gingeybread got a reaction from JClem in (WIP) LSPDFR/ELS Driving Simulator (Featuring a working console setup)I was thinking triple monitors and a crown vic seat to top it off, haha
thats the goal, I'm looking to build a complete simulator complete with a crown vic seat, wheel, pedals, and the console. Like i said in one of the comments I'm working on a mock radio with a working mic too for the vocal dispatch mod.

gingeybread got a reaction from TheDmac in (WIP) LSPDFR/ELS Driving Simulator (Featuring a working console setup)I have a project in the works I thought some of you fellow whackers would enjoy. I'm working on a complete driving simulator with a functional console setup for the ultimate realism, it'll work along side with LSPDFR and ELS (When released). Essentially it'll be a USB steering wheel with pedals and a 12" Havis console with normal and momentary rocker switches that will activate ELS functions via USB. I'm also looking into being able to utilize smart controllers (Such as the Feniex 4200) for the ultimate realism. I build law enforcement vehicles for a living and have dealer accounts with multiple industry manufacturers and may look into selling these pre-built console setups down the road if it works out. I'm currently in the process of purchasing all the necessary parts needed for the build, but unfortunately I won't be able to do much until ELS is released. Stay tuned for updates!

gingeybread reacted to pledge8236 in Check out ELS for V!Can't someone in the admin team sort this out now? I am like everyone really looking forward to this coming out and the updates posted. I therefore have set alerts to come up to let me know of said updates. My emails however are filled with stupid questions which are asked every few days which frankly do not need to be asked. Unless you have something constructive to now say please say NOTHING.
The progression of this is going very well which is hugely evident from the videos that both Prophet and Albo have been kind enough to post. You constant questions which have no purpose is blighting this topic which therefore means people are having to look further back for updates. It then means i too am putting unnecessary posts which i would rather not be doing. Please keep it to the topic instead of the silly questions and nonsense posts you put on.
To the Mod Team,
Guys I really am loving the progress seen and really look forward to see more in the future and the release when it finally arrives which I like everyone else are more than happy to wait for given the level of work that clearly is been put into this. So for that I thank you all.

gingeybread got a reaction from PolGuin255 in (WIP) LSPDFR/ELS Driving Simulator (Featuring a working console setup)Whats up all? I apologize for the delay on updates, works been crazy the past few weeks.
I'm currently working on integrating a Feniex 4200 Mini into my system to control different functions. I've also sourced a real Havis console (removed from an old patrol car at work) to move everything into. Once i get it all up and running i'll post a new video.
The photo below is a little something i'm tinkering with using 12v to trigger a lower voltage signal to ultimately allow the 4200 mini to function with my controller. The 4200 mini runs on 12v, which is too much voltage for my controller. The 4200 switches will trigger the relays (shown on the left) which will send a lower voltage signal to my controller (in theory) to activate it without frying it.
Don't mind the priority mail box everythings attached to, i'm just using it for pre-planning at the moment haha

gingeybread reacted to Prophet in Check out ELS for V!Please note I did this video at a moments notice because I know I am going to be busy this week. This is an extremely impromptu video and I hope to cover the next part in a more organized manner.

gingeybread reacted to PolGuin255 in (WIP) LSPDFR/ELS Driving Simulator (Featuring a working console setup)Always pondered with this concept after seeing the many home cockpits and home traincabs around, Glad somebody finally thought of the idea, The concept sounds great, and i would definatly be interested in buying one should it come to reality, Maybe we could see full CVPI setups for LSPDFR

gingeybread got a reaction from Officer27 in (WIP) LSPDFR/ELS Driving Simulator (Featuring a working console setup)Update: I've begun putting the console together, i still need to pick up a few things for it. I'm also in the process of coding my controller, but I have a quick little demo and some pics of the console mark-up I thought I'd share. Check it out GTA ELS Controller Testing

gingeybread got a reaction from Officer27 in (WIP) LSPDFR/ELS Driving Simulator (Featuring a working console setup)Update: I've began ordering the parts in for the setup, I'm looking to get a few of the switches up and running by next weekend and get a video together demonstrating the functions on GTA IV while we anxiously await ELS on Gta V. Stay tuned!
Below you'll see the 3d model of the plan for the "Deluxe" version of the console. This model shows the drawer hooks, this offers the option to hook the console on a desk drawer.
