Today I would like to announce the mod that I've been working on the last few months.

Modern Siren Pack is a sound modification that introduces current generation real-world siren tones in GTA V, giving you a realistic emergency driving atmosphere. This modification will restructure the current American Siren Pack modification and evolve into a larger scale siren modification for Grand Theft Auto V. The sound pack aims to introduce all known siren brands from around the world, and to allow you to choose the siren tones you want to have. The mod also aims to provide you a smoother and easier installation experience. Modern Siren Pack will also be compatible with the upcoming Emergency Lighting System V by Lt.Caine.

Features

Currently the siren pack is in early development, with limited siren tones. Below are the siren brands that are in the pack already along with some planned features.

  • The siren pack offers over 8 different Siren manufacture brands that are available in North America, including but not limited to : Whelen Engineering, Federal Signal Corporations, Code 3 PSE, Feniex, Sound Off Signal, Rontan, Carson and  Star/SVP.
  • Modern Siren Pack will also include several different foreign siren tones that are used/heard in various of European/Asian countries.
  • Some of the siren brands will come with 4 standard tones ( Wail, Yelp, Priority, Hi-Lo/Misc.Tones ) along with airhorn. This allows you to be equipped for the Emergency Lighting System Siren slots when it becomes available.
  • The siren tones in the pack will have a maintained level of volume, and quality assurance to give you the experience you want to have, especially by means of getting attention by other drivers on the road while responding code 3.
  • Some of the siren brands can be used for Fire/Rescue - EMS apparatuses.
  • This siren pack will change all of the available vanilla siren slots in GTA V.

This list is not complete. As time goes, more features/tones will be added into the pack. If you have ideas feel free to post them and I will take it in consideration.

If you are interested in supporting Modern Siren Pack, please follow/monitor this topic for future updates. There is no release date set in stone. I will release the siren pack when I feel that it will serve your needs with satisfactory results. Thank you for your support !

Thanks to @Albo1125 for his guidance, I will be making Modern Siren Pack compatible with SirenMastery, unlike Realistic American Siren. This will allow users to have versatile options with siren tones

A little update :

The pack is coming together. The dots are connecting, the siren tones sound good. I have an alpha pack established, and sent it out to several figures in the community for their feedback. So far, incoming reports indicates positive results but there is still room for improvement. If you are interested in trying out the Modern Siren Pack alpha, please send me a PM. Bring me coffee & donuts.

On a more exciting announcement to make :

I will be using my own personal recording device to capture actual siren tones in real life. There are some decent deals on eBay where I can buy used siren models, go out to the Rockies, and toy around with the siren tones while recording it all.  I want to position the recorder at different distances and point of origin. I will capture audio at the center, at 140 degrees and 40 degrees from the siren speaker position. It will allow me to capture the siren's Doppler/reverb effect. I want my sirens to have variety, like a 'bystander' reverb effect or from behind the siren speaker ( driver's perspective ) reverb-Doppler effect. No more flat sounding tones, this time they should have that 'dimensional' sound in mono 32 bit format. Or at least, I hope. I'm not ready, nor financially prepared to do this right now, but in the upcoming months ( or sooner) it will all come together to reality. But once after a long wait, the tones will be cut, cleaned up and used for Modern Siren. No more degraded YouTube quality siren tones. But for now, we'll have to deal with YouTube siren tones ( I go for the best and cleanest videos ) until the day comes.

I don't know how many of you guys will be interested in this, but if you are, please show some support and follow this thread for future updates =)

Wow I thank you so much for making the realistic american siren pack and now you are going to make an improved version. That is really amazing that you are doing this plus buying siren models to make the sounds to your liking shows your passion for this mod. I stuck with the siren pack after testing all of the sirens out there and nothing beats yours.

Thanks for your work it is much appreciated. Looking forward to the modern siren pack.

Read the Readme's and mod pages, don't be stupid.

Well, to be honest, I would like to have a beta pack done next month if all possible. I got new hours at work, and it's taking up more free-time to do things, so I'm limited to weekends to work on the pack. But don't worry, I won't quit on this pack, it has too much potential.

Thanks man, I would really like a good pack like your American one. There are two many packs these days that have small issues that ruin the experience with things like clicking and background noise. I know that you will do a good job so I remain hopefull. I'm not a genius or anything when it comes to this kinda stuff but if you need help with research or whatever then just let me know and I can put a report together for you to save you some time. Kind Regards, Officer West.

Hey, @GravelRoadCop!

In an earlier comment you mentioned that the pack will be extended including european sirens.

Regarding this, I would like to offer my

help in collecting german sirens for GTA V. Feel free to Pm me if you're interested.

It's great that you are taking effort in providing the best quality for the community.

Thank you! ;)

I don't know anything about German sirens or any Europeans sirens,  so feel free to chime in and provide references that I can use to create the tones you would like to have in the game. It will help me out a lot :)

That's good to hear, because I already made a german siren pack and a few single ones.

Thank you! ;)

I know this is unrelated but seeing as you guys are active in this thread can you tell me if the issue in the screenshot is caused by an incorrect carvariation.meta file. I'm sorry for posting this in here and i will delete it after there is a reply but nobody else is helping me with it. So I can't find the screenshot but basically on my police car, some of the lights just don't work and the ones on the light bar on top work but they don't appear inside the light bar they sort of make an x-shape on top of my car.
