.dll editing

Featured Replies

Alfredo Helper is a handy script I often use, which clears your inventory and gives you basic weapons that an officer loadout should have.

However, it equips you with the Combat Pistol instead of the Pistol, which I would prefer. How would I go about editing the .dll to change that?

when programmers release scripts they encode their software, and make it so other people can't change it. So in the short run, there is no "good" way to change it

That said, there are some bad ways to do it (decompilers etc), but it's a super dick move.

However. If there's an .ini you can do it that way

You can use a trainer to manually select your weapons. Also, the maker of the mod might have updated it to allow customization.

there is no .ini, and yes decompiling it would be a dick move. as to why I didnt mention them.

Unfortunately, it seems like Zach has zero interest in continuing updates on the script.  He said future plans were to allow us to choose which weapons it gave us, but this script hasn't been touched since it was released.

Not always. But the process of converting source code into machine code or IL code (making the .DLL) means that it is difficult to make modifications to. This is just the nature of compiled code.

better way of putting it.
