Terror Attack in London

Featured Replies

At around 2017-06-03 22:08 BST a van hit several people on London Bridge. People also reported three men getting out of the van with large knives and stabbing people heading toward Borough Market.

Armed Police, British Transport Police, and Counter Terrorism Special Forces Officers have responded. Air Ambulance units and London Ambulance Service members in ballistic gear. The RNLI and Police are also searching the river.

At least one victim has been confirmed dead and two attackers have been shot.

Im sorry to hear this, it will continue to happen until the liberal brainwashed  are removed from govn.  Im not sure how the citizens feel in those countries, but i see alot of them complaining on forums. The US was heading in the same direction with Clintons and Obama, hopefully Trump will continue to rip us from the globalist direction. Putin hates globalist-Trump hates globalist: seems a common unity should be formed. Human Rights Organization needs to be torn down and replaced, NATO needs to be replaced, or at lease Cleaned out.

Its easy for people to complain about killing terrorist, until they are the ones being affected.

It seems common sense has left the world.

Ofcourse this is just my opinion on things.

Sadly this is becoming a common occurence in big cities around the UK and Europe. You can't go out and enjoy yourselves anywhere these days without fear of being attacked. Is it a coincidence that there is an increase in these attacks while an election in the UK is currently taken place? Rock am Ring in Germany was evacuated the other day due to a potential terror incident and this will unfortunately continue to happen. Something needs to be done sooner rather than later.

Its unfortunate bc there are so many beautiful things to see there.  So much history to explore and admire, but they are ruining it for everyone.

Good new is no officer has been killed, however he is in hospital receiving treatment for his inuries. On the other hand, 3 suspects have been killed, 6 civilians have been killed and 20 currently needing hospital treatment. There were also reports of the terrorists wearing suicide vets which turned out to be fake.

London Bridge train station also closed by British Transport Police until the investigation is over.
Now confirmed to be at least 48 people killed injured.

48 people? Are you sure you're not mixing the Manilla attack in there too (which wasn't a terror attack by any means)?

Regardless, this is absolutely disgusting and I'm glad the perpetrators were caught/killed quickly. It's a huge shame that several civilians were killed beforehand though.

Don't spread false news. 7 people have been killed, and all train stations have been reopened.

All three terrorists were killed within 8 minutes of the attack.

rom what I knew, London Bridge was confirmed to be closed.
And yes, I meant to say 48 injured there, sorry.

As a Londoner, I was very impressed by the emergency services' responses. All suspects killed within 8 minutes, and many casualties treated by LAS under difficult circumstances. The UK's police are really struggling to cope with budget cuts at the moment, so their ability to deal with major incidents has been very impressive.

I also think that it's worth singling out the first officer who arrived on scene for particular praise. The first responder was a British Transport Police officer who took on all three attackers using only his baton, which potentially prevented more people being injured.

I just hope that people realise that these attacks aren't just random acts of violence; they're part of a cycle whereby islamophobia increases, people are divided and discriminated against and more people are driven towards extremism. Don't give them what they want by taking it out on innocent people.

In the end, these attacks aren't going to do much good if they're trying to scare Londoners. This city survived the Luftwaffe, the London riots and the IRA. A couple of misguided fools with knives isn't worth spilling your pint over (literally, in one bloke's case).

Amen to that.

Well said!

I have to give major credit to my colleagues in the emergency services in London. I work for YAS (Yorkshrie Ambulance Service) and I've been talking with a met officer who came up for some training yesterday and he said that the AFO's (Authorised Firearms Officers) neutralized the threat in 8 Minutes. Thats solid work! However, we can't handle anymore cuts to our services.
