Considering how active I am in the simulator genre, it speaks volumes that this is the first time I've heard of this game. There's no hype or build up for this game, just one thread in the Steam forums.   Thus far, only one firefighting game, Notruf 112, has been decent/good.  Every other one has sucked.  At this point, I wish these small publishers and developers would stop milking the emergency brand of games and just accept 'We don't have the ability to make this game look and play the way you want it to, so we won't bother.'

Say that to 90% of the German simulation games.

When the whole of the page selling the product is a fire engine in a garage with an accompanying video of said fire engine in the same garage, I don't hold much faith for the game.

You're lucky, some of us had the misfortune of buying it which wasn't as bad as the misfortune of playing it. Id nearly pay them again to take the game back off me

I wonder what was worse, Firefighters 2014 or Firefighters The Simulation. Both were terrible beyond belief.

Never played Firefighters 2014 thank god. Firefighters the Simulation was the first Firefighter game I played. cost me €50 on the Playstation Store and IMO should of retailed for €5

Most, if not all of these piss poor simulators should only be sold for $5.  It still makes me laugh that Enforcer is still $20.

Never played it, is it shocking? Only ever played PlayStation and the odd few games that my piece of **** laptop can handle. Age of Empires, Emergency 2012 (wasn't too bad) & recently 911 Operator which again is not too bad.

Firefighters 2014 wasn't the best, but it some what scratched my itch. Still a bad game, but when there's nothing else you're kinda stuck.

My biggest issue with it was that fires didn't dissipate.  Granted, this might've been my computer at the time not having the power for it, but still.  That game was terrible.   That's another reason I despise these no-name developers and publishers. They push out these garbage games and never give updates.  Sure, some may give one or two updates, but it's rare, and they often don't fix core issues.

I doubt anything will come as close as the demo of Flame Sim to fulfilling the firefighting genre.

Notruf 112 needs the same love as OMSI 2. Screenshots look promising.

Notruf 112 definitely needs some work, but I do love it.

Whose station is just a huge empty warehouse with just 1 truck parked in the middle of it? 

Being a firefighter is not simply a job like any other. It is a calling!
When that's the first line of your description, I immediately click onto something else.
What is it calling? Is a firefighter a cell phone company employee? Is he that one guy on the bus who keeps his phone on loudspeaker and screams into it?

I'm very confused.
Or, what it means is plainly obvious and i'm just incredibly stupid.

It's the fire department that calls you and asks if there's a fire!

I can just imagine being on hold for the fire department now for some reason...
