v0.4 - So how is your FPS?

Spoiler

Found a fix to the performance issue as in FPS drops. I had massive stuttering / FPS drops.

Step 1 Go to your GTA V folder -> LSPDFR -> Police Scanner.

Step 2 Move all the files within this folder to GTA V -> LSPDFR -> Audio -> Scanner

Step 3 Go back to GTA V folder -> LSPDFR, delete Police Scanner folder.

I do not know how this folder can harm the performance so badly, but luckily that's the fix. Hope it will work for you all as well

This should fix it 🙂

  • You sir, you are who I wanna be with them specs.    Either way I have a i5-7500 and a GTX 1050ti and I get a constant 60fps on very high/ultra settings, it is the best the game has ever ran

60+ FPS at all times with GTA V set to ultra. 60 FPS because that's all I play in so there's no need to see more. I'm sure uncapped I make 150+. Everything saved to a Samsung 970 Evo M.2 NVMe SSD.

Jesus christ, you could run the matrix with that computer.

I have probably near a decade old AMD build with out of date memory and not even a SSD. I don't even have a legit monitor. Just an old samsung TV that does not even support 1920x1080 display in proper aspect ratio. It's only 1366 x 768 resolution recommended lol. And just as with 0.3 I get 60+ FPS with vanilla GTA V , and when I start LSPDFR it reduces to about 40's. Then when I go on duty I'm in the 30 area. Sometimes dips to 26-28 during intense calls, and goes up to 40 fps when out in Blaine County while on duty. I may have low console grade FPS but I'm just glad I can play and enjoy the mod. When I sink $1,000+ Into my new gaming PC I'm going to be excited to see how it feels to play LSPDFR with all my scrips/plugins/mods with a whopping 60-80 or higher FPS. It must be nice having new and powerful hardware!. However bare in mind even with the crap rig I have ( legit made with friends left over parts and or handed down when they upgraded ) LSPDFR can still be playable!.

My specs are:

Intel Core I5-9600K

NVIDIA RTX 2070 Armor OC 8GB

Crossair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2×8GB)

Dell Gamaing Monitor (1920×1080) @144hz Asus Prime z390-a

I get around 72 fps. Is it possible to get more fps with these specs?

  • 4 weeks later...

40 tops and I have an I7 and good GPU too lmao.

I'm getting about 40-50 in general which is actually an improvement for me.
I used to average only 20-30 with 0.3 though, and that's with much lower graphics settings and no graphics enhancements.
Go figure hah.

FPS is pretty shit, when LSPDFR is enabled im stuck with like 30 to 20 in the city especially when driving a car... literally unplayable, thought Im gonna get back into playing but due to 0.4 the game runs like a piece of shit

Well as I wrote in another topic post your log. You would do this already.

For me there is no lagging or heavy FPS impact.

Either there are some plugins or mods causen this or your sytem isn´t stable or it is to weak to play GTA 5 with mods.

Post your PC specs 😉

Well, I don´t know your settings,  but your system isn´t that new so don´t expect to play everything on high (if you do so)

Did you already set up your LSPDFR-settings for a better performance?

Also, 0.4 has a lot new features, so why everybody compare it with 0.31? If the settings of GTA and LSPDFR set up to the system, the game has a better performance as 0.31 I guess.

But  new features often have a little performance impact. That´s normal in most cases. You can´t add more things everytime without more work for your PC at a certain point.

What type of LSPDFR settings are you referring to?

Btw in 0.3 I was running very high with good fps so I do not think that this is the greatest issue

Just the normal LSPDFR.ini.

Again, you can´t compare an older version with less features with a newer version and more features.

What are your settings in GTA5 as example? Do you used many mod cars?

I do use mod cars, only police ones tho...

What changes would you suggest me in the .ini?

Is there a way to go back to 0.3?

Just now, rabbit1988 said:

Only if you have a Backup of 0.3

Do you have the preload of models in the ini set to false?

I see, no I haven't, what does this setting affect?

-Nigeria

That you don´t preload the models, so there is more memory.

Don´t misunderstand me now, but you complain about your perdormance. To set Main.PreloadAllModels to false is written in different topics about performance issues so many times. It´s also in the help and in a topic for first steps when you have problems. Maybe you should read a bit about the mod and what you can do and what features it has now and what settings you can change before complaining.
