What's on my heart with LSPDFR 0.4.2

Featured Replies

It's a shame that a beautiful mod like this cannot even run more then 15 minutes straight.

Bugs in every corner with crash to desktop 5-6 times a day.

AmbientSpawn crashes happens randomly. Mods that suppose to work together just crushing each other

Really .. I want so much to play LSPDFR its just not possible.

Instead of adding new stuff, just fix what we have.

Just read aroound the internet how many people just cannot even play 0.4.2.

One time just let us get inside the police car and not think about every second if I crush the game or not.

If I can push this button or no.

You build something so amazing, mature, one of the best Mods ever created.

Don't you want people enjoy it? Just fix the bugs first .

Before we continue to new version with tons of new features and TONS of new frustrating bugs.

Thank you for your work, I hope that someday we can really enjoy LSPDFR without reading 15 times a day the log file.

I wish they'd release a 'lite' version without all the custom ambient cops to the honest. My brand new rig (Ryzen 7 2700x, RTX2080, 32GB DDR4 etc.) suffers from texture loss/pop-in when playing 0.4.2, because of all the ambient stuff, which 90% of the time, I don't even see or take notice of. Not to mention my fps is about 32fps in the city with 0.4.2 running, wihout it, I'm hitting 120+fps . Even my old rig could hit 45+fps in the city on 0.3.

Always happy to try and help with LSPDFR Support

I've started making skins - feel free to check them out HERE

you may disable ambient events on LSPDFR 0.4.x, if you want.

I tried this, and yes it does get rid of the ambient events, when calling for backup etc. or driving near a police station it will still load up the game by spawning mp peds, editing them, clothing them etc.

I meant, I wish there was a version which was like 0.3 in a way. Custom player model, but the option to have vanilla cop peds to save game memory.

This is sad news. Sounds like .4.2 has fucked a lot of mods. I might get back into this soon and do testing again. Is .4.1 version still available? Because that was working fine with around 100 mods or so.

Thing is, it's not like we added twenty new major features to 0.4.2.  We have been through LSPDFR 0.4 a lot and we have optimized its performance just about everywhere we can.  For the majority of people, LSPDFR 0.4.2 on its own is absolutely fine.  Similarly,  you can go on YouTube or even just have a look at the Gallery and such here and you can see the countless people that have no issues with LSPDFR 0.4.2 and other mods too.

We strongly recommend that people install LSPDFR 0.4.2 on a fresh, clean copy of GTA V and then see about installing other mods afterwards if everything is fine.  Obviously, with each release we fix a number of issues that are within our control and we've also been bringing more testers onboard as well to see what else we can do, but our hands are tied otherwise.

"You tell me exactly what you want, and I will very carefully explain to you why it cannot be."

Honestly, aside from the random plugin crashing that I can easily just start up again with console (I don't crash to desktop), I don't have issues running LSPDFR 0.4.2 at all, so eh. I do suffer a small FPS drop but compared to the payoff of ticketing parked vehicles I'm great.

Los Santos's Most Adorable Police Officer

Haven't had a problem with 0.4.2. Game runs smoothly with no plugin crashes or game crashes. Try and avoid installing high poly cars that have no LODs and make some setting changes to the lspdfr.ini file.

I also have not had issues with 0.4.2. I personally keep a file with mods i know work flawlessly and any future mods i add i do one by one for the purpose of keeping my game optimized and playable

Hey guys, I'm running an 8 year old processor and a graphics card from several generations back. I don't experience texture loss, I get decent enough fps everywhere and I rarely crash. You wanna know why? I don't overload my game with scripts. LSPDFR itself is very well coded, for what it is and unless you're running an absolute potato, it's probably not what's bringing your performance down. What does bring your performance down is installing a thousand little scripts that you don't really need. Just cut down on those and your game should run fine.
