Infinite loading screen? - Updated RAGE Plugin Hook/AdvancedHook

Posted on RPH forums but I've yet to get a response.

I've been playing since the last GTA update on a reverted version of GTA, but saw that RAGE Plugin Hook was updated today. I downloaded and installed it, went through the setup no problem, and reverted back to the most recent version of GTA. I also saw that AdvancedHook.asi was outdated and recently updated, so I downloaded and installed that as well. RAGE Plugin Hook launches GTA just fine, but I get stuck in an infinite loading screen. If I open the terminal in the loading screen, I can see that LSPDFR and all of my plugins loaded successfully. I did some reading online and deleted my save files and changed gta.exe to high priority in task manager, but I still can't get the game to load.

Edit: Now installed the RPH .49 and having the same issue. If I launch GTA without RPH, the game crashes after sitting in the story mode loading screen for a minute.

Edit 2: Anyone? I've tried changing the DX version, changing grass detail, deleting all my savefiles, installing new save files, changing gameconfig.xml, updated GPU drivers, and verified game integrity at least 3 times. I have no clue what else to do, and I think I've run out of forum solutions to try. Losing my freaking mind over this.

Can confirm having the same problem with non-steam version. Tried disabling plugin loading at startup.

Have you tried launching game with GTAVLauncher? Does it launch? It spits up "Breakpoint reached" for me, "fixed" by removing all mod files from game installation, gonna try to figure it out.

Every patch needs a new mods folder, unfortunately you need to delete your mods folder and remake a new one, then readd all your textures and models and stuff.

hey t0y, sorry im pretty new to all of this (and PC gaming in general), is it just a matter of deleting your mods folder from your GTA V folder and then start a new one in open iv. Again apologies if this is a stupid question.

Try this...

Open OpenIV, tools... ASI Manager.... then Uninstall ASI Manager...

Tried that, no joy.

Sorry this took so long.

I tried disabling plugin loading at startup, tried disabling the mods folder, just does not seem to work. Reverted to previous version, going to wait for someone else to come up with a solution.

I too can confirm I am having this issue as well.

I found this thread & tried all the suggestions above. None worked for me either.

I've just reverted to RPH 0.47 & GTA V 1.0.877.1 as that was the last version that worked just fine for me.

Doesn't OpenIV do that for you when GTA updates? I don't remember what the prompt was, exactly, but I know it had me update some folder.

Where did you get RPH .47? It's no longer available on the website.

I deleted and reinstalled my mods folder. Game launches now but cars in mods folder don't spawn. Thread regarding that issue is here

Note that this disables things like SNT...

I haven't figured out a way to get the game to work otherwise... even though I prefer to use SNT..

This WORKED! Thank you lol!

I'm now waiting for Albo to update his mods for the new update but this at least got me to load the game and some mods so I knew it wasn't completely broken! Thanks!

Nice nice, but now my textures and car doesn't show. Any other fix?

At 29.03.2018, i got the problem myself.

Though this is an old tread people with the issue will still be directed to this post - therefore i am sharing what fixed it for me.
The problem is, that after game update the mods folder does not get updated, but the update folder does. You'll therefore have to make a new one, and replace the old one.
Even smarter, for those that still uses OpenIV, (but just turns off the internet when opening to prevent the update which destroys the program) - it has a feature which notifies you of this - and offers to update it for you. - i did that, and it worked for me - as well as going to the ASI Manager (located under Tools in OpenIV), and updating the ASI loader.

Keep in mind this is an old tread.

I know this is an old thread, but saw a video on youtube that worked for me:

(screenshot of message on OpenIV)

(credit to the maker of the video, obviously)

This might delete all your mods saved in this location, so be careful.

Hope this helps!
