v0.4 - So how is your FPS?

Featured Replies

I had some fps issues when I played for the first time yesterday.

Would like to compare my performance with others.

What is your fps counter telling you while being in a pursuit for example? My PC usually runs GTAV at over 60 fps but when playing LSPD:FR and having intense stuff like a pursuit happening the fps dips down to unstable 30. It surprised me to be honest.

40-50 when i spawn inside the apartment, and 80+ normal gameplay.. i`m happy 👍

What are your specs? I have an old i7 3770K and I'm wondering if it's bottlenecking too hard on my system or if the mod is simply loading more load onto the system while running. I can't remember if I ever had low fps on 0.3.

i7 8086K, 1080TI, 32 gig ram W10 64, and i have everything maxed out, the only place it lags is when i spawn in the apartment, there is something sucking fps when i look towards the fireplace, but otherwise it`s smooth and just the same as 0.3 for me!

Don't have the best pc: just normal without any mods: 60-65 fps.

But with LSPDFR, especially when in a pursuit: really dips down to 25 fps sometimes (in the city) and in BC about 40-35.

1050 Ti but with a crappy i7 870...

my i7 3770K isn't that bad for a game that old but it probably bottlenecks my 1080. 😞 I'm noticing it much more on 0.4 than 0.3 though.

Most of the time the FPS are fine but in some situations I notice severe FPS drops, e.g. when AI arrests a suspect and >5 AI officers are around.

I experience the biggest drops while driving fast.

In and around the city, my FPS keeps at a steady 55-60 FPS, out in the countryside the FPS drops a little bit (45-50 FPS) - But it's no dramatic change with LSPDFR or without LSPDFR. You just have to make sure your CPU & GPU can handle the extra load by tweaking your settings.

LSPDFR itself should not cause any significant FPS drop, unless you are in a demanding scenario such as a chase with many units. Please ensure that you run your tests without any other plugins/callouts loaded to ensure it is nothing else causing the slowdown. We've had numerous reports of bad performance where it turned out that another plugin was causing the issue.

Even when you call in a ridiculous amount of units, your FPS should still be reasonably high. A good example of this madness can be seen here: https://youtu.be/4ZswFgOkeL0?t=9290 in @STEVETHEGAMER's great first impressions.

Welp...my LSPD mod just crashed and my fps bumped back to 120 fps. I have really bad performance because of LSPD:FR and I don't know why.

0.4 + RDE: 60fps

0.4 + RDE + abuse of backup: 45-60fps

i7-2600k

GTX 1070Ti 8GiB

16GiB 1866Mhz CL9 DDR3 RAM

That's so strange...

my full specs are

i7-3770K
GTX 1080 (8GB)
16 GB DDR3 RAM

additionally the game is installed on a SSD.

How can I get fps under 30 fps?!? (I never really abuse backup btw. I have 5 units max in a pursuit + a chopper)

Thing is, that the fps only seems to drop a lot when pulling someone over, or when one of those 'special' (I guess) pursuits are going on. (when they take weird and special routes to shake the cops.) Might be just by me though, Idk.

i9-9900K (OC'd to 5.1GHz)

RTX 2080 (stock)

16GB 3200 DDR4 ram (OC'd to 3600)

60+ FPS at all times with GTA V set to ultra. 60 FPS because that's all I play in so there's no need to see more. I'm sure uncapped I make 150+. Everything saved to a Samsung 970 Evo M.2 NVMe SSD.
