If we really want the FPIU to be realistic...

...we need a model that will randomly blow it's transfer case/PTU.   :teehee:

I work at a Ford dealership. I have lost count how many of these we have done on the AWD Utilities (and some civvi Explorers), but we average one every two weeks (granted we're in a busy area and serve a large number of departments). Today's was one of the more impressive ones, when it failed (pictured) it cracked the transmission shell too (not pictured). Fortunately all of the ones we have done have been covered by warranty!

Really would like to be inside one when it fails. Almost every time the officer says they didn't even know it happened initially. They drive them to the dealership like this half the time! It's silly that they fail like this/so often, but dang if it ain't impressive that they can keep going!

They really are great otherwise! We haven't had one come back (for the same concern) after the updated PTU gets installed. I think the Sport models look awesome, and these days you can dress them up any way you want. I dig this one, minus the roof rack!

Crossovers are certainly the most boring class of vehicle in general, but the Dodge Durango wins in the looks dept for CUVs in my opinion.  Dodge pretty much wins in all looks categories these days though...

Edit:

It's not fair Illusionyary. We don't get cool stuff like legit Nissan Patrols, Toyota Hilux, Holdens, Falcons, etc etc etc... All classes are cooler over there.

It just looks like a soccer mum SUV, there's nothing "policey" about it I guess. I dunno. I really don't like them, I'm not a fan of the new Chargers either. The 2012 is alright, but the 2015 is not pretty, it just looks like a squashed Dodge Dart.

That's a really nice car, I'd actually drive that.

Of course we all love the new Crown Vic.
