Looking forward to what ever you have incoming, but I do have a few questions.

Are you planning on working on any of the following?

Vapid and Merit w/ LCPD Vector - Caine's lack some features, the Merit has that odd black line around it, and they just aren't up to par with your work now. I know his Merit isn't unlocked, but maybe you can work with Harper's Unmarked Merit?

Stinger - I could really use a livery-enabled version of the Stinger, no matter which light setup you choose, though the Vector would be most appreciated.

Landstalker w/ LCPD Vector - You can tell I really like the Vector setup. I believe you said you were thinking of this one, but I'm not certain.

I think what I'll do is finish up the Vincent updates in exactly the same spirit as the originals and then I'll look at alternative configurations. A slicktop/Mx7000 variable wouldn't take too long at all.

A (multi-livery) Vapid with an LCPD Vector? Is that not exactly what Caine released? I'll think about a Merit but at the moment I don't have my hands on a mapped model.

Landstalker with LCPD Vector will come along. I've got everything ready, I just need to start actually doing it.

Stinger is an interesting suggestion though.

Technically, but the adviser is non-functional, Plus you've planned on making some little tweaks to the Vapid's tail/brake/signal lights that I liked the sound of.

I've also made some changes to to the indicator and breaklights of the Vapid cruiser again. If anyone uses the current Vapid mods I have out, the taillights are attached to the back of the light and the indicators are attached to the side section. What I've done is attach the bottom of that light to the indicators and the top to the taillights, more closely resembling recently model crown vics.

The Vapid is low priority, though, since it really doesn't have any deal breakers.

Also, if I can be a pest, I'd like to see a full slicktop Buffalo with a full array of lights. I'm thinking the basic FIB setup, plus two in the front window, and one on each mirror, or something like that.

Nooo I should be studying nooooooo:

Looking good, I remember someone making a "LAPD" version of Lt.Caine's Buffalo with the MX7000. An Arjent makes it even more promising.

Arghhhh having this stupid problem with collisions again that I mentioned on the top of page 10. It seems like the collision for any part I add to the vehicle (for example, any of f5544's parts) causes issues. I've put them in as either extras on some vehicles or miscs on others and they still cause this weird bug where the collission doesn't seem to actually be around the object and just frustrates the rest of the collisions in the file, so that when I should at one place the bullet impact appears elsewhere.

I'm not sure if it's something about the axes or the positioning in the hierarchy. I'm pretty sure it's not the material and i don't think it's the actual collision mesh itself. I wish I could figure it out though.

The only alternative is to delete the collisions for those parts but then you can just walk through the lightbar and rambar like they aren't even there. Maybe it's something to do with how i'm importing them into Zmodeler or something along those lines.

If any modder wants to have a looksy and see if they can help me figure it out, feel free to flick me a PM.

that's because i made these for a car and rip it off the car for open source.

that's why some collision doens't work.

try making new ones.

i am sorry but i've stopped with modding. no time for it anymore.

Unfourtunately the issue I described earlier which I've been thinking is related to collisions is still holding pretty much all of my projects up. The only thing that is finished is the updated slicktop Vincent and that's because it has no additional parts that need collisions.

I have most of this week off so I should be able to keep working.

Also f5544: That's a shame man, but we do really appreciate all the great projects you have put out as well as all the really useful dev resources you've made and released.

if there's anything i can help. for small things i have time. but i do not make any mods.

whats the problem with you collisions, a collision is a small box or object, it's a simple object which you can make out of the standard primitives.

did you change the axes of the collissions?

otherwise you can send me the file and i will take a look at it. pm me then.

greets,

Frank

Ah sorry :(

Still hitting the wall with the modded parts I'm using on the Buffalo and I've gotten some advice from f5544 and we're still stuck unfourtunately. I can probably make some compromises and be able to release something that's still decent so that's what I'll aim to do. I've just had a commitment from last week that finished yesterday so now I'm free again. I have been doing some gta related stuff in that time though but that was just some vehicle textures for another community. Hopefully next week will be productive for me and I'll get my shit together.

Hey man, no pressure obviously. This is a hobby, I just am on here too much during work. I figured you were still studying! Which is more important. I'm a patient man...hell we all have to be waiting for GTAV...I'd rather you put out a great product on your own time :)

Aha! Good news! I've figured out what was holding up the Vincents from being ready to go so version 2.0 of the Police Vincent slicktop and the Police Vincent Streethawk will be released over the weekend. Hopefully I've also figured out the problem that I'm experiencing with the Buffalo too. Fingers crossed.

e: and it seems the Buffalo is now progressing again too.

Okay so the LSPD Buffalo is finished, all I need to do is finalise a new set of liverys for it (Los Santos PD in LAPD style, Bone County Sheriff in LACSO style, San Andreas Highway Patorl in CHP style and a more simple LCPD black and white livery).

The only thing I need to decide on for the Vincents is the size of the lightbar. Here it is at the moment:

vincent2.png

I'm worried that the lightbar is slightly too big (probably both in length and in height).. I think it's bigger than what I had on the first version. If you agree I'd have to resize it but that wouldn't take too long. What do you think?

Just wanted to chime in and say good work again man, really solid model. I look forward to the day I add it to GTA V...whenever that is...

What happened with that S/mx7000 vapid cruiser?
