Featured Replies

Everyone laughed when I said 10,000 people bought the game for mods

Well over 30,000 people have signed the petition so far. So hah!

Done. I also think a tweeting campaign is in order. (@rockstargames)   This is something very odd with Take2. Many gaming companies (Especially open world games it would seem) are fairly ope

Petitions do nothing. You aren't going to win over a multi-million dollar company.   What you people need to be petitioning is having the retards over at OpenIV stop forcing users to uninsta

So wait, we're all mad about the same thing, but me providing files directly from my computer, that will allow everyone to continue playing the mod that the community is based on is not allowed?

This is completely irrelevant to this topic. I'm not sure how RagePluginHook was even related in the first place.

Feel free to PM me with any questions, but it has always been and will always be against our rules to redistribute files that do not belong to you. Them being on your computer does not make them yours.

.... How is what I said irrelevant... And ya kinda need RagePluginHook to run lspdfr. If Steam auto updated your game, RPH 52 no longer works. if you update to RPH 53, even if you downgrade your GTA, the new version of RPH still won't work. I really don't understand how what I said is irrelevant, or unrelated.

This topic is about the petition to Take Two to allow OpenIV. RagePluginHook is not involved in this discussion in anyway, neither is LSPDFR.

Please make this the last post regarding this, anything further will be removed.

Ok,

We all had our laughs.

We all had our rages.

We all said what we think and or believe is true.

We all made up stupid lies  and said stuff which other people believe now.

So can we stop overreacting?

LSPDFR isn't dead.

All the other mods work just fine.

All that has come to an end is the development of openiv.

Just had to say this, it's getting out of hand. That aside I think the change.org petition is doing great and it should forfill what we want.

i think we need open iv to install our LSPDFR mods so i think that will impact LSPDFR

this is great love to see everyone standing up to this with these numbers and negative reviews on steam hopefully take 2 and rockstar understand that modding isn't about hiding in a basement fucking with they're online players its about the desire to create and build a world or experience that is tailored to the single player that enjoys doing more than robbing banks killing hookers and stealing cars or gun running i came across this website with the full intention of law enforcement and the beautiful cars and skins the talented people here create to them i say thank you, to take 2 i say fuck you and thats my thoughts on the matter good to see others feel the same.

Yeah well. OpenIV's lack of developement makes it vulnerable to any changes Rockstar would decide to do. Just as Scripthook no longer getting updated could end in a disaster down the line, unless everyone manages to stay off from updating their games. There's a lot on the line in that sense.

Whatever backlash they got coming, they do deserve it. I don't see it as getting out of hand. Not the way they're treating this.

On another note, overall reviews are now mixed:

I guess this is why @Jeff Favignano isen't playing LSPDFR anymore *sigh*

If he has any bit of a brain, he'd know nothing is affected. You can still mod the game, although we're just waiting on a ScriptHook update to get things back and running.

I've read somewhere that "big" YT channels (aka probably the youtubers making their living out of their YT channel) would stay away from GTA V mods from now on to avoid any complication with T2 considering their needlessly agressive stance towards mods.

I personally don't know if that's a good thing to do or not regarding their YT channel, but I'm not gonna judge, it's kinda understandable, considering how  idiotic irrational T2 is I could see them actually going after youtubers showcasing mods as well.

I would be extremely surprised if they went after youtubers. I can understand taking down videos of people using mods in online, or even using 3rd party multiplayer mods, but not just using mods in singleplayer. They would only hurt themselves if they did and I can't see any monetary gain by doing so. As it stands, those videos are only selling more copies of the game.

The only ones who are going to "boycott" Rockstar games are modders like us. And lets be realistic, only about half of us are actually going to do it. Its going to boil down to what...? Less than one percent of Rockstars profits? We can tell ourselves that we can make a difference but they have us outgunned and outnumbered in every way. It baffles me that those freakin assholes would make this much effort to ruin the game for such a small slither of the games demographic. I personally will never give those pricks another cent of my money, but lets face it, its the end of an era whether we do or not.

99% of people who claim they will boycott T2 and R* will conveniently forget their boycott as soon as RDR2 is released.
