Hey there, been thinking a little about callouts we've not really seen (or tweaks/expansions/twists to callouts we have).

 

My suggestions.

 

1. Assistance required to secure a crime scene.

 

This could be anything from clearing people from a murder scene so as not to contaminate evidence, getting people out of a store/appartment that has been robbed right through to getting peds to a safe place because of a fire or potential terrorist attack. All could play out seperate ways from those willing to comply and those refusing to, also with potential in certain scenarios for you to be caught up in the incident (if there is one).

 

2. Security requiring assistance.

 

I know that callout does exist, but it's usually one man versus one guard. Why not have several suspects outnumbering guards? maybe a drunk ped  punching people outside a nightclub or a group of peds causing trouble amongst another group of peds at the stadium etc?

 

3. locating a suspect at an "event".

 

Think wanted felon with a possible grudge versus a politician making speech/appearance outside an official building. You have a description, is the person there in a small crowd and are they a threat?

 

4. suspicious vehicle/package.

 

Again this exists but it's usually just stolen/abandoned car. Would be nice to see a properly parked car or one hidden away where you have to work out/decide if it is safe to approach and move on or a trap waiting to blow.

 

5. Possible sighting of a body in the river or forrest/mountain.

 

Is it a body or is it a pile of trash? is there anyone looking suspicious in the area? if it is a body, has the person taken ill or been left there? can they be saved?

 

6. Warrant to search property.

 

We have burglaries and silent alarms, stores with interiors etc so perhaps  the ability to go in and look for items of interest such as stolen property, drugs, counterfeit money etc?

I know a new callout mod by @PNWParksFan is being made right now called "Coastal Callouts" I wonder if he will include some of these.

There might be something to do with finding a dead body in a waterway, but I haven't written one quite like that yet. The others aren't really topical. 

 

In general I would suggest that if you're interested in seeing a particular callout in the game, that you work on making that callout yourself! It's pretty easy to learn how to write basic callouts, you learn a lot, and it's fun. There's lots of info in the API Development forum on this site. 

I'll look into it eventually lol, Youtube has only just got me back into the video scene, i always had the plan of eventually expanding that into the modding scene seeing as i also used to study 3d modelling and game design as well (not that it's much use when you have to relearn everything after 10 years of not doing anything related to it haha!), had a quick look, will get more into it in free time, looks achieveable :)

I'm going to be getting back into plugin development at the end of January. I'll look into making these if no-one else has.
