I gotta find a scanner... I have a decent amount of pictures of 90s era squads I took myself. Being that I took them in the 90s, that means they're actual pictures...

I have faith the Impala 1FL could certainly work for a dept that was well served with the previous Impala. But 100% agreed, the loss of the Caprice (again) is tragic (again).

For me it's Miami Vice all the way (the TV series, NOT the movie) with the Ferrari Daytona Spyder and the Ferrari Testarossa. Although the Daytona used in the series was actually a faux Ferrari made using a Corvette Stingray, it's still among my favorite Celeb LE cars.

I literally hate myself for forgetting the Mad Max interceptors... FML.     11John11, I love the color of that Impala.

While completely absurd, gotta give a nod to the Caprice in Black Sheep, haha.

And the remake 1-Baker-11 wasn't too bad for 2000. Made sense for their division.

I'm big into the Mopar style squads. My favorite has to go to good old "Adam-12", specifically the Plymouth Belvedere they used.

Then I really do like 1-Baker-11, which is a 1971 Mercury Montego I think.

And then I really do like two other units from the Original Gone in 60 Seconds, but I'm not sure if you'd call them movie cars per se, since some were actually real police cars.

So we got a Favorite (General) Police Car and an amazing Classic Police Car thread... So how about your favorite "celebrity" car, used by a LEO in film/TV/game/etc?  Definitely doesn't need to be your typical patrol car, because that wouldn't be Hollywood!

I'd say for sure Nash Bridge's '71 Cuda convertible.

    Walker's Ram. Because reasons.

Once upon a time in the late 90s there was this really crappy show called Pacific Blue, that I enjoyed so much it's embarrassing. While the show was about bike cops, the opening credits always had a Santa Monica PD Hummer in it, my favorite vehicle as a kid. It was used in maybe 3 episodes over like 5 years. Was sad to learn SMPD never actually had one.

    Honorable mentions:
-My real favorite is probably Buford T. Justice's Pontiac LeMans, but I have posted that on this site a couple times already.
-Walt Longmire's Ford Bronco. Honestly the entire Absaroka County Sheriff's Office livery is awesome. Very well done.

There are alot of memes here about that whole topic. I dont get it anyways. The US isnt known for their great rules about economic stfuff and yet everyone looses their mind. VW did fuck up with their manipulation but I personally think the rest of the car industry is like "Oh look at VW, those bad guys did some manipulations on their tests and stuff. Thats so horrible. Oh, and please dont look closer into our stuff. Please. Dont. We do everything correctly. We promise!!!"

But yeah, you are right, maybe they just replace all of their VWs with Skoda :D And then its like the situation here, you can decide if you buy a VW or buy a WV with Skoda logo and save 20% ^^

Besides that, if I would ever be asked if I want an american car, I would choose this:

Its not even that super-expensive as an import into germany for what its specs promise, but the costs for fuel are the real problem I guess^^

I work at a Ford dealership. I have lost count how many of these we have done on the AWD Utilities (and some civvi Explorers), but we average one every two weeks (granted we're in a busy area and serve a large number of departments). Today's was one of the more impressive ones, when it failed (pictured) it cracked the transmission shell too (not pictured). Fortunately all of the ones we have done have been covered by warranty!

Really would like to be inside one when it fails. Almost every time the officer says they didn't even know it happened initially. They drive them to the dealership like this half the time! It's silly that they fail like this/so often, but dang if it ain't impressive that they can keep going!

I dig the Kodiaq. That would make a cool squad.

As for your car... Well for starters, not many consistently hit that 50mpg mark without being a hybrid, which means more expensive. But a comparable car would be the Golf of course, being same parent company and all.  A VW Golf with similar options would be around $19,000-20,000 USD, but they only have an estimate of 35mpg.

Just some averages of cars in similar size/options I saw quick from my dealership group and nearby dealers (mpg's are EPA highway estimate):
    -Toyota Yaris:  38mpg, $17,000
    -Ford Fiesta: Unreliable, 40 mpg = $16,000
    -Chevy Sonic: $18,000
    -Honda Fit: $18,000  (38 mpg)
-Mitsubishi Mirage: $15,000 (41mpg)      (Ugly, look and feel cheap, actually drove one of these once)

Your Fabia looks better than all of these too, in my opinion. It must be some kind of EPA/emissions garbage preventing those from being sold here, because especially after doing this, I think it would do well here. But what do I know, I daily drive a land yacht.

To indtrouce this thread, I might need to go a bit wide in the story :)

Im 20 yo and I got my first own car in oktober 2015. When you have an own car, you automatically pay attention to how many other cars of your brand are around. I started to realized how many Skodas are driving around in Germany. The brand is selling more and more cars each year in Europe and around the world and they are pretty sucessfull. I mean, why wouldnt they. They take 5% Skoda Design, 5% Skoda Technology and 90% VW Technology and sell it for way less then what an equal VW would be.

I scrolled around the forum and read some topics about police cars today. And then I had a brainwave and wanted to know how the newest Skoda car would as a police car.

Yes, my photoshop abilities are absolutly terrible and I basically didnt put any afford in in^^ And its not even the point. I would like to know your infos about Skoda around the world. Are they seen in other contries (like U.S.?). They barely sell them outside of Europe and Asia I guess so I am exited for any answers.

And in general, what do you think about these cars? At least designwise, going into technical details would be kind of pointless ^^

(This is the car I own, not this one, but the model and Edition (Skoda Fabia III Edition)

Turn off AI Traffic Control in the ELS.ini. This helps when you turn on your siren and they going flying straight into other cars/obstacles for no reason

They really are great otherwise! We haven't had one come back (for the same concern) after the updated PTU gets installed. I think the Sport models look awesome, and these days you can dress them up any way you want. I dig this one, minus the roof rack!
