Low gpu and cpu usage.

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I want to start with this:

I am an experienced user if it comes both to lspdfr modding and building pc's. I don't have any "junk" or anything like that. I just built a new system and I have got the same problem with lspdfr.

This is my system:
Ryzen 5 1600 3.8ghz.

G.skill TridentZ 3200mhz.
Palit Super Jetstream 1080ti.
Seasonic Focus Plus Platinum 550w.

The thing is:
When I play gta 5 without lspdfr turned on, both on pc and laptop (my laptop is an i7 4720hq and gtx 960m) I am getting a normal cpu and gpu usage and the frame rate is appropriate.
Only, if I lanuch the mod, both cpu, gpu usage and fps drop like creazy.
IT IS CAUSED BY LSPDFR OR ONE OF ALBO1125 MODS.
The mods probabble of doing that: LSPDFR, LSPDFR+, Arrest Manager or Police Smart Radio Stuff.

Is there any command that will allow me to have a normal gpu usage? It stays on 20-30%, the same with the cpu usage.
I am running on a 144hz display and I want to achieve the 144hz with lspdfr.
Thanks for the help from the mountain! XDDDDDDDDDDD 🙂

Sure I have, that's why I am saying that this is a LSPDFR problem for almost 100%. It does drop the fps like crazy even without any additional plugins. Any idea what to configure inside one of LSPDFRS files to make it run normaly?

I really don't know what to do. My fps locks on 37 fps. Can you please tell me how can I increase my gpu usage without bumping a resolution in lspdfr? I have got gtx 1080 ti and playing on 1080p with mods it gives me a 30% of usage and 37fps cap.

How can I increase that? Is there any command or anything like that? The vsync is not a problem, I know what it does and I know that it needs to be turned off. I want to run at 144hz monitor with 144fps not 37fps. PLEASE HELP! 🙂

I cannot replicate this. On a 1070 and i7 6700k I got 70fps with just GTA V (100% GPU and ~40% CPU). With just RPH running and no plugins loaded, same. With just LSPDFR and no other plugins (including no LSPDFR plugins), same.

Are you running in fullscreen? I do know that borderless window and windowed mode have caused performance issues for me.

Yes, I am running on fullscreen. I tried uninstalling and installing all the mods one by one. This is the thing that I have found out after doing that for a second time:

LSPDFR - causes low gpu usage, but doesn't lock my fps.
Installing doesn't metter which mod causes a lock under 60 fps. I have installed all of the mods just alone with LSPDFR. Installing more and more mods locks my fps at 37. It seems like a combination of mods causes that, but I don't know which one.

After I reinstalled all the mods, now my game is dropping below 20 fps and it's unplayable.

I also tried reinstalling the game yesterday, but nothing works.

I will reinstall the game once again and install just the mods you recommend me to. Maybe one of these mods screws the game and no metter what I do next it's still going to do that. All of the mods that I use are on the screenshots down below. I am also using officer audio variety, els, computer +, officer status and make peds calm again.

Police station armory is not something to consider. I just uninstalled it and it wasing causing any issues for me.

I also give you screenshots of my main gta 5 and lspdfr folder.

I can't add the screenshot with all x64e, x64f etc. There is only XInput1_4.dll on the bottom apart from all the x64 files.

I tried multiple combinations. I found out that Albo's plugins are causing 37 fps lock for 90%. I still don't know what causes my fps to go as low as 20.

I do need help though on how can I have more gpu usage. Normaly before I go into lspdfr I get arround 120fps on 50-60% of usage, when I go into lspdfr my frames drop to 37fps and lock the gpu usage at 20-30%.

Hello.

This is pretty much normal. This may not have to do with hardware. It will use as less resource as possible to achieve stability. Its how optimized its coded either the mods, RPH, or GTA V. You can have the best hardware in the entire universe and still run like crap if the script arent optimized with the hardware.

You can try overclocking but fair warning and use at your own risk as oc will bring wear and tear on your GPU and CPU.

I know how it works. I also tried to overclock and undervolt both did imrpove fps by +10 (if you do your own voltage curve it runs cooler and the gpu boost boosts the clocks higher).

That's why I am asking for a method, that would help the game use as much power as possible.

I do run my system oc'ed both gpu and cpu, I also have the high performance mode in windows and the best performance in nvidia control panel.

I do know, that this depends on the game itself as well as mods. That's why I am asking on a command that would improve the gpu usage (for example unlocking the fps to go as high as the card can produce) and or changing a code in the lspdfr or othermod itself in orther to atchiebe that. Just simply in order to go higher then just stability. Have a nice day! 🙂

Damn Im having the same issue. I refuse to accept this because when I did a clean reinstall weeks back, LSPD:FR with full plugins was running smooth 50, which is not 60 but I'd take it. Now? 41 in city with huge breaks. WTH is going on? I tried looking for clutter files or anything, can't find anything

And what really pisses me off is that some youtubers achieve NO FPS DROP. Like HOW?!

I really don't know what is going on. The lspdfr is limiting the 144fps from even thinking about reaching. The low gpu usage is caused by both LSPDFR and Alboo1125 plugins.

The simplest thing would be to edit one of the files and it will fix it, but nobody is reading this thread or if there are people who are more into making plugins reading this post, they are just either too lazy to help or they don't want to help us.

Have a great day! :)

I do understand what are you trying to tell me. Everything looks a different way though. Take this for example: I don't know which of the mods is causing that, either albo1125's of lspdfr itself and nobody is willing to help me. How the hell can people get smooth 60+fps with lspdfr when on my case I am beying limited to 37fps. Before launching lspdfr my game run's at 144fps ALL THE TIME! So there is a way to fix that, but nobody tell's me how to do it. Have a great day! 🙂

It's pretty easy to tell which is causing it. Just try playing with only LSPDFR installed (remove Albo's mods) and see what happens. Then install Albo's mods and see what happens. Like I said, I can't replicate the issue and it's not like I changed anything to get better FPS. It must be something specific with your setup and the only thing I can really suggest is trial and error until you figure it out.

Yes, but we both know that Albo1125's mods are essential. It's not about just this one specific setup. I have reinstalled the game numerous times on different devices. I have got the same problem on my pc (i changed the parts and reinstalled the windows several times in a past year, came through pentium g4560, gtx 950, rx 580, gtx 1070, ryzen 5 1600, gtx 1080 and gtx 1080 ti), the same on my laptop. That's why I don't know what can I do as I can't run lspdfr and play it normaly without these mods. Can anyone at least tell me which mod is suspected to be the most probbable?

Hi, have you tried to run on older GTAV Patch.

The latest patch caused performance issue with RPH in my game.

I rolled back to GTAV 1180 and RPH 0.57 and the performance is back up.

Disclaimer: I don't recommend to run LSPDR using older GTAV & RPH, since you'll not get support from the developers.

I was running on every single version of the game possible as I am using lspdfr since it came out (I was also playing it on gta 4). This will not work. 🙂
