Featured Replies

hi so im like 500mb under my limit but I have like 10 fps which is really annoying please help me here are some Screenshots, videos and my specs

CPU: AMD-A6-6400K 4.4ghz (over clocked)

GPU: Radeon HD Graphics 2GB (over clocked)

RAM: 8GB But Using 6GB

When I said 10 I meant 2-5 Fps :D

Hi

For one, RAGE takes 10 FPS off your normal FPS (adleast) before anything else. LCPDFR will take off another ten, and with the mods we will say 15. There is 25 FPS already gone from your normal fps. from the specs given you only have radeon HD graphics witch if im correct is just like integrated graphics from Intel. The only thing I would suggest is lowest graphics, and just testing it.

Can you clarify which GPU you have? Radeon HD graphics is an entire series so doesn't tell us much.

AMD Radeon HD 8470D

Well for one this isn't a dedicated graphics card.. this is integrated into the CPU, which is terrible for gameplay with triple A games.

ik but I overclocked it to 2gb so it should run better but it dosent

one does not simply overclock the VRAM, and I doubt you can overclock an intergrated graphics card anyhow. bottom line, you need to upgrade to play gta anywhere above 10 fps. period

edit ive ran gta with a GTX 650, and getting 20fps max. upgraded to a 960 2gb version, and i was still getting only 40fps 50 max. GTA is a very intensive game, not any old laptop will run it.

EDIT 2: i now use a 1070 8gb edition and run solid 60 fps unmodded. modded I get terrible fps due to CPU.

Sorry to break it to ya, but you'll need more than that to run any modern AAA game, period.

TURN VSYNC OFF

Not sure how that affects things, other than the rare times where he might actually get a decent framerate filled with tearing.

VSync being enabled causes some computers to suffer major FPS loss. Do some research.

Never seen that before. Even on my old GT 740 system, I never noticed any difference with even with Fraps FPS, ingame benchmark FPS nor MSI Afterburner had any drops.

All-in-all, GTA V's VSync option is terribly optimized. It's best to use a 3rd-party or straight from your NVIDIA settings if you need VSync for whatever reason. From personal experience, once I turn on VSync I lose ~10 fps if not more, making GTA V barely runnable as my computer is terrible as is.
