My LSPDFR focused Youtube channel (Mrcento)

Hey guys, long time reader and youtube watcher, fairly recent LSPDFR player and even more recent LSPDFR youtuber here haha!

2 weeks ago i started putting up videos so the channel is still well into the "finding its feet" stage of development both in terms of content, production and quality (both in terms of what is on screen as well as improving my setup). I'll slowly be ironing out the issues (and i'm well aware of plenty, particularly audio related but also finding the balance between render quality and file size on an internet that up to now takes up to 8hrs to upload, again something i will be sorting and not having to concern myself about so much meaning i can throw everything into pure production quality, rather than keeping in mind that i need to get it uploaded sometime that week and deciding how much i can realisticly drop render quality to make the file a bit smaller. I used to study 3d modelling, animation and film production over a decade ago and gave it up, doing these videos has got me back into that but is the first time i'd even looked at editing software etc in that time so it's all a relearning experience as well as trying to remember my old "tricks", but believe me the quality issues will be sorted! (they annoy me way too much not to sort).

Anyways, i just thought i'd put a post up to let people know i'm out there if they need an LSPDFR fix on those winter evenings, hope people may enjoy the vids or give me feedback/pointers/advice on things the like/dislike or ideas and the like! but most importantly of all, hope people enjoy them, i sure have fun making them :)

Just a quick Channel update as well, This will be the last video on the old audio "setup" and "methods" i've been using. Spent many hours trialing new things and (re)learning techniques in order to make the next steps forward in overall quality. Hopefully next episode onwards will see a good first step onto a better, more consistent and cleaner "sound". Visually i have things in the pipeline to improve loss and remove the odd little glitch that appears in certain lights (traced to the screen capture software). And there's possible news in the pipeline i hope will help the channel grow! :)

Thank you very much! :)

Haha, by a strange twist of coincidence... said accent is Dundee, Scotland (though i can't go full Dundonian on videos because nobody would have a clue what i'm saying :D) but, Dundee is also the real "home" of Grand Theft Auto. The original game was developed in the 1990's about 15 minutes from my house. The accent might be a touch out of place in an American game setting but at least i can claim it's spiritually accurate for the franchise! :P

Well said, I have nothing more to add!

hey :D i just wanted to stop by and say how much i'm enjoying your videos. you've got some good content and i think the quality is just fine!! good idea to get more views is to do state patrols. everybody likes seein their own state in a video. just make sure ya put the state name in the video title so its easy to find in the search :whistling:remember there are k9 patrols and partner patrols you could do as well. keep up the good work :woot:

Thank you, and thanks to everybody who has watched and those who have subscribed!, It genuinely means a lot that people enjoy the videos and that makes it 100% worthwhile for me.  More than anyone will ever know in fact. There's so many great people in the community and knowing the videos are well recieved makes me glad i didn't end the channel after around episode 4 of lspdfr when that, along with other series on the channel was a battle to even get a single view and i was totally disheartened. I have fun recording and even editing, but when nobody watches then it's hard not to feel that it's just a waste of time, effort and feel that you're simply just not good enough. The people that watch and those who interact make a channel just as much as the person creating videos and if nobody watches, nobody enjoys then there's no channel, just like there's no channel if there's no upload, both go hand in hand. I can't even begin to thank enough those who take the time, gave my videos a chance and offered encouragement.

R.E the quality, The big names of long established lspdfr youtubers are so good at what they do, if people want to watch a quality patrol (both in content as well as visual and audio), they have them as go to guys. They've been doing it a hell of a lot longer, have the experience and respect built up and rightly so. Meanwhile, episode 1 of my LSPDFR series wasn't just episode 1 of a series for me, or of the channel, it was my first ever gaming video. I'd never put a video up of any gameplay, let alone narrate or try to roleplay or tell a story. And whilst i may be a former digital media student and it's fair to say the whole editing side wasn't new to me, i hadn't even looked at editing software for nearly 10-11 years, and what i used to use is all redundant now anyway, so aside from the basics is still very much a "learning as i go" process visually and audio wise with a setup that is nowhere close to ideal. I think where i am from a starting point isn't bad, and it's great that people are happy with quality, but as i iron out little issues, improve the setup and get more confident, experienced and familiar with doing this, i honestly feel there's a hell of a lot of improvemnt i can make, and that's something i'll never stop seeking because if you don't reach as high as you can, it will never be as good as it could be and even the best in the game should never stop trying to improve. I can only aspire to get as close to those guys as i can for quality and be thankful anyone watches! :P

Anyway, this has been wordier than i started out the post to be....  genuinely, thank you all so much, you guys rock and i hope i can keep making videos you enjoy!

Mark.
