to GTA IV, all it does is reduces the chances that we'll see GTA V on PC as Rockstar will notice people like you telling them to go fuck themselves because they already have what looks like GTA V.
  7. Nope, I'm not doing anything with Evan's peds. The female one is the only one I'm doing at the moment as everyone seems to want it (I can't possibly think of why!) and it should be done in the next few days.
  8. Nope, the V heads and hands are in different positions. Rigging is taking a mesh (model) from a different game and merging it onto a ped from the other game to use in that game. In this case, taking an unskinned mesh from GTA V and merging it onto a skinned mesh from GTA IV. Then you have to fix all the little bugs :) By skinned, I mean that the model is attached to a skeleton underneath it, so the parts like arms and head and legs can move. It's a tedious process.
  9. Yeah they don't seem to fit will with weapons. The same is true for most, if not all, of the female peds in GTA IV though, and I used the head and hands from the nurse model so that I wouldn't have to rig the GTA V face and hands, which is quite hard. Sure. Hahaha, no! Not even close. GTA V is such an amazingly intricate and detailed game. The possibilities with it would far eclipse anything we have just now.
  10. Getting there!
  11. How is it you change where the props appear?
  12. I've had my battles with glare and shine before too. In my case it was always fixed by doing and double checking the normal maps and specular maps
  13. It's possible that there may be a scripted solution for these problems. EDIT: In an update to what I said above, I just successfully replaced the M_M_FATCOP_01_WHITE audio file with an edited version containing over 200 sound clips taken from the white female LSPD officer in GTA V. Sadly there isn't enough similarity between the material in GTA V and GTA IV to do a like for like replacement, so there are a few speech clips I couldn't replace like asking to open the trunk, asking for ID and such. Hehe, well, it worked for a good 20 minutes. Then eventually I think the game had had enough of my voice editing and crashed :(
  14. Absolutely. I'm working on a nice polished version of the female LSPD cop adapted into an LCPD version. I just finished converting over all the audio files for it from GTA V and manually renaming and identifying them all :). Took about 5 hours.
  15. Just now the best idea is probably using the fat cop although I'll see what I can do as far as LCPDFR 1.0 supporting custom peds is concerned.
  16. The glare is a lot less noticeable since you redid the normal and spec maps. Your game looks far too bright though.
  17. You know a lot of people don't fully realise or understand the pressure and work involved in maintaining a website as popular and complicated as this one, especially all by yourself. From the hilarious bugs and glitches to the awesome moment where all of you downloading LCPDFR at the same time crashes the website and even to the kids with their denial of service tools, there's just all sorts of things that can go wrong and when there's literally tens of thousands of people hungry to get their fix of LCPDFR.com for the day, it's an enormous amount of pressure upon one single person's shoulders. It is therefore a nice feeling to see everyone pop by and share their wishes for his birthday today as he definitely deserves it. Jay's in London at the moment and is taking a well deserved break from all of us, although I'll be sure to pass this thread onto him!
  18. I'll do my best to make some releaseable progress on the female cop.
  19. Yeah, there's only one female LSPD model and it has black and white skin textures. I've been taking a look at some other models that caught my eye, like this one: I believe this is from the autopsy mission, it's a really cool IAA agent!
