This is an LSPD Nightstick from GTA V, converted to GTA IV and intended to replace the pool cue. ---------------- NOTES If replacing pool cue, be sure to edit the weapons.xml with the replacement provided or it won't work as a weapon. The model provided is unlocked - please make sure to show common respect and decency for the work of others and provide fair credit when redistributing and editing the modification. CREDITS GTA V models and textures by Rockstar Games, converted to GTA IV by Sam. Thanks to trewq34 and evanscornelius for their support in providing GTA V files and getting the ball rolling with GTA V ped conversions in general. Additional thanks to the OpenIV team, Doomer3D for GIMS IV, koolk for LibertyV, Dageron for GTAV Texture Editor, tgascoigne for xdr2obj and everyone else involved with GTA V modding. Without their tools, this mod would not be possible.

This is a male LSPD police officer model with multiple variants converted from GTA V to GTA IV. ---------------- NOTES This modification features three race variants, two upper body variants and 4 badge/nameplate texture variants. Upper body variants are compatible with LCPDFR 1.0 (they use a black undershirt like the default game). Note that I've edited the uniform textures so that they are less black and more blue. The GTA V male cops wear black short sleeve shirts and navy blue long sleeve shirts. All uniform components are now navy blue. Model features correct normal and alternative specular mapping (makes clothes less shiny!), as well as properly positioned props, including glasses and the default LCPD hats (both variants). The model provided is unlocked - please make sure to show common respect and decency for the work of others and provide fair credit when redistributing and editing the modification. I highly recommend that you only edit the models and audio if you know what you are doing. CREDITS GTA V and Max Payne 3 models, textures and audio by Rockstar Games, converted to GTA IV by Sam. Model rigging, editing, some uv-mapping and some audio editing and splicing by Sam. FINALLY This model shouldn't cause too many problems. Be sure to edit the PedVariations.dat file with the replacement provided and always remember that there are always bugs when modding is concerned. For the most part, this model is bug free. Note that unlike the female LSPD officer, audio files are not provided with this modification. While, yes, the GTA V police have hundreds more speech files (especially the male ones), there are still a large number of GTA IV speech files that would not be replaced. GTA V does not have audio for things like traffic stops, searching for lost suspects, ordering suspects out of cars, asking for ID etc.
  5. I've seen plently including Gordon Brown when he was prime minister and the UK's nuclear missiles being transported to HMNB Clyde.
  6. EXECUTIVE ORDER #21056 Exemption from accusations of cheating. I hereby decree that myself, Sam, is exempt from any accusations of cheating in this topic. Furthermore, any and all past accusations of cheating are dismissed with immediate effect. Sam Founder, Project Manager & Your Dear Leader LCPDFR
  7. I think the best thing to do is avoid using the fast walk feature. LCPDFR only sets the walking animation when using that or after being healed during hardcore mode.
  8. If GTA V comes out for PC and is as moddable as IV was, I'm going to say it'll be the best GTA ever.
  9. It's more trouble than it is worth in my opinion. Converting the GTA V faces takes a lot of effort as they're not skinned to a skeleton so you have to rig it onto one of the default faces. Of course, this is where you get the problem of hands not being aligned correctly, fingers not working, mouth not moving, etc. Using the GTA IV faces is the best option as you don't have these problems and you also get the added benefit of GTA IV's 512x512 textures.
  10. Nah, it'd be too much work to do anything worthwhile with it. The LCPD station isn't finished, lacks walls, lacks collision, etc. It'd take a lot of 3d modelling and editing to make it worth using. Then there's the slight problem where it just flat out doesn't exist in EFLC!

  12. Nope, I set it up manually to give an idea of the peds in LCPDFR style action.

This is a female LSPD police officer model with multiple variants and associated speech audio, all from GTA V. NOTES This modification features two race variants, two upper body variants and 4 badge/nameplate texture variants. Also included is audio from the S_F_Y_COP model in GTA V. This was painstakingly manually listened to and converted to GTA IV by myself. Model features correct normal and specular mapping, as well as properly positioned props, including glasses and the default LCPD hats (both variants). The model provided is unlocked - please make sure to show common respect and decency for the work of others and provide fair credit when redistributing and editing the modification. I highly recommend that you only edit the models and audio if you know what you are doing. FINALLY Note that this modification pushes the boundaries as far as GTA IV and peds are concerned. It may be unstable due to replaced audio files, it may have issues related to replacing a ped of the opposite gender and it does have small bugs when using animations which were only designed for male characters (e.g. shooting and all police related ones). While this isn't perfect, it is, for now, the best you can get. PEDS AND AUDIO IN ACTION! Below is a video of the modification in action, including audio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8FBC7Qk0SE
  15. It could be any number of keys. Try ~, `, ", @ Also, note that it is the .Net ScriptHook console, not the game, so it only works with the .net hook.
  16. I guess you don't understand much about how model locking works. In GTA IV's case, locking is a feature in zModeler which lets you put a bit of data into the model file. When zModeler opens a model file, it searches for this bit of data and if it finds it, it won't let you open the file, telling you that it is locked. GTA IV's default model files aren't locked because they don't have this bit of data in them as when Rockstar made the models, they will have used their own software to do so, rather than a third party application like zModeler. You might as well consider the default model files to be locked as without an application which understands the format, you cannot open them. This is where zModeler comes in, as people have reverse engineered and investigated the structure of these files and therefore figured out how to open them. That, by itself, is against the End User License Agreement of the game and is also copyright infringement as the GTA model format is Rockstar's own format which they made and own. By modifying these structures, you're making unauthorised derivative works. Now, that isn't what this is about. Everyone should know that technically modding the game is illegal and against the EULA. This is simply about the extent to which Rockstar enforce the EULA and the suggestion that Jay, myself and others have made, that they may draw the line at an entire map conversion from their flagship game.
  17. I don't think there's anything wrong with small conversions like cars or peds. Trying to convert the whole map of GTA V is a different thing altogether. Personally I don't have a problem with it, but it is the sort of thing that Rockstar might be concerned about it.

  19. Yup, it seems to work okayish.
  20. Jackets and rain coats isn't going to happen. At a push I might try to make an LCPD version but I don't know how much time I'll have to keep working on all of these peds. At the moment they replace the fat cop, I'm well aware that there was an F_Y_COP at one point in GTA IV although as far as I can tell, replacing the fat cop is the only feasible way to use proper voices for them as it looks like we can only replace, and not add, voices.
