Please read through the guidelines carefully. Violating content should be reported, not responded to.

Cheers lad, I appreciate you judging this with a level head and giving us a second chance, instead of wiping the floor with us.

I just briefly read through those guidelines, but one last thing, I read through and picked out one or two of those lines we were probably a 'lil guilty of, do you mind telling us (or PMing me) what SPECIFICALLY went wrong/we did when the thread was locked? Partly curious, partly want to ensure we steer clear of it a second time.

Cheers.

The offending posts have been hidden, so you won't see them when you're looking back through the topic.  The reasons for closing it were quite simple though:

  1. There were plane crashing memes, posted on September 11th (honestly one of the more disgusting things I've seen).
  2. A large amount of spam was posted - I'm not sure what the relation between videos about marker pens in a blender and LSPDFR Australia is.
  3. People were making accusations about theft and other violations that belong in the report system, not in public discussion topics that are visible to all.
  4. Justin Bieber somehow made his way in, and my eyes haven't quite recovered yet.
  5. A number of members seemingly lost the ability to string together coherent sentences and ultimately resorted to communicating in baby-speak.
  6. In a passionate display of friendly community spirit, members were wishing gifts such as cancer upon each other.

I mean there's more, but I think those six points will do for now as I could actually feel myself losing all faith in humanity while typing them.  Indeed, my reaction might best be illustrated by a still frame from the aforementioned marker pen video, which was oh so generously contributed to the topic by @Darkmyre.

Glad VR porn didn't make it onto the list, I used to think 9/11 jokes were funny (about the same point in my life I watched Syndicates Minecraft let's plays and pewdiepie, no points for guessing how old I was), now they just seem slack

other than that everything but cancer and theft cracked me the fuck up, ohh boii.

Can I ask why the management team chose to wait until everything was resolved and people were moving on back to on-topic discussions to take any action at all? And if we really broke rules, why wasn't any action taken against anyone? Either we broke the rules and should be issued with the appropriate penalty, we didnt break the rules and ineseri should be sanctioned for locking the thread without cause, or the site rules are worthless and nobody should care about them.

I used to think they were funny too. Until I went to ground zero, it stopped being funny after that.

you all might not see much of me for a while (hopefully), but I'll come back with lots of new cool toys (hopefully)

If you don't read my readme files don't inbox me asking for help
