Hey man, I am on your track. I built a console out of wood, bought a toughbook, and have a 105" projector screen, but I never finished my console, then moved into an apartment, so I use it, but it is just plain wood. I would LOVE to have this console. I already have a steering wheel, but if you could sell the other part separately i will buy the first perfectly working one

Im still working on pricing at the moment, but I'll keep everyone in the loop

Update: I've begun putting the console together, i still need to pick up a few things for it. I'm also in the process of coding my controller, but I have a quick little demo and some pics of the conso

Always pondered with this concept after seeing the many home cockpits and home traincabs around, Glad somebody finally thought of the idea,  The concept sounds great, and i would definatly be interested in buying one should it come to reality,  Maybe we could see full CVPI setups for LSPDFR

So I started bolting the console together to make testing easier. I'm waiting on an adapter for my mic and a few other things. Once its all put together and set up the way I like it i'm going to pull the electronics and accessories out and bedliner the whole thing for that nice textured matte black look. I'm working on putting a video together running a whole patrol utilizing the controls on the console. Below is the layout for the current switches;

Switch one: Light activation

Switch two: Siren tone 1 (Wail)

Switch three: Siren tone 2 (Yelp)

Switch four: Siren tone 3 (Piercer)

Switch five: Air horn

dude one easier way of linking these together because i have given this avenue a lot of though when ELS for IV was at its height one praytel is the fact that in your pic it looks like essentially like this DSD Button box for sim racing they sell just the board where you can hook up switches rotory encoders (dial siren selection) and buttons up to 64 buttons on a single board but you have a small problem here "as GTA V can only detect one controller at a time" essentially you would need a program x360ce to detect this then imo the best way to do this is a program called xpadder the reason is keyboard to controller binding for use of access because you need to map the controls from the .ini of els siren mastery ect... plus the radio at this time not feasible no way to incorporate it just yet a button box more feasible

just a little thought plus the program xpadder sells for $10 and the reason for x360ce is the fact that GTA V can only use one controller at a time unless in the x360ce you set it to combine controllers into one so you have two controllers acting as one just some thought and as for a simple console box  http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/bud-industries/PC-11491/377-1960-ND/439698 their is a box that would encompass switches and buttons all together

To each is his own i thought about this project back when IV had ELS7.0 as i patrol with a wheel (G27) and for walking a basic controller i thought about using a button box and all that i listed above was the way i was going to do it but just note that if you choose that box that i linked you'll need some time of mounting solution just a thougth

My controller isn't recognized as a controller, just an addition to the keyboard, so there are no issues with not recognizing multiple controllers.

any updates on this?

My plugins by me are on this site in addition to my own site as well.

I apologize, things have been busy, I haven't had a chance to do anything else yet. But what I've completed so far is functional. Unfortunately It won't reach full potential until ELS is released.

Whats up all? I apologize for the delay on updates, works been crazy the past few weeks.

I'm currently working on integrating a Feniex 4200 Mini into my system to control different functions. I've also sourced a real Havis console (removed from an old patrol car at work) to move everything into. Once i get it all up and running i'll post a new video.

The photo below is a little something i'm tinkering with using 12v to trigger a lower voltage signal to ultimately allow the 4200 mini to function with my controller. The 4200 mini runs on 12v, which is too much voltage for my controller. The 4200 switches will trigger the relays (shown on the left) which will send a lower voltage signal to my controller (in theory) to activate it without frying it.

Don't mind the priority mail box everythings attached to, i'm just using it for pre-planning at the moment haha

So now that ELS is released, I've decided to change directions on my project a bit. Instead of a whole console setup, I'm working on a controller setup (similar to a cen-com, 4200, federal smart siren) to operate the functions to keep the cost down. Here's a prototype i'm working on putting together to have 3d printed.

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Love the new simple console man! I think it would be cool if you could make the words to the light the button toggles (i.e. wig wag) light up when they are switched on.

I figured I could produce this a lot cheaper and quicker than a whole console setup. I'll still offer the console as well, but this is the focus for now. I'm also working on a mock radio as well to use with the vocal dispatch mod.

Well yeah I was referring to the button controller thing you most recently posted, sorry for the confusion!

I got what your saying, I'm looking into the back lighting as well. However this will utilize momentary switches for the prototype, not on/off switches so i'd need to come up with a workaround for that.

I just now stumbled upon this, and I can say with pretty decent certainty that I haven't been this hype for something in YEARS. This would be so immersive, it wouldn't even be funny.:woot:

This + G27 wheel, pedals, shifter + VR would be epic haha

I was thinking triple monitors and a crown vic seat to top it off, haha

thats the goal, I'm looking to build a complete simulator complete with a crown vic seat, wheel, pedals, and the console. Like i said in one of the comments I'm working on a mock radio with a working mic too for the vocal dispatch mod.

I know this post is like 3 years old and what not, but have you made any progress on this project? I had an idea to do something like this but never got working on it.
